Gabriel commanded Asher to turn around so he could disengage the cuffs.
"Ah," Col hopped up walking over to Jordan, as though greeting an old friend, "The famous Mr. Updike. A pleasure to finally meet you,"

Asher did as commanded, anxious for the cuffs to be removed. "Um, I'm not hungry, thanks." His stomach chose that opportune moment to rumble ferociously.

"Bingo," she winked, then flowed back to her seat, "Oh, and don't bother firing your security staff, I've already dealt away with most of them anyway," she examined her own fingernails, "Oh but I'm just blabbing now aren't I. Thing is, I've got a little business proposition for you,"

Smiling happily Kajin pats Asher on the head. "Now I said, what do you want to eat?" Behind the counter two little girls, one purple, one eyed, three legged creature and the other a small, four legged, ppuke green color creature, come from a hidden door and go to Kajin. "We're....here for Lukes medicin." Turning away Kajin reaches under the counter and pulls out a large wooden box. From inside she takes a bottle filled with little, blue pills. Handing them over Kajin reminds them, "grab him a glass of water aswell." The little girls nod and run back through the hidden door.

"Oh?" Updike asked, glad that each contract for those who worked for him stated that he needn't pay a single cent for any casualty on duty.

Nodding Kajin stepped threw a swinging door and intot he back. A moment later she comes back witha sandwhcih nd a tray of beers. after she sets the sandwhich down infront of Asher she smiles. "I have to go and give them their drinks. Don't move from here." So walking off Kajin begins setting down drinka nd customers put their money on the tray.

"Thank you," Asher said before diving in for a mouthful of sandwich. He was starving. He wondered how Kajin afforded to do this for people, and immediately slowed down, ashamed.

A dark creature with two horns and four eyes elbowed Asher lightly. "Don't slow down on your eating. She'll think you don't like it. Poor Kajin came here looking for her lover and now she sells herself to the DPC. We can't do anything aout it, she wants to protect children. In all truth outside of this room half the people in here would kill each other just for breathing. But here we all want to help her." Kajin came back to the counter with the last beer which she handed to the man that just spoke to Asher. As he went to put some money on the tray Kajin stopped him. "No Rehaho your rent is coming up. I don't want you kids in here along with the others. This one is free." Turning to Asher she smiles and askes, "do you want another one?" Looking up she calls to Gabriel, "first of all your paying for that table and second of all what you want."

Smiling happily Kajin dashes into the kitchen and comes out with another sandwhich. The entire time she has a smiled on he face. "Here Asher eat, I swear your all skin and bones." Chuckiling at her own joke Kajin stepped into the to come out with a large pot of soup. Going over to the hidden door she knocks so that one of the girls from before will open the door and take the soup. "Now remember that Caren is only allowed a little bit. She hasn't gotten over that cold yet." The girl nods and closes the door.

Gabriel sat down at the chair that formerly belonged to the broken table. He crossed his arms over his chest, "Oh me? I'm not going anywhere until that kid's contact gets here. And I'm not leaving until I find out who his legal guardians are,"
"Oh no-no-no... not unless I have to. I am simply proposing a partnership of sorts. You grant me some funding," Col leaned forward in her seat a bit more, "And at the same time, you get the use of my weapon, and of course a percentage of any profits made from it,"

Kajin rolled her eyes at Gabriel, "what do you want to drink or eat." Then her voice gains some venom as she repeats, "you will pay for that table."
