Kaosti gave her an odd look, "Nothing.... I guess. It's just something I'm gifted with, that I can use to help you.... And I don't mind doing it. In fact, I like helping people. It's how I was brought up." he set her on her feet and placed his hands on either side of her head, "So I have your permission, right?"

Kaosti did the same and began using what his grandfather taught him to "re-wire" her mind and allow her to escape her hellish nightmare.

After a brief struggle through the complex, twisted corridors of her mind, Kaosti re-emerged and released her. "Alright, Take it easy now, You're going to be pretty dizzy for a bit." he said as he held onto her gently to stabilize her.

He smiled and watched as she enjoyed her new sights. Unfortunately, there was no way to tell how long it would last, or if she would let him do it again, but for now she was happy, and that is all that mattered to him.

Kaosti squeezed one of her hands gently and asked, "Would you like to go for a walk with me... I need to get out of this place, and from the looks of it, you'd like what you see now, so how about seeing more?"

Kaosti walked her around many of the gardens, exploring all of them himself for the first time. He had never seen so many plants in one place, and was surprised they were all still in pretty well condition. he then decided to tour the surrounding woods and walked along what seemed to be a self worn path that unfolded throughout the woods.

As it began getting darker he removed his cloak and placed it over her shoulders, "It's not too chilly out here, Is it? Because if it is... We can always go back inside..."

"Alright..." he nodded as he drew a square on the ground with a stick. As he finished a large dark blue square shaped see through tent appeared in the square perimeter, "I gave it a slight blue tint so you can see where you're going... I would hate for you to hurt yourself." he smiled and laid in the soft grass inside the barrier tent.

Lucid dragged himself home, despite the fact that he looked exhausted, he was actually feeling much better. he stepped inside the manor and removed his shoes. he was being watched by Cortez around the corner. Cortez was curious as to how it went.
Lucid smiled to himself, "i see your still up."
Cortez stepped out from hiding "how did it go? you still have your limbs i see"
he laughed "it went surprisingly well, i feel like a new man"
Cortez looked pleased "want to go hunting?"
Lucid thought about it for a moment, then replied "yes, that sounds thrilling"
Cortez clapped his hands together with excitement "yes! a reason to celebrate, you look like a new vampire."
Lucid grinned, flashing his fangs "i am"

the two of them left the city looking for prey in the nearby forests, a small village was having a ceremony, and all the people were dancing around the bonfire. Lucid grabbed one of the drums and held it over his head, pounding it loudly. he walked near the fire, is presence disturbed their celebration and they all stopped in fear. their was silence as lucid looked around at all the faces. Cortez leaped onto a woman from the rooftop. the people screamed and scattered. Cortez killed the woman quickly and the two of them escaped with their catch. they perched in a tall tree and fed there.
"ah, nothing like fresh blood to renew your spirits" Cortez said as he wiped the blood from his mouth with a napkin.
Lucid exhaled and grinned with satisfaction. "i see what you mean"
when they were done they left the body near the village and covered it with a blanket. they returned home and showered, Lucid felt so refreshed he didnt feel tired. he sat on the roof of the manor and basked in the light of the moon. Cortez was feeling good to, he played his piano for the first time in ages, dust filled the air as he pounded the keys, the manor rung with his haunting melody.
