Raquel thought on that for a moment, looking at soemthing for herself since they were there. She loved Damian in his suit, maybe he would love her in something here. "I think..That when you love some one... and you spend so much time together, grow together, go through ordeals, like we all have... That you both change. Drastically. But its in a gradual step by step. I can tell you, you're both so much different from when I first met you. He's changing so much, not just for you, but for himself. As are you changing. You may realize it or not, but you are, and he sees that and loves that. Its just...you two growing more... close? Like moving closer to becoming one. Isn't that what marriage is all about?" She asked over her shoulder, picking out a rather sexy pair of Green lace. She considered leather or somehting more wild but her feelings for Damian were well above that. She wanted a beautiful relationship with him, not something perverted or dirty.
Abigael smiled coyly but with sharp old eyes. "Good for you. Back in my day, being upper class was a thing to be proud of. It was a world of elegance and propriety. In many ways it mimicked the victorian era of old Earth. Perhaps a bit less prejudice if anything." Richard scoffed but said nothing. That part was the only untruth. "But this new generation... It's all about the immorality and money...Thats it." She shook her head. "Disgraceful. I'm glad there are young gentlemen like yourself who have kept up a clean slate and differentiated yourself form those undeserving mongrels at the ball room." Sh nodded her head defiantly, really believing what she said, despite not knowing how inaccurate it was in a way.

"I guess... you're right." Lorey blushed a little when she saw Raquel choosing something for herself. Some things she just didn't want to know. "I think, maybe, that I'm also just scared that he'll get bored with me. I know he wouldn't, but... you know?" Taking a big step to her meant either making or breaking what they had. Lorey couldn't bear to be laughed at or compared to his late wife.
Once Damian had a chance to cringe without being seen, he did. How wrong she was! He had done drugs, had every relationship imaginable, had done unspeakable things. He was not the gentleman she held him to be. But she could have her beliefs if they gave her hope. "Thank you. It is good to hear that from someone after all this time."

Raquel furrowed her brow, turning to Lorey. "Can you keep a secret?" She asked, looking directly into her eyes. "I...I thought the same about Damian..." She let her look deter for a moment. "You know we didn't sleep with each other at all at first. I ... I didn't want to." She looked up at Lorey. "I mean, heaven knows I'm experienced.. as was he. But... I was worried of a few things. One was how I wanted what we had and still have to be special. to be real. I was afraid sleeping with him would mean like you said, he'd get bored after awhile, and discard me like my other clients. I didn't want that." She looked a little sad. "But...after awhile...I ...I swallowed my fear and put trust into him.... I'm almost positive he's had more... 'adventurous lovers' with 'larger appetites' than I... But... that hasn't seemed to hinder us. Like, He doesn't compare me at all to any of them, only unless he's telling me how much he actually adores me compared to his flings... What I'm getting at is.... Its scary... But when they really love you... They dispel all your fears..." Her voice was soft and sweet as she spoke these last words, fiddling with the ring on her finger, though made sure Lorey couldn't see.
"Well...She's lucky to have such a good man as you." She patted his cheek in a motherly manner, more proof she was slightly eccentric. "I'm sure your father and mother would be very proud." She nodded, looking through her purse. Richard looked over his shoulder to Damian, though held a neutral gaze before looking at his watch.
"The girls... should be finishing up soon. You know Damian, Lorey and I can look at the wedding bands if you guys dont want to wait up for us. We can just get a cab home or something..." He offered, trying to be of some help.

Lorey took her words to heart. She would know, after all, after what she used to do. Richard did love her. She'd be a fool to think otherwise, so she truly did have to trust him. After a little nod and grateful smile, Lorey held up the lacey thing in her hands. It was in her size and should fit. "So... think he'll like?"
Damian shrugged. He wasn't sure if Raquel wanted to stay, though he had no business there other than helping them. "If you are sure that you need nothing. We'll hang around, though. I doubt you'll have much for a ride home with the way you spoil her."

Raquel laughed. "He'll LOVE. He'll love it so much, he might just go insane before you two even kiss." She shook her head with a smile. "You know what...this is on me." She took the two Lacey things along with her own. "I do have a little money other than from Damian's wallet. I did get paid for what I did you know. I still have the rent money I never used so... Lets call this my gift to you." She winked, though it was almost funny to her. She went up to the counter and paid for the two sets of lingerie promptly, turning to meet back up with Lorey. "We should find the guys soon." She added holding up the bag. "I'm sure they're curious as to what we got. But they wont find out." She winked as she put away her worn little wallet into her purse. adjusting her own bag with her bridesmaids dress in it. "You got your gown?" She asked.
Richard chuckled. "You're right there..." He smirked, shaking his head. Richards motehr was still fiddling thorugh her purse, frowning. "Oh...well i cant seem to find my organizer... Richy darling, I should be going anyway. I'll call you later to finalize any plans. Alright?" She nodded as she slung her purse over her shoulder. "Give my love To Lorey nad Miss Raquel Hm? I'd like to say goodbye myself but I'm running late." Richard nodded with a sigh and a smile. "Can you get home alright?" He asked. "Richard Just because I'm old, doesn't mean I can call a cab myself. You just worry about your wedding, and Ill worry about getting my old feeble self home." Sarcasm laced her words as she pulled Richards coat down, kissing him on the cheek lightly. Richard stood back up looking bewildered. He hadn't been kissed by his own mother in... years. "It was a pleasure Mr. Centurion. Good evening..." She nodded to Damian before turning to leave.

"I'm having it sent to the house so it doesn't get wrinkled or anything. Somehow they knew Damian was here with us and offered the service for free." Lorey followed close to Raquel as they searched out the men. It was such a large place, and she wasn't sure where anything was. She really should have invested in a cell phone. "You should see if they'll do the same for you."
Damian gave a polite wave to his mother and a smile. No more awkward, guilty conversations for him, and he was thankful for that. "Your mother is... a character. Very nice, though." His silver eyes scanned the tops of racks and over counters to see if he could spy the white of Lorey's hair. And, he did. "Ah, there they are. I wonder what they bought?" A snide look was sent to Richard before he made his way over to the two women. He could be beaten for his insolence later.

"I'll be fine. Mine's not as priceless as yours." She winked. Lorey's dress was a beaut. Hers was a simple little cocktail dress but more tasteful. She could manage to carry it around for a bit. "I'll hold onto your undergarments in here was well, and drop them off in you room when we get back ok?" She smiled with a nod, looking up to see Damian searching them out. She smiled widely, taking Lorey's hand to lead her through a few clothing racks to meet up with the Men.
Richard cocked an eyebrow, blushing as he turned to see the girls coming himself. "Ah, Lorey." He smiled awkwardly. "Mother just left, she sends her love..." He coughed a little, trying to not look at the decorative bag Raquel held in one hand. But she jerked it behind her with a joking reprimanding look. "So erm...I thought while we're here...we can look for wedding bands?" He offered, distracting himself form the hidden mysteries of the bag.
Raquel smiled and tried not to laugh coming up next to Damian, hugging his arm. "I um...Did a little shopping for myself as well..." She smirked as she whispered quietly, letting a little bit of the emerald green lace stick out for just a moment, before letting it fall into the depths of the bag.

Damian kept staring down at the bag with raised eyebrows, even though the lace had fallen to where he could not see. The last time he had seen her in that sort of thing hadn't been a happy time. But this... this held promise.
Lorey was blushing and acting just a bit silly as well. To break the tension, she kissed him and gave him her version of a bear hug. "I'd love to. I have no idea what I want, though, when my engagement ring is so beautiful." She wore it every single day with anything she wore. It was her most beautiful possession, and she adored it.

Raquel smirked, but leaned up and kissed him on the corner of the mouth, letting it linger only for a moment. "That...is saved for our wedding night as well..." She purred very softly, the idea just coming to her. She was still smiling wickedly it seemed as she pulled back, letting the bag swing idly.
Richard smiled hugging her back. "Well, we'll have a look, and I want you to pick out the one that you love most. Dont hold back alright?" He winked his classic wink before pulling back a little.

He coughed and looked over to Richard and Lorey. They would be choosing their wedding bands, but what did Raquel want to do? Other than torturing him. "You are cruel," he said with a smile. "They'll be choosing their rings. What would you like to do?"
Lorey didn't want anything too extravagant, since her engagement ring had enough glitz to last her a long while. But, she nodded, and looked for where the jewelry counter was. "Alright, so, did you get a tux? How did that go?"

Raquel shrugged. She honestly didn't know. "We could jstu mess around here... look around a bit... Just until they're done." She suggested, wanting to look through the wedding dresses herself, if jut for fun.
Richard nodded. "With Damian's help it was near painless. I found just the right thing, and I'm positive you'll adore it." He winked again, resting a hand on her back to lead her off. He held up his hand to Damian though, before they got too far. "We'll meet you two at the entrance in about an hour or so. Is that ok?" He asked.
Raquel took Damian's arm to pull him off with her as she laughed. "That'll be fine. You to go have fun." She smiled, sliding her hand down to hold Damians. She had realized that they didn't have enough innocent sweet signs of affection between each other. She'd soon fix that.

And so, Damian was taken by Raquel by the hand, into the land of dresses, clothing and other extraordinary things that could fit under the roof of the department store. He wasn't even sure just what they would be up to since Lorey and Richard would be busy. Lorey and Richard made their way over to the jewelry section, where a pretty young woman gave them a smile and welcome immediately. "Hello! Looking for something in particular?" she asked with a smile that seemed customary, yet glued to her face. Lorey just nodded and returned the smile. "Wedding bands, please." Now, the girl behind the counter was trained to detect what someone's spending money was like just by inspecting their clothing, and she could tell by Lorey's worn out purse that she had practically nothing for this department store. Richard was well-dressed, but his coat was old. And so, the tray she set out was one of modestly priced bands, which Lorey still adored despite the marketing ply she had been subjected to. " That one's just lovely," she said, pointing to the dainty, modest piece of jewelry that she really did like.

Raquel led Damian off, just looking at various things, admiring the fancy clothes that she wasn't necessarily intent on wearing or owning herself. Just to look at and imagine herself in. Much like she did when she was younger and had no means. "Richard's mother helped pick out the gowns... She's got a real eye for it... she even found my bridesmaids dress. You'll love it I hope. I'll find a way to make blue work." She winked jokingly. "But Lorey's dress... Damian you should just see it!" She exclaimed, spinning around at the thought of it, her eyes sparkling. "Oh its is perfect on her! She looks like a princess!" She smiled at the memory, not realizing how light headed and airy she sounded. Her gaze and hands rested back on a clothing rack, though her eyes and head kept stealing glances to the bridal area. She was so happy for Lorey, but she couldn't help but feel this desire and tension growing to let everyone know about her and Damian. She wanted to show them how much they had both changed, just as Lorey was saying she and Richard had changed. But there time would come soon enough, but it still didn't keep her from edging closer to some of the longer, more bridal looking gowns dreamily. Richard smiled, his hand rubbing down to her lower back as he brought her in closer. "It's perfect..." He smiled as he looked at the men's bands. "...I liek... that one..." He nodded to simple band with blue accents, much like her own. He didn't elaborate he wanted it so he could always be reminded of the blue in her eyes. It was just perfect to him, minus the fact it matched hers perfectly as well.

"Lorey has always seemed like a princess..." He sounded like he esteemed her instead of being madly in love with her. Raquel had his heart now, and all that came with it. But Lorey would always have a special place. "Did she honestly like it?" he inquired as he, too, let his eyes wander over to the wedding dresses. The secret they were both keeping was starting to burn a hole in his mind as well. They still had to wait, though, so as not to steal Richard and Lorey's moment.
Lorey snuggled into his side as they stood and inspected everything. Blue seemed to be their color, and she knew why. It was her eyes, the color of the ocean on Altru, the sky on Druis. All the places that they were happy had that deep color to lull them into security. "It's very nice... can we afford them?" Secretly the young woman behind the counter thought to herself that if they couldn't even afford these cheap, boring things that they shouldn't even be in the store. But she kept her fake smile on, and kept quiet unless she was needed.

"Oh he adored it!" Raquel smiled back to him, nodding definitely. "It was very her as well. Had everything you mentioned too..." She smiled, turning back, kind of letting herself wonder a bit closer to the gowns. "If you...Damian Centurion... Met me in this store... and didn't know me from Adam... And you saw that i was looking through dresses and asked your opinion...what would you tell me?" She asked coyly, though still very curious as she leaned agaisnt a small table.
That was the question wasn't it? Richard fished into his pocket, pulling out his wallet and pulled out a thin plastic card. "Try this..." He said meekly, handing over his card, praying silently he had enough. Damian had helped more than he expected with the tux's so he didn't have to break into his account, which he had hoped he had enough saved up form over the years for these two wedding bands.
