He found himself at a loss for words as he noticed the saddened expression upon her face. He had seemingly regretted bringing the subject up as he glanced down at her. Perhaps his teasing had been taken a bit too far as he watched her… her voice faint as she spoke. It seemed a bit unusual for her to be thinking about her age at a time like this; and to think she was getting old? It certainly was not showing, though Shirou decided it might not be best to say anything on the matter; he couldn’t ignore the fact that things seemed to be getting rather depressing; his jibes and attempts at messing with her, not doing the situation any good as he averted his gaze, deciding it best to stare up at the moon, that was clearly visible even with the sun still barely radiating over the horizon. “I’m sorry…” He couldn’t think of anything better to say, but she was making him feel horrible. How things had gone from… actually great to depressed in such a matter of minutes were beyond Shirou… he was rather unlucky it seemed.

He blinked at her comment, before he suddenly felt himself falling backwards; he had barely seen the smirk upon her face, before Shirou reached out to grab the fence. His fingers scraped against the hard metal, before it slipped from his grasp and Shirou found himself falling. Yes, he was regretting calling her little now; was she angry at the fact that he had pat her as well? Now that he thought about it… it did seem rather childlike. Odd that he’d be thinking about this as he would have seemingly been dying; he smiled a bit as he plunged deeper; his eyes glancing around, only to have his fingers grab hold of one of the window perches. He felt an odd snap as Shirou clenched his eyes shut a bit. His fingers could hardly maintain their hold on the window, before Shirou was falling back first. Stupid as this was, his arm seemed dislocated; he had hardly been in a position to grab the ledge. ‘Stupid, stupid…’ he thought to himself before his eyes opened and Shirou touched upon the ground. Luckily enough, his feet had hit the ground first, before the redhead staggered backwards and fell. A slight laugh escaped his parted lips as he leant back on his good hand. Believe it or not, that was rather fun…

A smile of regret fell upon Shirou’s face as he sighed and lay on the ground, allowing his eyes to close. “I get carried away… so she tries to kill me… is it wrong for me to think I might actually want her around as more than a…” Was it stupid for him to want someone around who would torture him endlessly? He lay there, shaking his head; he was confused… his thoughts occupied with Rin… but at that same time, there was a hold that the blonde knight still held over him. What was stronger… and why was it that Shirou desired both?

Why she had a chance to walk through the school alone, why not visit some other old areas she remembered? The student council room, Sakura's classroom, the gym, behind the gym, and ohh what was the last place? "I was never good at remembering them..." Oh, and then it came to her, the Archery range. Memories of that place brought a smile to her face. She'd always go there when she had free time to watch her little sister have a go with the bow and arrow. Another reason she went was also to watch Shirou, but after he quit she soon lost that small pleasure. And then there was that blasted Shinji who believed that she was going to the range to watch his "wonderful" form. Such a sad thing to even think. From the way he went around shooting even she could get in a better shot on the first try, and she didn't even do archery. Though the sport had peeked her interest a bit due to the people in her life being involved within it... and a certain servant of hers.

"Why does it have to be so hot at night~?" Rin complained to herself as she finally exited the school. Her eyes scanned the area for her redheaded partner only to find him where expected, back first on the ground. She hoped he hadn't gone and died on her, she didn't have a gem to heal him at the moment.~ The magi laughed while remembering that and approaching him. "So when are you going to get up tough guy~?" Ahh more taunts and how she loved to give them, but did it really need to be so hot out right now? Her hand went to the color of her shirt, letting it flap open a bit to welcome in a circulate some form of air.

He had heard her exiting the school, but made no immediate attempt at getting up. He was rather lost in thought, lying there… over the three years, Shirou had spent a lot of his time thinking. Pathetic as it may have seemed to others, he occasionally spent nights sitting or lying before King Arthur’s grave. He’d never been that averse to the idea of talking to the tombstone and hearing something back; he wished that would have happened during all his visits, but things were never that fortunate for Shirou. Quite the opposite actually; everything was always difficult… always something, Shirou had to fight to hold onto. That was the way it had been with Saber… with all his friends; fighting to make sure they all survived… fighting for them and even her.

He blinked and glanced towards Rin as her laughter echoed through the school. He smiled a bit as he closed his eyes and simply shrugged. “You sure you don’t like the idea of me being dead?” He laughed lightly before sitting up and rubbing the back of his head. He glanced at the pulsing throb through his other arm as his lips slipped into a slight frown. He could return his shoulder to place, but at the moment, it was hardly a problem. So many more important thoughts rampaging throughout his head; Shirou shook his head, before turning his copper eyes on the magi, again. “Would you like to go home now, Rin? I mean, my home at least.” Technically it was her home one way or another as well, but he wasn’t sure what she thought of that.

The magi continued her walk to the other, only moving as close as possible when she found his eyes upon her. Best not to stand right over him in a skirt eh~? "If you were dead I wouldn't be able to get an amusement out of you." The playful grin on her face turned to an evil one before she looked to the side a bit. Her ears picked up his words and small recovery while she stared at the sun. It was getting late and night time was never a smart time to be running about as a master without her servant. Of course that thought made her think about her blonde knight a bit. That little emotionless bundle of fun she'd grown to... wait.. grown to wait?

Rin's face gave away the confusion that now riddled her as her hand stopped its attempt to cool her off. It removed itself form her collar, only to run through her hair a bit as she sighed. It looked like her heart was in a bit of a mess these days, but why did it have to be over these two? Well if luck was with her the blonde would feel nothing in return which would soon clear up her own mess and leave all on Shirou like normal. But, what if she did?
"I don't think I could handle that..." The woman mumbled to herself while looking back down towards the male on the ground. "That was the plan wasn't it?" Best to hurry up and go before the sun fully set.

His eyes watched her quizzically as the playful grin upon her face suddenly turned, not so playful. Of course, he was only the amusement…he blinked for a moment before a small smile slipped upon his face, all the while, shaking his head in protest of her words. “I’m just amusement to you, am I” That had almost hurt his pride a little; he shook his head before his eyes glanced up towards the slowly, darkening sky. It would soon be time to go… as a matter of fact, they should probably have begun walking, all things considered. Servants were already disregarding the rules as it was… he wouldn’t be surprised if the same were to happen now as well.

Her confusion shown on her face like an open book, causing Shirou’s eyebrow to arch as his curiosity seemed to somewhat spring forth to life. He wondered for a moment, what it was, she was thinking, but he doubted she would bother telling him. Her hand removed from her collar, Shirou suddenly felt warmth travel to his face as he lowered his gaze towards the ground. His thoughts had immediately taken a turn for the worst as he sighed lightly and allowed his good hand to brush across his forehead. Despite her attempt at mumbling to herself, Shirou frowned as her faint words registered barely enough for him to hear. He wanted to ask, before her azure eyes fell upon him. Nodding quickly, he stood and smiled faintly, before he began walking. “Are you alright, Rin?” His concern he hoped, wasn’t too obvious as he approached the gate, they had easily scaled over.

Well if you want I could make you other things.~" Rin teased the male once more while waiting for him to stand. The evil little smile of hers returning while her own thoughts drifted down many little paths, some good, some bad, and some naughty. Not like she would be sharing any of them. When standing was done she followed behind without a problem till reaching the gate. She blinked, staring blankly at the male for a moment. She had a feeling the question was directed on the thoughts she'd been having earlier about Saber, best not to share those eh? "Its nothing." The magi waved her hand in a dismissive manner before vaulting over the gate like she'd done to get in.

The process after practically repeated itself, expect this time she didn't look back at the male. "Nothing concerning you for now at least." The Tohsaka heiress responded silently before beginning the walk to his house. She didn't need to have directions given to return to the Emiya household considering she'd lived there for the entire war; a little time after as well. Gah, why did it have to be so hot right now? Once more she found herself trying to cool off, hand back on her collar. What happened to giving up on this attempt?

Smiling at her, Shirou shook his head lightly before he came to eye level with her. Her same evil smile appearing, yet even as Shirou stared at her, he couldn’t stop the unusual feeling swimming through the pit of his stomach. Teasing him as she did, brought back many memories and he could hardly help but feel nostalgic as he stared at her for a moment. Or at least what seemed like a moment in his opinion; his eyes lowered, suddenly conscious of how rude that might have seen, before his fingers ran through his hair. She had followed him, while still mulling over his question. She could not see the fact that a slight tinge of disappointment grew upon his face as she spoke. It had not seemed like nothing, but he knew not to press the matter, before moving his hand still within his hair towards the gate.

There’d been a slight pause between her words, before he blinked rapidly and turned to glance back at her. "Alright then.” That was unusual… it would concern him later on, then? He had easily returned to the other side of the gate, his feet touching the ground, much lighter than his first display. He found no particular reason to stop his slow stride as he heard her landing beside him. “I know it’s weird for me to be meddling but why would it concern me in the future?" He had not bothered glancing at her, as he turned his copper eyes on the ground before him.

Rin seemed quite like Saber purely because they were so secretive as to their emotions and what they were thinking… not that Shirou had any place in their heads in the first place, but it was somewhat unusual to be so left out and confused, as he had been in the past. Perhaps it didn’t bother him as much anymore, but it was still seemingly problematic. Stuffing his hands into his pockets, he sighed and continued walking down the sidewalk. He had offered that they go to his home, but this seemed a bit awkward, returning to… their home together. Yes he considered his home, just as much Rin’s as it was his. This had originally been a simple day… and then it had turned into battle and reunion…it was seemingly ending with him and Rin yet there was more to this than simply the two of them... She had someone… she had Saber and Saber had Rin. ‘Where do I belong, now?’

Glad to know he understood, or so she'd thought. Her hand continued to fumble with the collar of her shirt, taking in that nice cold air while her mind got to work. "You'll find out then, I'm not going to share everything with you.~" That would just be a little weird, and she doubted the male could survive such an experience. Rin always had something on her mind that was constantly changing at alarming rates, only to show up once more. She would probably end up overloading Shirou with many unknown and unanswered questions that he wouldn't understand; best not to do that to her little play thing.~

And so they walked on in silence for a bit, herself taking in the scenery and seeing what had changed. Sadly it was nothing much, some park equipment had been painted a new color, or the sidewalk had been redone. Nothing big really did happen in this city till a Holy Grail War, how depressing. "Ah... Where's that blasted knight and her cold armor when I need her?!" The magi just decided to complain allowed while they continued to wait for the light to change so they could walk. She was to used to the cold temperatures of England that Japan was just to darn hot. As if to prove the point the sun decided to shine up one last time, and right in her face.

That would probably be the most Shirou would be able to get from her, he imagined. He heaved a sigh before shrugging the thought away and continuing. It was a bit unusual that she would say such however, since Rin never shared a thing with Shirou. He was usually finding out by himself or with Saber’s help, though that at times, was even a rarity. He smiled at the thought and glanced back at her. Was she alright? His head tilted aside a bit, watching her fan herself. She really did look rather hot and it was nighttime. Had something been wrong with her?

“Are you alright, Rin?” He blinked and stopped, before turning his full attention towards the female. Even her words had struck him as odd though he tried not to imagine what was being implied. Shaking his head, he leaned closer towards her; his copper eyes looking over her before he placed his hand against her forehead. A slight frown came across the male’s face as he let his hand fall and stared at her. “I guess being in England so long’s really changed the way your body functions to the weather. You’d think seventeen years here would have had a more permanent effect on you though, Rin.” He smiled some before he tapped his cheek; his train of thought wavering in a different direction. “Guess, we could take care of this when we get back, but you sound as though you’re going to collapse from the heat any moment now.” He smiled a bit uneasy, but began walking backwards, allowing himself to keep watch over her.

This was supposed to be time spent between her and Shirou to catch up on old times, but her mind really wished to call the blonde to her right now. As perverted as it may sounded she really wished to just press against that nice cold armor.~ Not only would she get cooled down once more, but some embarrassed reaction was sure to come from Saber. The very thought brought a smile to her face and a slight 'pep' to her step for a second. "Not really, its too hot.~" Rin couldn't help but whine about what her body was trying to control. If she couldn't have Saber, then at least a nice cold bath would do, or if she had to she would take her shirt off. She had a tank-top on underneath anyway.

Taking off a layer doesn't sound that--" Her sentence and mind stopped, running blank as she felt a hand on her forehead then. Eyes went wide as her mouth buttoned shut, a small splash of red ran across her cheeks. Did Shirou think she was sick or something? A retort to that was going to be made until the subject suddenly changed on her. "Well I was outside a lot more in London then I was here." In the city of Fuyuki, the young Tohsaka had spent her time in doors most of the time. Either planning for the war, learning spells, or just reading up on some books. The only time she really became active with nature was after meeting and joining forces with Shirou. After that she seemed to be running around with the shadows of the night every day.~

It was nice to finally get some time to herself to decide what her plans for the city would be this time, but nothing came to mind. No, it wasn't that nothing came to mind, it just couldn't. For some reason her thoughts were filled with Rin and Shirou. What were they doing about now? Where the two having fun after not seeing each other for so long? A small pang of jealously ran through her for a second when she thought more on it. It was such a foolish emotion to let go though. She was a servant after all, wanting to hang out with Shirou, let alone Rin was a foolish thing. Such was beyond her now, her only reason for being around was to fight. And yet her heart ached whenever thoughts of her two teens came to mind. She wished for both and yet couldn't have them. Why was that?

Saber sighed from her spot atop a roof as she looked down at the city below. Later, she would discover what this problem was later. Right now she needed to look through the city and scout. Her master would want some sort of report after all. Yet as she made the jump, a small jolt went through her system as well as a light sneeze. "W-why am I?" It wasn't cold or anything, her dress and armor kept her quite warm. Yet for a second she felt like Rin needed her somewhere, and then the need to sneeze arose. How strange....

Too hot… the thought made the redhead smile as he could actually agree somewhat. His time wasn’t spent solely towards London like Rin’s had been, but he understood to a certain degree, where she was coming from as his mind started to drift off. She had stopped herself from finishing her sentence as his hand had touched her forehead. Her reaction was a bit unusual as he watched her eyes wide, followed by the snapping shut of her mouth. A bit confused; he couldn’t see what was so embarrassing about Shirou touching her forehead. It was hardly anything in comparison to earlier, was it? Regardless, his hand had fallen as he blinked and took a step back. “Sorry, Rin. I’ll ask next time, first.” She wondered if it bothered her, for him to touch her. The thought was rather depressing, but Shirou didn’t allow it to affect him as he continued his backwards stride. Maybe it was wrong to act so close… best to keep the formalities between them, so to say.

Hearing that she had spent more time outside in London, Shirou couldn’t help but allow nostalgia to wash over him, once again; memories of sitting there before the grave, clouding his thoughts as he seemed to stare off into space. It took him a while before the somewhat glazed look over his eyes, vanished as he now considered something, while looking at the magi. She had said that Saber’s armor would cool her down and Shirou could hardly help but feel that perhaps, it would be better if she was here if Rin needed her. He wished for her to be here as well, though he couldn’t feel himself sure he could handle such a thing. Perhaps it was best that Rin might go to Saber; his head tilting slightly as she seemed to have her focus quite a bit on her servant… not that Shirou could blame her; it wasn’t like he had any reason to. His own thoughts were lost as he considered his options; there was the idea of being selfish and not pointing out the obviousness that Rin was giving into or vice versa. He stopped once more, allowing his eyes to look down upon her; a small sigh before the youth smiled immediately afterwards. This was difficult; Shirou was feeling as though nothing had changed with Rin or Saber… actually, he was wrong. With Saber, it almost seemed as though what was once there for the boy, was now gone. He was… just a friend, it felt like. “You know… if you need Saber, then there’s no reason you shouldn’t call on her.”

Hn. No its fine... You don't have to ask..." It wasn't like she didn't like his touch, far from it, and that was what caught her off guard. This was stuff that was out of her natural comfort zone and she didn't know how to work off it well. A small sigh escaping her as her hand took a light break from her fanning. For the time being her eyes decided to drift off and stare at Shirou a bit. He seemed to be remembering something from the past, hopefully if it was about her it wasn't something embarrassing. Unlike him though she was sly with her gazing, and made sure to be looking elsewhere by the time he looked to her once more. Heh. It was like a fun little contest between them. Who will catch who watching first~? "Ah... If you're okay with it then." Rin hadn't wanted to bring the servant in unless the male was fine with it. What a stupid thought to think, of course he would be happy to have the blonde around. With that much known she went right ahead and "sent" a message.

One roof after another, no matter how many she jumped her head wouldn't clear. She let out a small huff of air in anger before feeling a strange ringing in her ears. Of course it was Rin, and it seemed she was being summoned, what she hadn't expected though was to get sucked up into a magic circle upon landing. Next thing she knew she was standing between her master and Shirou. Her eyes and body automatically looked around the area, thinking an enemy was nearby only to find... none? "Rin, why was a summoned?" Saber was confused now, there was no enemy so what was the point of bringing her here?

Looks like the little transportation spell did its thing as her knight was soon before it. It brought a small smile of amusement to her face to watch the actions she performed next before the question was asked. Ack. Naturally the blonde would get right to the point before the magi could think of how to set out her words. "Well you see..." Her voice trailed off while a hand came up to cover her face, less she start to blush. Now that she thought about it, it was a rather stupid request, but that armor was just all to tempting.~ "I was wondering if you'd... ahh.... cool me down~?" Rin asked while turning her head to the side a bit, not being able to meet those emerald eyes that stared at her blankly. How scary and yet lovely they were.~

She leaned in a bit when hearing that an answer was about to be given. A step was taken towards her master, and she meant for more had Rin's attitude suddenly changed. Why was she suddenly trying so hard to not look at the servant? And then it hit her. "Y-you want me to cool you down?!" The blonde's voice stuttered out in shock from such an odd request, a defensive step back towards Shirou was taken as well. Indeed the magi looked to be overheating a bit, but how could Saber changed that? Soon enough the answer came though as she heard her armor clank back with her, of course, the metal she wore would be cold. ". . ." Saber stared down at herself then, all emotion leaving her face as she thought this over. Was this really an order that needed to be followed? No, she shouldn't doubt the words given to her. "Very well then..." With that much she looked up once more, holding her hands out a bit as if to tell Rin to hurry it up before she changed her mind.

No need to worry there though for as soon as the request was accepted she practically jumped into Saber's arms. A surprised gasp came from the girl, but the magi was to busy relaxing herself against the cold armor to look up and see if she was blushing or not. "You always come in handy.~" Rin purred out with satisfaction as her arms lazily wrapped around the blonde while the others hugged and pulled her in. Indeed the armor was nice and cold, just what she needed to cool down.~

Shirou blinked before nodding in response towards her words. Well as long as she was alright with the idea, then Shirou wouldn’t feel so hesitant towards the idea. She did seem a bit out of her comfort zone whenever Shirou had come close or touched her; did their most recent actions strike, her as unusual and something she was not able to handle, yet? A solemn smile spread across his lips as he watched her, sigh escaping at all as she had finally stopped her fanning. It was unusual, yet Shirou felt as though he was being watched whenever his own eyes averted from the magi. He couldn’t help but find that rather amusing as the idea almost seemed like a game towards with the two. Accepting his idea of calling Saber forth, she did not bother hesitating in sending forth the ‘message’. It was rather instant, almost as the magic circle appeared between the two.

Seeing her surprised expression, Shirou couldn’t help but smile at the bit of surprise. It was just like Saber to think the cause for her summoning was due to an enemy’s presence. How amusing to see the confused look upon her face; the slight bit of entertainment only grew as Rin seemed almost embarrassed at the idea of having to ask Saber, what it was she desired from her. Her hand rising to cover her face, Shirou could only watch, with mild interest as she spoke her request, and quickly turned her head. The request seemed to bring a tinge of discomfort from the idea, though that hardly lasted long. Saber had even gone so far as to step back, causing Shirou to raise his hands. Her armor brushed against the palm of his hands and he shivered slightly, seeing exactly why it was, Rin had desired this so much. Saber agreed and Shirou immediately took a step back as she opened her arms to her master, who quickly filled the gap.

It was no surprise that Shirou felt left out; why wouldn’t he have? He was happy for them; honestly, he wouldn’t wish to see Saber with any other master, if not with him. Smiling lightly, he stepped away from the two, before he found himself sitting and leaning against the root of a tree. It was nice seeing them like this; even though Shirou wished he could have replaced them both… just so he could hold onto them both. A slight frown crossed his face as he closed his eyes. He had placed others before himself all the time; as long as they were happy… he would be fine, in the end, wouldn’t he? His head leant back against the bark of the tree as his thoughts fell upon them both. ‘They’re both so…beautiful...’ That thought couldn’t seem to leave his mind as he opened his eyes, to glance at them. There was nothing really for him, but to wait. It had been his idea after all, and he didn’t mind… at least he did not believe he did.

Deep down… none of them had really changed, that much. Perhaps Shirou had matured… they all had in different ways. They were still the same though and Shirou found himself happy that for the time being, they remained in the same world. It was cruel, that it had taken a war to bring them back together. It had taken a war for Shirou to fall in love… not once, but maybe twice. Struck right down the middle was his heart; separated in halves for the magi and the servant... could that have actually been possible? Perhaps. A slight smile crept onto his face as he glanced at them, before his copper eyes lifted towards the stars and moon above.

The servant couldn't help but let out a small gasp of surprise when she was almost tackled to the ground. Did she really need to spring her that fast? Either way it seemed Rin was now happy, a satisfied purr coming from her no less. For some reason when hearing that it sent the knights heart a fluttering, causing the grip she help on her master to tighten. It... felt nice to hold her like this and she smelled so... nice. Saber found herself leaning in and ducking her head forward a bit to bury her head in the hair of her black-haired master. Such a calming affect it seemed to have on her though she didn't know why. It was then she realized she was smiling a bit, her eyes closed from the happy feeling. They opened swiftly after that, her head moving back gracefully but with such a swiftness as if she'd committed a crime. It didn't look like her magi had noticed though since no new movement came from her except a sigh of joy. Emerald eyes stared down for a bit, confusion easily seen in them before glancing at Shirou as her hold on Rin tightened all the more.

She no longer carried any doubts on the actions she took to finally get herself to cool down once more. Her knight was just so cool and cozy right now, that she really didn't want to pull away once her body temperature returned to normal. Or at least it had been till she found herself being pulled in, and soon a presence was felt near her shoulder. "S-saber..?" Rin stuttered the name out in a mere whisper, not wanting the male in the group to hear. What was the blonde doing!? It sent a flash of red to her cheeks that made her happy Shirou couldn't see her face at the moment. This felt nice for some reason, and it looked like other was happy right now, so she wouldn't object and push away. The fun little feeling soon vanished though as it seemed Saber snapped back into her normal state of mind once more, or at least close to it, the magi noted the hold on her had increased with time.

The moment seemed all too nice, even for Shirou. Hard as it may have seemed to believe at the moment… he didn’t mind as much as he thought he would. There was pain within him… but they were happy, weren’t they? It’s all that would really matter to Shirou; that was what he believed even as he turned his eyes to the two of them. It was a moment before he realized that there were emerald eyes staring at him; the blonde servant looking at him… with a look of confusion in her eyes. His own gaze lingered for a moment, before he lowered his gaze, a small smile appearing upon his facial features. To ask what was bothering her would have been somewhat problematic; in his opinion anyways… he couldn’t begin to wonder what was going through her mind. He had wished to know but at the same time, was he better off not knowing? That seemed to be quite the problem for Shirou; he couldn’t find himself willing to express himself to one or the other, when they were in the same vicinity as another. Stupid as that may have been, considering they were now joined… in more ways than one, there was naught, Shirou could do about it.

The slight breeze had caught him off guard as he blinked, with a slight hint of surprise. It was dark now… technically speaking; they were enemies, since Rin had yet to agree to be the young adult’s ally, once more. Whether or not he should have assumed such, was something he wouldn’t do. This was after all, Rin he was thinking about. He found himself pressing his lips together, fighting the smile that came with those thoughts; his fingers reaching up to tap the side of his face in a rhythmic beat as he found himself finally able to return his gaze upon them. Or her… in particular. Rin seemed to have become aware of Saber’s odd adjustment; probably wondering what was going on as well, before Saber returning back to her master. It seems so obvious as to where their hearts lie... He smiled, yet he was conflicted from sadness and happiness as he laughed lightly, not wanting to distract them.
