the energy welled up around Rota's hand fizzled out.suffice to say, this was not the expected.a little agitated, Rota tried again. he welled up the ki in his body into his right hand, visualizing an arrowhead. the ki once more balled-up around his hand, but this time more opaque. sweat drips off of his arms and brow as the heat starts to get to him.I'm not going to be able to stand this for long.I need to get this done. he cocks his arm back once more, and attempts to fire again.

this time, the ki left Rota's hand. the shape of the shot vaugely represented what it was supposed to be, but it was progress. he was close, and needed to focus. he summoned all his effort to cement that shape in his mind. the ki flow was no problem now, he just wanted the shape down pat. he built up energy once more and shot off what he hoped to be a better-shaped shot.

the shot once more fizzled out rather than be fired. he was having the worst of luck with this for some reason.he had to concentrate though. his queen needed his assistance,and he would not let her down.he focused harder than he had before, trying to get this learned as fast as possible.his energy welled up inside of him, ready to be manifested.he let the power out in the ususal fashion.

this was getting irksome. he got close once and now...never again. failure after failure, combined with the extreme heat of the room, and you have an agitated Rota. he would not, could not accept defeat though. he charged up again, determined to make this work. he felt his breathing slow, his mind calm, and his ki well into his hand. he cemented the arrow-head vision into his psyche, making sure to never forget that image. the veins in the ki bulged out and in, as if blood was pumping through it.the room seemed to get a little lighter in the corners of the room, as if the darkness was being pulled towards Rota's hand.

he cocked back a wicked right hand, using every muscle involved in tandem. the motion was fluid as a running stream. with a mighty shout he punched forward in the usual fashion, but every muscle in his body was working like the gears of a clock to focus on this one task. he released the ki, and focused on that image, and keeping the ki solid.

the blade released from his hand as Rota shouted "STORM BLADE!". the shot traveled to the far wall, red, grey, and black veins snapping like lightning the whole way, whilst dragging the darkness along. the path of the shot could not be seen untill a second later when a stripe of light formed for an instant, then dissappeared. the shot hit the back wall, and made an extremely shallow slash in it. Rota celebrated for a few minutes, and the proceeded to dress, and get out of the oven he was training in.

Arin looked up as the door to the training area opened, and she had a devilish thought cross her mind.

Aki looked up to Arin as she stepped through the automatic doors, and she saw the gears turning in Arin's mind. She watched as Arin started walking toward the weighted clothing and felt the need to ask her: "Are you sure about this, my love? Do you think we're ready for this?"

Arin only grinned and grabbed a form-fitting purple shirt that obviously weighed more than it appeared and slipped it on, drastically reducing her strength and lowering her power level to 4568. She rolled her neck and you heard the bones cracking as she rolled her shoulders in tandem. She just nodded once and stepped to the training ring.

"Very well, then." Aki stepped to the edge of the circle. "New guy. Come here and take your position. It's Queen Arin against Me and you." Aki cracked her knuckles and kicked her bo to her hand, spinning it across her front and stopping as it rested horizontally on her hands, together directly in front of her face. She closed her eyes and began focusing her ki, raising it to the surface, her hair rising in the warm breeze.

Arin wasn't even going to power up. She was confident in her ability to destroy both of her opponents in her current state. She would even refrain from expending any ki if she could.

Rota takes a couple of deep breaths, reaches into his pocket for a hair-tie, and puts his hair in a pony tail. "ya know, if you're gonna ask me to sparring matches, you could at least remember my name."he cracks his knuckles and neck and assumes a battle stance. "The name's Rota. I don't think we've been formally introduced." he chuckles a couple of times and his black eyes flash red for a few seconds. "Regardless, this should be fun."

Type: Ki Scanner
Description: This is the most basic scouter on the market, excluding antiques. It allows a person to read apparent power levels to the mark. Unfortunately, it will explode if a power level is over 25,000.
In-Game Stats: Allows a person to read apparent power levels, in the original Saiyan language, unless specially made for a different language, or modified with a repair DC of 100.
Damage: 15 damage to the person wearing the scouter if they try to read a power level of more than 25,000, from the explosion.
Requirements: None, except it must be purchased from a Saiyan store.
Special: A Saiyan with appropriate background may begin at creation with a scouter without spending a technique on it, although they are not allowed to have the skills sense ki or conceal ki at creation.

Arin cracked her own knuckles and rolled her shoulders again, waiting for someone to make a move.

Aki decided that it was time to attack, and spun her staff, flinging two translucent pink balls of concentrated concussive force toward Arin

Arin took the shots that were aimed at her and shrugged them off for the most part. Without letting her feet leave the ground, she flashed to the side, aiming a knee at her closest target: Rota.

Arin would attempt to lift Rota into the air with her knee and would falsh above him, clasp her fists together and drive them down at Rota's spine as he hung horizontally in midair.
