Kia was surprised. he wasn't running full out yet, but he was approaching it. Well, no reason to hold back, he started to lean into the run, having spotted a straight section that Kalia wasn't using. He was able to gain some speed, catching up to her by inches at a time. Soon, they where neck to neck. He really wished he had thought of putting on his running shoes before he started. he was sure he would be getting much better traction then. He probably would be able to actually outrun her if he had.

"Have... you... ever... thought... of... track?" Kia asked again, not realizing, and not remembering, that he had asked her once before. He also was talking between breaths. Talking and running at these speeds were difficult. The trees where passing by more by blur. Kia dodged a tree, falling slightly behind her, but then caught up when she dodged one. It seemed they where of even footing, for the moment. Kia couldn't help himself, he started to laugh now. He was having a blast. Never had he managed to run so long with someone beside him. However, his laughing was slowing him down some, but not much.

Kia didn't slow down, instead he tripped. His foot finally snagged a root. He fell onto his arms, but rolled onto his back laughing. "I... I... haven't...." Kia was trying to speak, but he was laughing so hard, and still trying to breath. "Ran... like... that...."

Kia was just so happy that someone was actually a match for him. She even beat him! No one had done that in... well... not in the last four years at least. It was good to find someone he could actually train with.

His arms hurt, but he didn't care. It was such a joy to have run anyway. While laying on the ground, Kia took a moment to catch his breath, looking at the sky. It was so bright and blue. The leaves were so vivid green. Finally, he tried to finish his sentence from before, "I haven't run like that in... well not in the last four years at least." He was still breathing heavy, but he felt better than he had all day. The run from the day before was for his life, this was for fun.

Kia sat up. "if I was human, maybe. I have never experienced my muscles cramping or anything. Probably my healing ability taking affect there." He stood up, pushing himself up with an arm and a knee. "Well, you know what that means, right?" He winked, and then started running. "Race to the house!" He shouted back at her. He figured they could decide what to eat for lunch at the house. He also needed a shower now. Do weres even take showers? Well, Kia presumed so. Then he had the mental image of them cleaning themselves like a dog. It was rather humorous really.

If Kalia was really running full out last time, Kia figured he had this race to the house won already. He had a head start, as well as started at full speed. It might be close, but he should have it... then his pants started to fall down. Bad timing for it, as he grabbed a belt loop and hiked them up again, slowing himself down.

Kia ran to the building, bring the race to a draw, but Kalia continued to run inside. Kia waited by the door, his hand on his knee and a hand on the side of the house as he caught his breath. She told him about the upstairs bathroom. He really needed a shower.

For some reason, Kia felt really out of breath. He just couldn't breath in hard enough, or often enough. Eventually, while she was still in the shower herself, he sat on the floor, and then laid down. The world was spinning in his eyes, and he couldn't stand anymore. He kept breathing in deeply, and often, but it didn't seem to help him much. He was like that the whole time she was in the shower. Hopefully she would see him there, for he felt like everything was made of lead. His arms where heavy, his lungs felt like they didn't work, and his legs wouldn't move. He actually felt like his head was a steel ball attached to his spine. His chest felt too small. His just couldn't get enough air into him.

Kia's breathing didn't improve with her help. It was still heavy and labored. His fangs seemed to have returned, but his color was only slightly off. It was hard to tell, as he was red from the exertion of trying to breath.

Kia, seeing this action more of as a kiss than help, tried to push her off, seen as when she breathed for him, he couldn't breath himself. He just got a limp whack on her side was all his efforts led up to. He couldn't lift his heavy arms well. She actually found out about the fangs again by her second attempt, as they cut her lip more. Kia was unable to drink, nor was he really trying, as he was breathing. He didn't know what was wrong with him. Never had he had this problem before. Then again, never had he drank blood, nor pushed himself that hard.

Maybe he shouldn't have ran after all. His mouth was open, and his fangs were visible to Kalia, not that she might have noticed them disappear before hand. His face was still turning red, as he fought for each breath. If something wasn't done soon, who knows what might happen to Kia. He was more of a mystery the more that time went on.

At first, Kia was too busy trying to breath. He coughed up the first bit, but swallowed some. His breathing was still labored, and it was hard to breath and drink.

By this point, Kia was on the verge of passing out. His eyes where closed, so he didn't know what he was drinking. Whatever it was, it was making him feel better, slowly. It wasn't much, but anything that helped him would be good.

Coughing and sputtering a bit more, Kia was starting to except the blood from Kalia's open wrist. He was still trying to breath at the same time, and he was still breathing heavily, but it was slowing down. Still too fast to be normal breathing, but it allowed him to drink more as sputter less.

Kia continued to drink, his hand reaching up for whatever it was that was helping him. His eyes where still closed, so he fumbled around a lot. He was trying to being it closer to his mouth, so he would stop spilling it on himself. His breathing was still labored, but was getting better. The blood she was giving him wasn't much, but it was apparently enough to stabilize his system.

After a few more moments, Kia flickered his eyes open again, to see Kalia's face. For once he woke up and didn't see a blood bag. He was trying to see what she was giving him to make him feel better, but all he saw was her arm, covered in something red. He let his arm rest on the ground, and closed his eyes again. He just excepted that she was helping him again. Wait? Red? Was the medicine she was giving him red? Why was it on her arm? Well, he did cough it up... it could be splatter from that on her arm...
