"Family is family and you, bound by contractual obligation should be telling him everything he wants to know, even if some people asked you otherwise. You've got to stop doing what everyone asks of you and start thinking through the logistics of it all." Nodding lightly, "I think he is. Are you honestly going to bother him?"
"Well then, I suppose I'm hopeless because I can't help the way that I look at you." Grinning at her as she got up, letting his eyes track her movements. "Aw, come now...I have plenty of people to act like that around me all the time, don't you start."
That's what mothers were for, weren't they? To keep at us until we felt happy as could be again. Watching her go back to her flowers though she gave a nod and an affirming noise. "I promise. If this is a happy day, does that mean you have to have one of your facny important dinners?"

Giggling at his reaction, she stood back up and wandered over to him, kneeling on the bed next to him. "No submission to you? Alright." Resting her hands on his shoulders, she pushed him down to the pillow and hovered above him. "I guess that means I'm in charge. That could be very interesting..."
Elaria quirked an eyebrow in her son's direction, shaking her head. "I'm saving my fancy and important dinner for when your daughter comes back engaged or married. With my luck she'll do the same thing as you and elope and I'll be cheated out of both first weddings." Mumbling something under her breath that sounded suspiciously like 'crazy kids.'

Galesen raised an eyebrow as he crossed his arms, she still thought that he could not think for himself? "I actually thought it through, Kieran needed time to himself, he had asked me to just keep quiet for awhile and since I wanted to respect his wishes on the situation I did. He didn't ask me to actually keep a vow of silence, I was going to write a letter to Malik explaining everything when the time was right but it looked like I waited too long." Though Galesen paused as he thought it over and shook his head. "Since he just returned I won't, there is no reason to bother him just at the moment. If he had returned yesterday then I wouldn't have mind, but I think it can at least wait until after the tournament, at least he can enjoy it without having to worry about someone else." Galesen then smiled a little as he shifted from foot to foot. "Are you going to be there? It's not the same unless there is a Rainsong there."

"Hey now, I didn't ask for an explanation. You did what you did, you deal with the rest that happens." Shrugging innocently enough, even as she was still holding onto Nillrik whom was latched to her side. "Oh I suppose we'll all go and watch, if not compete. The opening and closing ceremonies are always my favorite part anyway. Especially when we get to play the music."
This was getting more and more amusing in his opinion but he wasn't about to stop her from feeling what she wanted to feel right now. Besides, she at least was going to get angry at him eventually for realizing she was here and how. Looking up at her he gave a lopsided smirk. "Well, you have to learn to be in charge of things sooner or later, your Majesty."
"No, she won't. She likes frilly and fancy and a big wedding deal or engagement party is right up there on her list of things that happen after things are official." Shaking his head lightly in that affectionate caring way before moving to crouch next to her and helping her out with weeding and such some. "I promise I'll make it up to you for mine."

She was quite on a high from the alcohol or something else she didn't really know. Something was urging her on and she wasn't questioning it too much either. She made a face at that and shook her head. "Don't call me that. Not yet. It's all coming way sooner than I can handle right now." Settling her weight on him more comfortably, she dipped her head and lightly pecked at his lips. "I can handle being in charge of you though. Will you do whatever I say?"
"Yes, she does. Takes after me in that respect, I suppose. Neither you nor Piper ever wanted all the frippery and whatnot. I don't believe Fianna likes it very much either, does she?" Regardless of how much time those two had been together, Elaria didn't really know Fianna very well at all. "You'd better, Kieran Silvercrest. You're my only child and I would like to be able to tell everyone that I was at least at your wedding. Even if it wasn't the real one. Did you do the ribbon ceremony?"

A chuckle to her as she rejected the title. "Fair enough. Besides, you'll always be my Songbird above anything other title that anyone will put on you." He wrapped his arms around her waist as she settled comfortably on him. "My mother claims I'm an unruly boy...but I suppose I could try to be good and do what is asked of me."
"Mother, she's a wood elf. They think autumn leaves are the most beautiful accessories there are. Being a Master Rune Mage also cuts the fancy some." Chuckling some as admittedly wood elves were indeed a silly lot sometimes. A little sigh, "No we didn't. It was really informal...and cost a lot." Because when you were a royal doing something like eloping...well you had to pay for silence and draw as less attention as possible. "We didn't want everyone knowing because of magic pulls and what not. Andal herself and stingy elves may think we're not married because of that fact, but we do." A light grin. "And she didn't have a surcoat."

He knew just how to make her happy, didn't he? She didn't want to be loved for her titles and having a personal one blew the princess thing right out of the window. Glynnic was a prince himself, now King, so it hardly mattered anyway. "Your mother just doesn't know you like I do." Nipping at his neck gently, she traced her fingers over his shirt. "I think this needs to go. Even if I asked you to sing for me?"
"Well, flowers are a much prettier accessory but I suppose to each his own. We Moon elves seem to favor our jewels above all." She was quite pleased to hear that the ribbon ceremony hadn't taken place yet and clapped her hands quite joyously. "Well then, you might be married but it isn't truly official yet. Not until the ribbons have been etched and combined and that, my son, will be the ceremony I will be attending." Kissing his cheek. "Well of course not. A woman doesn't' make her surcoat until she knows she's getting married. I expect you two cooked this idea up while you were out and gave her no time to make it."

Galesen raised an eyebrow at Isle before he shrugged it off and smiled a little bit. "I'm glad to hear, and it would be nice to compete against you, the only time we've ever fought was when we first met." A small chuckle to that fond memory before he gave another nod. "You guys always do with the music, a lot of people always look forward to hearing you guys play." It was true, even though the tournament held a lot of spectators most just love to hear the Rainsongs.

He frowned at Galesen. “Mama isn’t competing.” It upset him when she got bashed around, even if for all intensive purposes play fighting. And seeing someone hit his mother only made him want to hit them. Nillrik didn’t like to feel angry like that.
She ran her hand soothingly through Nillrik’s hair at his decision. Poor thing was having quite the phase at the moment, but it was cute in her opinion. He worried and he didn’t like some of the things he was experiencing, especially with the things of late. A little shrug though to Galesen, “Well, that’s the way it is Gale. We’re a popular bunch. Not too unique and the Arch can outdo us on some days, but we still enjoy it all. ”My mother used to change my diaper, I personally think she knows far too much about me.” He looked slightly horrified at that proposal of singing though. “My dear Lharika, I’m afraid I croak like a frog more than sing like even the most worst off bird.” Though he did prop up on his elbows some, pulling his tunic over his head as she had said it had to go, and settling down again. “I would hate to offend your ears with the ruckus I make.”
“They can do some pretty amazing things with said leaves. Especially in the way of headpieces.” Chuckling lightly as the debate of fashion was had briefly. “We didn’t want to wait on that part, but he really had no choice. And she didn’t have a surcoat because she wasn’t intending to marry me anytime soon. Yet she was the one who ‘cooked it up’ as you call it. I’ve asked her for years to marry me, multiple times and she finally decided to say yes to all of those.” Quieting some, “I just hope that she didn’t do it because of how I’ve been lately. She seems happy enough and wanted to do it…but I can’t help but think some things in the back of my mind.” That felt wrong of him.

"But the way you were when you were a baby and the way you are now are two very different things." She laughed at his face and shook her head, then pushed her fingers through her hair because she knew it made her breasts strain against her tunic. "It's not about whether or not you can sing, Nyc. It's about whether or not I'm in control and you'll do whatever I say." Dropping yet another kiss onto his cheeks.
Listening to her son, she followed his thought pattern and simply shook her head. That boy was going to be the absolute death of her. "Kieran, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of the timing but that woman has loved you since the two of you ran into each other at the ball all those years ago. The intent and desire to marry you has always been there. Why does the time she said yes matter?"

Galesen looked down at Nillrik and blinked once before he gave a nod. "Of course, I didn't say she has to compete, only if she wanted to do so." Though it seemed that the boy did not want his mother to compete at all, and Galesen had to wonder where this whole affection was coming from, he wasn't like that before. "I rather listen to you guys than the Arch anyway, you guys are more pleasing to my ears some how." A small chuckle to that, he had been listening to Isle play a lot more often than anyone else.

"She's not going to." Frowning as Galesen tried to disagree with him on the matter of his mother possibly being in the tournament rather than just watching it.
Silly Galesen, when would he remember that you just couldn't argue with teenagers. They had their ways about thing and she didn't blame Nillrik as his protective streak wanted to keep her safe. As far as he thought, he was the only man in her life to take care of her. It was cute. "Now Gale, that's just your bias talking. The Arch sound beautiful any day of the year, any moment."
"She still knows too much." Watching her with a smirk as she was purposefully trying to be tempting in her own way. Gods love her for it though. "Then I suppose if you told me I had to then I would have to comply. Whatever makes you happy."
"You mean literally ran into each other." He couldn't help chuckling at the old memory before quieting. Like a little boy he was seeking his mother's comfort, he knew that. "Because I know I've been nothing but a ball of misery lately and she'd do anything to make me happy again. That...and I hardly want to associate my father's death being the cause of me finally getting married."

Galesen looked down at little Nillrik and blinked once, yeah the boy was having a protect his mommy phase as it seemed, but it was no big deal, better to agree than not and then have a child after him. "Alright then." He then turned to Isle and chuckled a little bit. "I know, I'm not really saying that the Arch are bad, I like their music. What I mean is that I know your music more personally than I do with anyone else, which is why I like it more even though there may be others who can do better than you some times." A small shrug to that as he smiled a little, Isle's music was more interesting to him than he can say.

Satisfied that he had won the argument he happily nuzzled his mother in his victory. Keeping her safe was important, especially after she had been so sad lately. It was nice to see her happier. He even felt better himself.
She couldn't help but laugh. "That's still your bias speaking. All music is beautiful, no matter where it comes from or whom makes it. Arguing whom is sweeter to listen to only devalues the beauty that music is. Silly Gale." Shaking her head lightly. He really made no sense to her sometimes. "Listen hard enough and you'll hear music all the time and won't have to go without ever again."

Galesen looked down at Nillrik and smiled, the child was too cute when he was like that, maybe he was worried for her a little too much but it was alright ever since what happened it seemed his mother because his first priority. A look to Isle and he gave a nod. "I'm always silly aren't I?" A small chuckle to that as he thought it over, there were times when he needed to stop thinking about things so jumbled like that. "All in all it is always nice to listen to something, a violin, a breeze, a familiar voice," Galesen said that as he looked at Isle and grinned a bit. There was then silence for a moment before he let out a small sigh then looked at the two of them. "I'm feeling a little hungry, want to get something to eat?"
