"Original Gangster" is our show's title. The visual themes are going to be mostly gangster-themed, i.e. fedoras, pinstripes, tommy guns, and the like. Our tubas are trying to convince the directors to swap their hats for fedoras or do-rags. The music is a huge melting pot of jazz music, orchestral music, and hip-hop. Some of it is "Lex" by Daugherty (sp?), "Asphalt Cocktail" by John Mackey, music from The Godfather, Usher, Cypress Hill, I think I heard some Kilpatrick Fanfare in there... it's going to be so awesome. I'm really excited and my freshly-graduated boyfriend is so mad that he isn't getting to do the show. x3

Our show this year is titled "Spectrum" because we are using different colors and music to portray emotions. Our music consists of selections from Gustav Holst's "Planets"

Our Theme is "The Way of the Samurai," an original arrangement. It's broken into 3 movements (Obviously, opener, ballad, closer.)
The drumline is smaller, most in the pit which is very prominent. There's a section where the pit goes onto the field and becomes part of the battery, and we have a whole lot of visuals concerning the pit.
Even the guard is going to have fun doing it. Considering the rest of the band (wind and battery) doesn't have the option to dress as Samurai. Kickass, right?
