Selene sighed and returned Celeste's hug. "It's not your fault that security didn't do their job properly." She mumbled. She wondered if anybody had lost their jobs because of that. Well, provided they made it out alive that is. The attack had been so sudden and effective. With all the security, it was a wonder how the Wastelanders pulled it off. They were either very competent, or the security was very incompetent. Or perhaps a combination of the two. Whatever the case was, security definitely had to step it up a notch.
"Just promise me you'll be careful, okay?"

Faer sat at a desk in her secluded quarters. No windows allowed her to have relative darkness in which she could rest. But at the moment she was paging through her journal, reading by candle light. It was a thick leatherbound book. It kept her thoughts through her life. It was her story. She needed to write something about the recent events, but she know naught what.
The glimmerspell she had woven around herself was strong, and would last for many more hours, in which then she would refresh it. It hid how she looked. A person would see her as she wished them to see her. To Glein and Kelbora she would look as she had when they first saw her. She didn't want to see the uncomfortable glances from Glein and Kelbora. She had taxed herself heavily, and the result was this. Rest was what she needed, but rest she would not get. They needed to leave soon at Kelbora's request.
Finally she put her pen to the paper.
Wasteland Base: After Effects of Void Magic
Yestereve I witnessed, and participated, in a great mission. It ended in battle, with Kelbora and Glein being wounded. I healed the two as best as possible even with the strain of the Void and my Spirit Bubble. I should not have taxed myself so. The effect was devastating. I have aged a decade so it seems in the span of a few hours in the Void. I learned something that day in the Void. I can create time lapses, shortening the distance in which to travel greatly. But in that time skipped I still age, at a human's pace. I am immortal, and eventually I will drift to my previous appearance, but for now I remain haggard and dreadful in appearance.
To save the discomfort of my friends I have put a glimmerspll on myself to rid of the horrific apparition some might think of me.
I fear the Void has taken an even greater toll. I have met the One, though I know not who he/she may be. And now I know how I die. The Void will kill me eventually. And nothing can stop it. I thought I would die on a mission from the master I shall call the One but I figure more or less it will be myself, my own entity, that kills me. Until another day.
Faer blew over the page, drying the last words she had written. "Until another day." She then leaned back in her chair, her arms resting comfortable on the chair, her eyes closed. Now all she could do was wait.

Celeste smiles gently. "Nemesis will be here soon i hope but for now... I need you to watch over Rose... shes getting a big head again..." Celeste smiles and laughed gently. "Father wants me to report to him by the day after tomorrow..." Celeste kissed her sister's forehead. "Dont worry i will be careful when am i not???" Celeste smiles and stood up. "Get some sleep dear sister...." She walked out of the room and headed back outside. She sighed and picked up a phone and called Nemesis back. "Yes This is Lady Celeste i need to speak with your commander.... Nemesis..." She waited while he was summoned.

Dion Zeromus Wastelander/Pomme de Sang Status: 100% Mental Charge: 100% (Dampened) Emotional State: Calm Location: Purity Wasteland Base Current Mission: Aid The Lady of the Fallen on her mission
Dion followed Kel out, himself not at all knowing where Faer was. "So, I take it you got something on your mind." Dion stated, not at all seeming like he was worried about the upcoming trip. Granted, he was scared out of his wits, but then, whenever he was sent on an extremely dangerous mission, he felt the same way. He knew, he was either was or wasn't going to be coming back. Simple as that. He would simply do hte best he could, and merely ask whatever deity on high out there was watching, that what he gave was enough. As they wondering the corridors of the base, Dion couldn't help but wonder, what was going on. Why did Kelbora seem so intent on telling him to leave her? It had to be more then her wanting to end a contract, or making sure he was able to live as a human. Something else was gnawing at her, and he was worried for her.

Kelbora continued her brisk pace through the base with Dion behind her, not giving any visual response that she had acknowledged him. They needed to get moving, and fast. It was clear that Dion had no intentions of staying behind and heeding her warnings, and so she wasn't going to waste any more breath dissuading him.
If he died on this mission, then the blood would not be on her hands.
"There is much on my mind at the moment," She replied and sharply turned a corner, heading down the hallway that led to the back entrance of her and Dion's shared quarters, "However, I do not see how sharing it with you will aid in easing my worries."
There are just some things humans wouldn't understand.
Finally, Kelbora reached the room and walked in through the door, heading for her section of the room.
She came to the small locker in the corner, serving as a kind of closet, and yanked it open, pulling out a black briefcase and setting it on the bed. Unlatching the hooks that bound it shut, she opened the top and pulled open a few compartments within before withdrawing a couple items and resealing the case.
She then returned the case to the locker, shut it, and walked out of the room in search of Faer.

Dion grunted, watching her. As she left, he followed along. "You do know, the less I know, the worst off i'm going to be when our boots fully hit the ground." Dion told her, having already gotten his gear a while back. So really, all he needed to do was get Faer and Kel into the bird waiting on the pad. But he was making a point. The less he knew, the less his chances of being able to better adapt in a combat situation should it arise.

"You already know what to expect behind enemy lines in Europe, and I've already given you the option of backing off, and you refused," She said still briskly moving forward in her search for Faer, "As far as I'm concerned, you're taking your chances. I'm going to see a contact, get some information, and then leaving. If you want to tag along, then please feel free to watch your a**."

'God this woman is dense!' Dion thought, walking alongside her. "Yea, but what is so important about this contact, and whatever it is this information your wanting is? Frankly, anything beyond the fact that the VAF and the VCF along with whatever local militia units are in place are gonna be gunning for us, I can not help but think that there is something more your not willing to tell me!" Dion told her. "And if I don't know what to expect, then I'm not going to do well in watching my own a**, since I won't know what to look for." Dion stated.

The vampire almost smirked and never stopped moving, "Perhaps there's a reason I'm not telling you about where we're going, exactly? Perhaps there's a reason I'm not explaining the nature of my contact, as well?" She offered.
In all honesty, the second they hit Germany, Kelbora planned to take Faer and Dion to a safe-house...and make sure they stayed in that safe-house until she had finished her business with Schild.
A meeting with Schild was not something for mortal exposure.
If she told either Faer of Dion the location, they follow her, and if she told them that there was indeed another party involved in this war, there was no doubt that Dion would tell Bartz.
It wasn't time for that yet.
Finally, the vampire caught the scent she was looking for and made a sharp turn into a darkened corridor. After some traveling she wretched open the door to Faer's resting place and looked down at her.
"Ready?"

Faer's eyes snapped open as she heard speaking in the hall. She had been 'resting' (for Elementals cannot for some reason sleep) for the last three hours and felt nearly better. She didn't think she'd need the glamour.
Dropping the glimmerspell Faer looked in the mirror. Her appearance was almost normal. She had bags under her eyes still and a few wrinkles, but she was not nearly the hag she had been after her dreadful expenditures in the Void. She simply looked like a gracefully aged 40 year old instead of her normally 20 year old appearance..
Her golden amber liquid eyes stared from her darkened room as Kelbora opened the door to her chambers. Fluidly she rose from her chair, picked her journal up from the desk in front of her, and vanished it with a wave of her hand. She surged out of her room, Kelbora stepping out of the way, and closed the door gently. She had heard the entire conversation from her room. Really, did no one expect the walls to have ears?
"And this reason?" Faer's eyes speared Kelbora where she stood. Faer truly didn't care, her life would 'end' soon enough, what with it being a few days, years, maybe even centuries before the Void destroyed her physical being. She thought it would be the former from the way the power was roiling through her veins. Even Kelbora and Dion would notice the difference, what with the tattoos all over her body writhing and struggling constantly, making it seems as if she was weaving and constantly moving when she was standing perfectly still.
"Nevermind, let us leave this place." Her lips curled into a grimace of a smile.

Dion grunted. "Alright, bird's on the pad outside, no storm right now so we should be good." Dion state, already knowing he wasn't going to leave Kel alone, not with the way things had gone at the attack. And with Faer in a moderately weakened condition, Dion wasn't sure if he was really the only one who seemed in 100% condition now, though something told Dion it was likely just an illusion, considering the circumstances. "I'm sure the bird isn't going to wait long for us, so we'd best get moving now." Dion said, glancing at his watch.

"The flinch in your eye calls your bluff Feel free to die when you've had enough Useless cause is breaking your back Your life will end when you attack"
Upon first glance, one might think Fort Irwin was an abandoned, run-down military base. Upon closer inspection, however, Aida found this was the place she was looking for. After leaving Verleid's place, she went to find the nearest Wastelander base, hoping to be able to get in. She didn't know if they knew of her working as a guard at the vampires' ball or not, but that didn't really matter as far as she was concerned. If they gave her a chance, she'd have a connection to the vampires, which could prove useful to the Wastelanders. At the same time, she could continue collecting money from Verleid by acting as a spy on his behalf. Of course, he didn't have to know everything. If she played her cards right, she'd have it made.
Gathering her equipment, she parked her motorcycle and started walking over. On the way over, she had purchased herself a new gun, an MP7 to be exact. It was fancier than the normal pistol she usually carried, but she figured she'd give a new firearm a shot (no pun intended). She'd even bought a stock and 5x red dot scope to go with it. Since she preferred her sword for close-range combat, the scope on the gun would help take out enemies from a distance when she needed it.
As she approached the building, she could see a couple men take notice of her. Their hands immediately went to their guns as they yelled at her to halt. Aida held her hands up and stopped where she was. "I need to talk to whoever is in charge of recruits. I'd like to join the Wastelanders." One of them men whispered something to the other, the latter of which ran off, presumably to get somebody. The other man didn't lower his weapon, and Aida made no further moves, waiting for whoever was going to come before doing anything else.

Fort Irwin Base Security Team Alpha 3 Location: Main Gate, Fort Irwin Security Status: Alert
The man keeping his eye on the woman who had pulled up had yet to lower his Peacekeeper mark 2, or XM8 as it once was known, not wanting to take any chances. When he heard the side gate open behind him, all he did was glance, as 2 men walked out, one of whom was the one who had run into the base. The other was a relatively young woman, who seemed to have seen more then her share of combat. "I'm going to have to ask you your name Ma'am, before you see anyone else." She said, her voice slightly grating, as though her throat had been damaged somewhat in some previous battlefield. She was in hte same uniform as the other two Wastelanders, but she didn't have the combat vest or a rifle. In fact, she had a belt with a harness on her shoulders, with her sidearm, clearly not the same make or build as the two regular soldiers.

((Gaia ate my post format! D8 I swear it's supposed to look better than that. Stupid Guilds. *kicks*)) "The flinch in your eye calls your bluff Feel free to die when you've had enough Useless cause is breaking your back Your life will end when you attack"
Keeping her hands away from her weapons, Aida turned her attention to the woman that addressed her.
"Aida." Was all she responded with. She doubted she would need more introduction than that, as she was apparently well-known, not that she ever introduced herself any other way anyway. As far as she was concerned, they didn't need more than that. She wanted to work for them, and if that wasn't enough, she could act as a double-agent and get them information on the vampires. Of course, she would only tell them that part if it was necessary. She was still unsure of how they would react if they knew she'd been hired by vampires as well, though she supposed she'd find out very soon.
