"You guys DO realize Sousaphone is essentially a marching Tuba, right?" Jasmine was relaxing in a chair. "And nothing tops percussion, especially in this band. If it wasn't for us, we wouldn't have anything to count to. No one ever give creds to the snare drum."

"Of course i realize that. My Sousa can actually be switched from sousa to tuba but I don't usually play the tuba in concert band which is why I say I play the sousaphone. And even without the drums we could keep count. Any rhythm instrument is used for that as well as the conductor. I've been a part of a band with no drums and only me on bass and we sounded just fine." She turned back to Robert. "I couldn't tell you how well i play trumpet but I've been on it for about five years now. Amy turned to Erin, a thoughtful expression lit her face. 'I haven't really thought much on it to be honest. I've never had anyone to talk to about it."

"Heh. Mr. V couldn't even conduct a middle school band and I don't approve of the use of a Metronome. Percussion isn't just drums, my friend." Jasmine stood up and pushed someone from the snare drum. "If you're so great at music come and try your hand at snare drumming." Jasmine yanked the sticks out of the person's hands and held them in a tantalizing way in Amy's direction.

Amy smiled. She wasn't exactly a percussionist but she was the only one whop could play her only school's fight song on bass or snare. She took the sticks from the drummer and replied "I can't stand metronomes" before starting out the opening line to her old fight song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3PgZ7R-Nug

((It's okay-ish))
"Wow." Show off. Jasmine looked over at Erin. "I can't challenge her if she's not in percussion. Besides, the highest chair I can get is 2nd."

**It's a bad copy. it's better in person**
Amy quietly put the sticks on top of the snare and turned back to the other girls; Robert seemed to have gone back to his seat. "I don't really mind. I'm not in percussion any way."
