I'm out of Roleplay until I'm in a better mood, or until this dribbling gets somewhere. I don't mean to be an elitist b***h, but if half the people in this guild, literate and casual alike, would spend less time describing how pretty they are and more time with dialogue and plot movement, we'd all have a hell of a lot more to respond to. Elves are pretty. We know that. You only need to tell us once. If you can describe an eyeball and make it sparkly, good job, you've created a picture, but you don't need to give me ten eyes and twenty pictures before you tell us what the hell is going on. >:C

Soon, this bladder infection in the RPs will clear up, and dere will be no moar dribbling Sere. I agree, there is a lot of imaging, but it's still better than "bObby joe ramed hiz sOrd intO the drew chik's hart, killing hir ded".
But I agree, it needs to be going further than it has been.

But I agree, it needs to be going further than it has been. i could put up with that more than what we have if it were just the sparing actions of a player RPing pretty much a grunt in service of a more powerfull or influential character. (who wrote more properly of course.) but then again i guess my real point is, i concure with Sereth and this is why i havn't bothered jumping back in yet. i am waiting for a good plotline to join. i may never be seen again.

I'd really just like to bulldoze half the RP. It's not that I discredit anyone, but things go sour quickly if you don't come up with new things and fail to get the plot moving some direction besides face-down. I'm saying all this as a member, not as a leader or anything. It's just something that really bothers me about Gaia in general. If you manage to find an amazing role player, and believe me, they are a rare species, you will not see them spending two paragraphs to describe their character unless they are one of the Mary Sues making up 96% of the Gaia role play population with the sole purpose of finding another Mary Sue with half decent writing skill so they can hook up in character and then e-bang over PMs, then ditch the rest of the people that actually CARE about the plot, leave, and the whole thing dies.

Sorry for being an a*****e, I'm just venting some frustration. >:c i say vent away! xd i get pissed at that s**t too... >.> i've joined, left, created and abandoned a few dozen RP threads and guilds for that very reason. went through two characters here and had them both killed off out of boredom for the same reason. have a vaguely created character waiting but no good plotline to jump into. and nobody else on gaia is worthshit to RP with. hell i'm getting P.O.'d at this one girl right now who decides to jump into a pirateRP that one of friend's made, with the sole purpose of cybering me again, and getting bitchy that for a third time in two years i've turned her down! >.>

granted they were... but they tend to occaisionally get bogged down by petty side plots and budding relationships that go NOWHERE....
not to mention the place got torn by chaos and is in a broken state of lost glory.

Yayyy I'm back.
I am sorry I have been so absent lately, gah. I will be getting an apartment really soon though, so expect more time. Also doing a bunch of special art for the guild. I feel like if we have more visual stuff it will appeal to more people, so please send me your suggestions/sketches/ideas for banners, art, etc. for the guild. I would also like to know what else you think we should have art for. I'm thinking mostly along the lines of cityscapes, front page, banners, etc. And maybe some icons. Whoever wants to help with this PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE contact me.
Also wondering if there should be gold rewards for things, monthly prizes for competitions or something along those lines? It'd be more interesting than the banter Gaia has going on lately, and I think it'd be a rewarding feature.
News of my life: Dad is nuts, sprayed my cat with chemicals a couple weeks ago, fearing I'm in physical trouble if he goes crazy enough. I had a great time in Detroit with my boyfriend, we saw an educational IMAX film in 3D about the ocean and it was really awesome. I was considering moving to Seattle in September but I'm wondering if it might be more fiscally sensible just to stay in my home town and get my own apartment for awhile. I may not like it here, but I don't want to waste tons of money moving somewhere and then moving somewhere else when I find a place I want to settle down in(it's also really cheap to live here, 300/mo). Plus my boyfriend hasn't decided whether or not he wants to go back to school yet (a degree isn't really necessary in the entertainment illustration field, they just want your portfolio) and I want to see where this whole thing goes for awhile.
I have to start testing my blood sugar like a diabetic for my hypoglycemia now. It's not very fun, but perhaps people will take my condition more seriously if I'm gouging my digits for blood every morning; I get very tired of arguing with people that I actually have a medical problem.
