Ok so this is my first attempt here, I tried to read the wiki and get an understanding of the universe, and I'm pretty new to Gaia as a whole, but I've RPed before and I think this might work. I tried to go for a walking contradiction of sorts (basically a druid berserker?) so if that's unreasonable let me know.
Gaia Name: BuddhaRhythmic
Character Name: Brennan Ackart
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Species: Human
Skills: Brennan is self-taught in the way of the axe(s). His strikes are ruthlessly strong and wildly unpredictable, but aren't as swift as some fighting styles. While he was never particularly involved in any significant way, his druid upbringing led him to learn various hand-percussion instruments, as the beating of the drum was something he could identify with. He is also skilled at being incredulously stupid at times where a little sense would surely aid him. But maybe he's just that (skilled at being) confident...
Physical Description: A behemoth in size (which completely goes against his genetic background), Brennan stands a massive 6'9" and is almost nothing but muscle. All 350 pounds of him are nearly devoid of fat, except in his cheeks, which gives him a sort of baby-face (just don't tell him that.) His hair is long, flowing, and muddy brown in color, while his eyes are a myriad of dancing colors (not literally, but there's aspects of blue, green, and hazel to be found in both eyes which kind of round out and change color depending whatever one is most prominent in the environment[I.E. a green shirt makes his eyes look green as opposed to a blue one.]) Adding to the baby-like aspect of his face, is his lack of facial hair. Apparently, all the hair that was supposed to be on his face, was directed to his arms, chest, back, and legs, which are thick with wooly brown curls.
Personality: Brennan's naivety and positive nature belie his brave (albeit reckless) way of approaching things. He is similar to his fellow druids in that he yearns for a world devoid of war, but takes a more proactive stance on the issue. The politics of the world mean little to him, if someone is defined for him to be or recognized by his own experience as a cruel, twisted soul, Than all that matters is the elimination of that person. He has a stark definition of right and wrong, and depending on the severity of the injustice, will react accordingly (anything from a firm talking to, or an axe to the face could result). His druid elders and Coven allies have defined the enemy, and Brennan will undoubtedly seek to destroy them with all the fiber of his being. Also has a sometimes annoying habit of using cheesy one-liners and awkward utterances of onomatopoeia while fighting. ('Huzzah!' 'Kerplaw!' and 'Swoosh!' being his most often used battlecries.)
Biography: Brennan Ackart was born in the first few years of the Unmasked War to a druid family in Ireland. An exceptionally large child, he ate constantly and, to his parents dismay, pooped just as much as was put in. Although he was raised with the same teachings of peace and harmony with nature as other druids (he seemed to find peace with himself at a remarkably young age), Brennan took a very active stance on how to achieve peace in the world. His parents had idled through time, never really giving much shape or direction to the course of history. Brennan would be different. He began self-training his skill in the use of battle axes and halberds at the age of 13 and as he matured, so did his skill (as well as his size.) By the time puberty had run its course, Brennan was a behemoth compared to his frail druid peers. He mastered the art of fighting with a single axe and a shield, but soon decided that the best defense was a good offense, and so he gave up the shield for a second axe at the age of 16. All the while, he sought tutelage from various druids who were learned in the ways of enchantment and healing magic. While he never particularly excelled in healing magic, he learned enough to satisfy his desires. Brennan did, however, excel in the use of enchantments and biomancy. He learned to enchant his axes with earth magic to add to their defensive capabilities. The flora and fauna of the land was extremely receptive to his desires, and they fought with him whenever possible and disregarding their own well-being. By the time he turned 19, he was ready (in his mind) to be a contributing member of the Hunter's Coven and thought of himself as the gallant hero (IE. Hercules) who would muscle his way to the heart of evil and destroy it completely and utterly in the name of peace.
Alliance: Hunter's Coven
Group Membership: Druid
Supernatural Abilities: Basic healing magic is known in the form of being able to stop bleeding out and repair damage little by little over time. Beyond that he can enchant his dual axes with magic, essentially creating a protective ward against such. He can then use his axes to deflect or altogether stop spells from reaching him, but spells encompassing a larger area than his axe can still damage him (I.E. partial blockage of a ray or flame burst.) If he sees it coming, he is strong enough to use his axes as shields against bullets as well. Besides all this, his berserker like fighting style makes him seem much faster than a man of his size really should be, but is still every bit as powerful.

BuddhaRhythmic Hey there, I was recommended to your RP by Mr. Blackbird Lore and I gotta say I like that it's so in-depth, I just hope I understood everything on the wiki (not sure if I even got to every section but I tried lol.) Concerning the character submitted, I read that druids were like the hippies of the world and didn't really fight unless it was unintentional. I wanted to kind shake that idea up with my char. Oh, and druids can learn more than ust healing magic right? I assume it's most vanilla magic but lemme know if not. Druid magic is a fairly eclectic sort; there's a bit of healing, a bit of enchanting, a lot of biomancy, and the unique magic of the druids - that involves the creation of a shared spiritual link with with animals (and plants). This allows them to share ideas, concepts, emotions, the like; it's not a linguistic thing, obviously. ... I'm tired. I should stop doing all-nighters.

haha I know what you mean...I posted that skelly at 3:50am sweatdrop
Would you mind elaborating on Biomancy? Is that sort of the "reverse-healing" you mentioned in the wiki? The way I understand that is you basically induce and illness by manipulating, say, the vicatmin c levels in one's body to cause the acute symptoms of scurvy.

Biomancy is a collection of multi-disciplinary magical techniques that amount to fine control over anything carbon-based, pretty much.
*So tired*

Ok, so it's like you can control plants and trees then? If so I'm guessing controlling the carbon aspcets of another players chemical make-up would be off-limits then lol.
Anyway, is the profile alright? I did some editing to his powers to include the biomancy, but as I don't know the full extent of what I can do with biomancy, I'll probably have to rework it again.

Basically, yeah.
And applying things directly to another person means you'd have to force your magic through their internal mana field, which most can't do.

So I'm building up OL's little fleet of gun drones, and while I'm a tad stuck on the physicalities of them I've mostly got their load-outs figured, or at least what they do. So I've got Tabby, Erica, Samantha, Roberta, and Hubert, Tabby and Erica are bigass cannons that'll shoot you dead hours after you think they can't see you anymore, Samantha's a big ole' b***h who'll really ******** you up right to your face, Roberta'll make your life a living hell; Hubert's a truck... slash APC slash command center, he doesn't so much have a brain like the rest of them So in the load-out, all of them have such and such number of Eye-Pods (Yes I'm calling them that!), floaty camera dealies for targeting the many mile cannons, Roberta's got some spider-bots, but all I'm really worried about is the Spider-Goddess shields. Quote: The Spider-God (SG) shield package is a series of nodes, ranging from two to eight depending on the size of the shield being projected. Once the nodes are placed and activated they immediately erect a net of filaments between them, in differing layers based on the complexity of the node's type. The most basic layer uses filament that has been thaumaturgically imbued with a capacitance for mana, so when a force of mana, or something containing mana attempts to pass through the layer a, hopefully significant portion of it is conducted away and dissipated into the ground. A single layer is often effective enough to deal with anything that has just been enhanced with mana, reverting it to it's original state, which is largely harmless to modern armor. A second filament type is able to generate a barrier to moving objects, this layer is usually located inside all of the other layers as it degrades with each impact. Several further types of filament are tuned to specific types and organizations of mana soas to better protect against that sort, at the cost of protecting against anything else, they are usually layered to create a complex filter strengthened against what's deemed most likely to need defending against. Since the mana conducting layers rely on the ground to conduct the force away, and the barrier layers are by far less effective by themselves than a personally cast shield, there are no plans to create a personnel version. This doesn't seem like too much, does it?, Only Roberta gets anything better than a 2-layer

Calm down, samaritan. People are getting busy as school gets underway. Venom in particular is handling several large projects within BHotR, and has stretched himself out quite a bit.
Give the man some time.

thegoodsamaritan Um, hello? I've made some modifications to my first character. If you made it as an *edit* I'm never going to see it. Also, this thread's opening post clearly says to make a new post any time something changes. If you did repost and I just missed it, my bad, and I'll need a link to the exact post. ._.;

Oh, sorry. God, I have a tendency to piss people off...
Gaia Name: thegoodsamaritan
Character Name: Xane, the Cavalier Gender: Appears male Age: 10 (but looks and acts more like 45) Species: Demon- Minor Skills: Xane has no idea why, but he is quite able at guerilla tactics and mixed martial arts. He is also an able fire mage. Physical Description: Xane's appearance is guite similar to the one he had in life, though a bit more imposing. He is seven feet tall, covered in scars on his chest, arms, and face, and black. He has long dreadlocks, usually tied back in a ponytail, and a scruffy beard. He wears a long black trenchcoat, open (no shirt underneath), fatigues, and combat boots. He has large, batlike wings, tinged red, and his eyes are light blue, almost white. He has long teeth, particularly his canines, like a vampire's. In some places, it appears as though metal has been laid into his skin in serpentine patterns, most notably on his forarms and shoulder blades. Personality: Xane is a stoic war veteran type. He never laughs, or even smiles, and dislikes any who do so excessively. He believes that such frivolities have no place in such a dangerous organization as the Outlander Confederation, or any of the other alliances, for that matter. He takes missions with a cold, businesslike approach, completing his objective or getting what he wants regardless of what might distract him. Despite this demeanor, however, Xane is a very fatherly person to his teammates, especially younger members, and is very concerned for their well-being. Biography: There was a time that Xane didn't care about the Unmasked War; when he was alive, that is. In life, he was a werebeast by the name of Garrow Shaw, who, along with his wife, led a pack of well-trained werewolves to do several odd jobs for the Cabal Coalition, in return for hunting and breeding grounds. Garrow didn't care what he did, as long as his family was cared for.
Until The Incident.
The Cabal Coalition contacted Garrow with a mission, to destroy a Hunter's Coven camp near the borders of Garrow's lands. Garrow's son, Xane, was now old enough to show an interest in his father's business, and asked to come along. After much pestering, Garrow reluctantly agreed. With a large team in tow, Garrow crossed over, ready for anything... until he saw the inhabitants of the "outpost."
The place was a refugee camp for those that the war had uprooted from their home. No one lived there but women and children, the sick and the elderly. He was being assigned to slaughter the innocent. Even the most bloodthirsty of his wolves were feeling queasy about the prospect. Finally, Garrow did the one thing he could: he stood down.
Big mistake.
The air was alive with explosions; the Cabal had sent a team to tail Garrow's pack, to make sure he went through with the job, or eliminate him should he fail. Garrow could only watch with horror as the camp was decimated by the unseen attack, and then have the horror turned on his army. A flash of fire, searing pain, and then... nothingness.
When Garrow awoke in the Meteor Plains, he had no recollection of his previous life, except for a young male face, a flash of flame, and a name. When the time came, he chose this name, Xane, as his own. Ten years passed, and he trained himself in fire magic, probably because of the memories he still had. Over those years, he nursed a deep hate; that of the Cabal Coalition, though he knew not what they had done to make him hate them. When he returned to the world of the living, he hade made a vow to himself:
To find out the reason behind his hate, and to destroy the Cabal for whatever they had done. Alliance: Outlander Confederation Group Membership: none Supernatural Abilities: Xane has more-than-average strength, and a superhuman sense of smell, probably left over from when he was a alive. He also is an able fire mage, able to generate and shape fire to his will.
Is this better?
