Instead of solving his problem by focusing his mind on the training session at hand, Sukotto merely shrugged off the failure and continued to allow his mind to wander wherever it pleased. He imagined himself facing off against Maya and Baki once again, and began to wonder just how much genjutsu would have aided him in that battle. In the most perfect situation, the Uchiha would have been armed with a genjutsu that attacked the pair's ability to communicate with each other, thus eliminated their chances of using teamwork against him. If they would have had to fight him on their own instead of as a team, they honestly would have stood no chance, even if he hadn't ever activated his Sharingan. Sukotto remembered how easily he had managed to avoid Maya's enraged weapon assault by activating his kekkai genkai. He merely sidestepped the furious girl's attack, and had completely opened her up for any sort of physical attack that he could have thought of at the time. If Sukotto ever found himself fighting an enemy who used tactics similar to Maya and Baki's, he wanted to have the element of genjutsu on his side, so that he would be able to effectively cut down their teamwork and defeat them one by one.

In addition to disabling the pair's teamwork, Sukotto could have also created bunshins that would make him much more difficult for the pair to sense. While they had the advantage of sniffing out their adversaries and regular bunshins had no sort of smell attached to them since they were only illusions, Sukotto figured that the pair of Maya and Baki seemed much more offensively oriented, and weren't likely to have focused on training their skill in sensing opponents. Because of this, Sukotto's bunshins would have distracted the fierce team away from his real self, and it would have been a much more effective defense than merely trying to avoid their hyper-accurate attacks. As he managed to finally create a successful clone of himself, Sukotto stared at it for a few extended moments, marveling at how much easier that fight would have been if he had been able to employ effective bunshins at the time. Instead of facing attacks that weren't likely to miss unless Maya and Baki had messed up their teamwork, Sukotto would have given himself a much better chance at messing with the pair by forcing them to guess at their target. The would still have had a decent chance of hitting him, but it wouldn't have been a perfect chance, as was the case without the assistance of his clones.

Sukotto's Training Theme
Feeling as though his training was nearing its end, Sukotto allowed himself to have a few last thoughts about the subject of genjutsu before concentrating on the Orochi boy once again. While he had been used to developing taijutsu and ninjutsu that would only deal damage against his enemies, genjutsu would unlock a whole new world for his mind. Instead of focusing on damage, the Uchiha could develop techniques that harmed opponents in different ways, allowing the chuunin to become even more adaptable to the various situations that shinobi were presented with. If he fought against a ninja that wished to hide from him, he'd use a genjutsu that would lure them into the open. Whenever a speedy shinobi managed to dodge most of his assaults, Sukotto would have a genjutsu that would make them feel as though their legs weighed as heavy as the thickest trees in the forest. He figured that if he ever happened across another genjutsu user, his Sharingan could eventually be utilized to counter their illusions in some way, but he hadn't formed a plan for that sort of situation. After forming one last successful clone, the Uchiha allowed it to fade away, took a deep breath, and closed his eyes for a few moments, absorbing all that he had learned in the training. The exercise itself only took about five to ten minutes to complete, but Sukotto had managed to gain a lot of experience in the speedy process that he had put himself through.

Kanami had heard the male Uchiha speak, but she only gave him a nod at that time. She wanted to finish off this next part with the snake child before getting into anything significant (or perhaps hot and heavy). Once Shisei had finished his next part it was time for Kanami to implement her grading system. “Well you know what. It was a little shaky to begin with, but hey you’re learning right? That and for getting Naomi’s boobies the correct size and form that deserves an A++!” Kanami said giving a thumbs up. Shisei just stared back not amused. The diva could not wait to get back to the mansion to tell Naomi this. Maybe she could write a letter and send it by pigeon or eagle. Looking back at the boy, she could tell he needed a little rest before continuing. “Ok take a quick break and eat some more of your cake. I made it for you and you’ve barely touched it. Or is this some plan of yours to try and make me fat! I’m supposed to remain beautiful! And you’re supposed to put on muscle, now eat. I’ll be right back.” the vixen stated standing up and finishing her piece of pastry. She then took back her comb into her hand and began to brush her hair again. Spending all that time to make sure the little viper didn’t go past his limit made the idol’s hair jealous. It was hard to take care of such beauty and the wind was not on her side either. As if Aphrodite was trying to spite such beauty, a fierce gust of air blew by sending a wave of hair over the eyes of the kunoichi. And just when the brush was going to make everything better… The teen blew her golden quail’s tail to the side with a puff of air from her cheeks and then her fingers carefully pushed aside the dark blue locks so the clairvoyant eyes could see the world. Maybe she’d try the hair again in a few minutes. For now her form decided to walk up to the Uchiha who was now training with clones. “Great… another training freak… as if Shisei isn’t enough…” the diva thought with a sigh. Honestly what is it with boys and training every two minutes? They’re just going to more wrinkles in the future and that wasn’t cute at all. Well that could be discussed once the two new each other better. For now Kanami would just open up the conversation to get a feel for this older teen. “U-chi-ha. The new upcoming clan whose members have been causing a stir in different regions. They say their red eyes make them look like demons on the battlefield, but I didn’t think any of them were so handsome.”
1000 Strokes to Hair Goodness Baka Shisei! Romping around with a young diva for no reason. Even if the idea was Kanami’s but that’s not the point! The diva must give her hair 1000 strokes from the brush in order to reach back to styling perfection. 1d20 + Charisma 15= 23 DC: 25 Train: 1/5

Shisei lay back on the dirt ground for a while staring up into the sky. His brain was considering to just go to sleep at this point in time. His body did not mind either if that was the new agenda for the day. It felt so good to just lie back, even if it was on hard, jagged rock. Yet the snake student could not allow that to happen. His ambition and determination for success is what made him different from the rest. Just as his appearance divided himself from everyone else. In the past it may have made him feel slightly awkward, but this difference is what gave him the power to persevere. Closing his eyes the snake shinobi could picture the silhouettes of the other students in the light playing on swings and playgrounds while his form remained in the darkness alone. From long ago Shisei had found that answer and two years past have only confirmed it. “In the deepest solitude is where you can find the greatest strength…”

It is said he who walks alone walks the fastest. A truth that should have been a law as certain as gravity. The snake student could not see any other way. After all to help someone else would mean to stop your progression. In the law of the jungle that was never good. In the law of the world that was also a hindrance. Aside from family, which was to be expected, why do people make these bindings of friendship? As the youth’s breath began to slow down he could feel his energy returning. Slowly, but hopefully it would be enough soon for him to continue training. His thoughts still wavered on the topic of solitude vs companionship. Like the person with the lion. Just why is it that trash always desired companionship?

The Orochi seemed to have switched gears and was resting a bit, most likely restoring his chakra for the next stage of the jutsu training. Since Sukotto figured that the genin had at least one more phase to get through, he decided to go through the process of creating a new jutsu for his future squad. Sukotto had decided to attempt this feat on his return trip from the Chuunin Exams immediately after hearing the news of his promotion from Shinichi; it was the first plan he had came up with while designing the blueprint for the squad. The chuunin had figured that creating a jutsu that required a team of shinobi to execute would be a perfect way to both get them all to work together towards a common goal, and to determine how to train them. Indeed, a successful execution of the jutsu would require a great degree of focus, chakra control, and skill with ninjutsu to perform. He wasn't exactly sure how powerful a technique of this sort would be, as he hadn't even read anything about an existing team-based jutsu, but no matter what strength the technique possessed, it would most likely benefit his future squad in the long run. If it did end up being a powerful attack, then it would grant the squad a useful tool in combating any enemies that they came across.
After Sukotto began thinking about the jutsu that he intended on creating, the female Hyuuga began to address him. She opened the conversation by bringing up the Uchiha name. "The only Uchiha besides myself whom I've ever met was the former kage of this village, so I'm unaware of this stirring that you speak of. Additionally, I've never faced an Uchiha in battle, so I wouldn't know anything about this resemblance to demons, but it sounds quite intriguing." In response to her compliment, Sukotto only smiled. "I've heard of your clan as well, said to be the earliest ancestors of my own. You will simply have to show me the beauty of that specialized fighting style some day, reading about something so smooth and fluid isn't nearly as enjoyable as experiencing it first hand."

While he waited for the teenage Hyuuga's response, Sukotto continued to think about and design the jutsu that he had planed to create. Since he intended on having it combine three elements, the Uchiha had needed to consider which of the known elements would work effectively together. For instance, if water and fire were combined, it would be unlikely that the two would be effective together unless careful thought was placed into how the user combined the pair of elements. Since the three top picks for his team were still only ranked genin or below, they only had one element each, and Sukotto had taken this into consideration. The elements that his potential team possessed were fire, lighting, and wind. Sukotto decided that he would think about each of these elements individually, and consider both their strengths and weaknesses, while making sure that they would all work effectively together. If he messed up the combination somehow, then two or more of the elements would cancel each other out, causing the technique to become ineffective. The creation of this jutsu would be the most delicate task that Sukotto had ever taken on, even more so than the invention of his original taijutsu. He would need to carefully plan out nearly everything for this technique, and prepare for the unexpected things that would cause it to fail.

The Uchiha decided to begin thinking about the element that he had been least familiar with, lightning. To his knowledge, only the Raiken clan had access to this powerful kind of ninjutsu, and it would definitely be a welcome addition to his squad if Serena decided to join its ranks. Sukotto had once read something about the Raiken needing to charge their bodies in some way in order for their jutsu to work, but he wasn't sure if that was just some random shinobi writer mumbling about things that they didn't know, or if it had been a proven fact. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be respectful to ask too many questions about an element that was potentially exclusive to a clan. The members of most clans were taught not to reveal any secrets about their kekkai genkai, or any other special techniques that they had developed along the way, even if it would do a greater good to the village that they were part of. To Sukotto's knowledge, this principle was basically whacked into the heads of the youth in the clan, and he expected Serena to strictly follow that kind of rule, especially considering her up and coming rank in Shimagakure. This meant that Sukotto would have to judge the lightning element solely off of what he had read inside the library of Shimagakure.

If the Uchiha was lucky, Serena would reveal a few things about the interesting element that she possessed on her own. He wasn't sure if the lightning element required more chakra to use than other elements, if it did any more or less damage than the other affinities, or if it created any side effects after successfully striking a target. The one thing that he had managed to gather from his books was that the lightning affinity seemed as though it was a bit like the fire element, in that it was solely used for damage. The earth and water elements seemed as though they did damage in addition to creating ways to capture and hinder opponents. These were very handy side effects, but Sukotto was only pursuing ninjutsu that caused large amounts of damage. If he managed to create the teamwork jutsu correctly, it would be a hyper-accurate technique that drew on the power of three users, increasing its strength by quite a bit. While it probably wouldn't be as powerful as three separate techniques combined, it would be more easily learned by the low ranked members of his squad, and would act as a good foundation for teaching them the values of working together, which would be by far the most difficult task that he would face while commanding his own team of shinobi. It wouldn't be the only thing that he'd use for teaching teamwork, but it would definitely be one of the primary tools.

The use of the lightning element in Sukotto's jutsu for the squad was quite obvious: It would be used as a means of powering the technique up. Since he wasn't sure how reliable the kind of ninjutsu was, the Uchiha wasn't sure if he needed to be worried about the lightning element messing up the entire jutsu if it was unpredictable. After all, he figured that the lightning during storms was one of the most random and unpredictable things that he had even seen in his life. To imagine a shinobi controlling such a force was nearly beyond Sukotto, but Serena seemed to have been quite studious and hard-working while doing random tasks for the kage, so the Uchiha figured that a person with that kind of work ethic would have some degree of control over the element that their clan based all of its training and teachings on. If this really were the case, then the Raiken would be a perfect candidate for the jutsu that Sukotto intended on inventing. If she had a high degree of focus and was willing to work with others, then it would make the learning process much easier on her, her teammates, and the chuunin himself. He figured that since her clan was based on a special ninjutsu element, that she'd already have a firm grasp on that skill, so he wasn't too worried about that aspect, and just assumed that the Raiken clan had assisted her in becoming proficient with ninjutsu.

Perhaps Shisei needed to look at this from a different view. Perhaps it is not that they desired companionship, but it was required for them. After all an ant could not stand in the world on its own. It needed others to make it seem like a giant force. Was that the same for those at Shimagakure? They could not rid themselves of weakness and so desired to cling to one another. After all the Tenmoki woman was so powerful until her so called family was lost, Although the serpent youth wondered just what was fact in fiction in her household. After all, the woman had to have been lying the entire time about the Orochi being her family. At least in Shisei’s eyes. So just what was the benefits of having Seshiro and his elder sibling around? As energy began to flow more stable in the boy’s body his mind pondered that question for a few minutes.

Minutes later the question had dissipated as the youth’s brain went back on the first topic. Solitude. One would call someone clinically ill for such prolonged seclusion. Shisei had read it could cause clinical depression, loneliness or maybe even a small part of autism spectrum disorder. While the serpent youth had read on such things he could not recognize himself as any. Loneliness? All that word proved was that someone could not gain joy from their own pleasures. They needed someone else to stimulate joy and that in itself was weakness. The energy in the youth’s body was only slowly regaining. Similar to only a small spray of water filling a bucket. The boy would have to wait a while longer to regain back what he had lost.

One side of isolation was loneliness. The other side of that coin was one that Shisei believed to be truth. Or at least to eventually be his fate. Enlightenment. Even the little serpent knew he was far away from that word, but one day he would attain it. That would be when he would master all the jutsu the world had to offer. When he would find that bridge in between both life and death and with those three gargantuan divine environments, dilute their boundaries and make them his tools. It would not be easy, but nothing worthwhile was. It was only a matter of time. Unlike the other trash he has met, his eyes could see that dream in a far off distance. Still it was there, like a star in the sky and he would attain it one day. The only companionship one ever needed in life was that of family. Friendships in the end were a sign of hypocrisy. Just people banded together expecting to lick each others' wounds. Eventually one person would serve no use for the other and either allow that bond to dissipate or put on a false liking of that bond for the rest of their lives. Family on the other hand had an indestructible bond. It was instinct that was supposed to be expected.

Returning to friendship, there was no primary expectations that needed to be kept for that. The snake youth wondered for a second what new false chains of company was formed between the forgotten trash. He hadn’t paid attention to any of them. Only that one team was promoted yesterday. Names that had no significance without a face. The aura rose faintly within his heart as more energy returned to the small frame. If the boy was not so heartless he could laugh at the fact. Did those who join together as necessity or was it because of friendship? Either way it was the same the boy guessed. “They’re just like ants after all…” Shisei thought. The idea of having to possibly partner with trash was sickening. It did not work two years ago, then what would be the point now? The shinobi youth would need to talk to the Kage and see if he can gain solo missions. If not then at the most just work with Kanami. Out of all the worst case scenarios Shisei might as well work with the devil he knew. If he had to wait around for a team and work with someone like the Yuki’s new brat then it would just become a job in babysitting.
