*A desk clerk jumps in the way of the smelly and somewhat retarded looking imbecile.* Excuse me sir, but this building has a strict dress code, tie and suit only. I’m going to have to ask you to go home and return when you are properly attired. Also you haven’t checked in, what appointment did you have in place? I’ll reschedule it to a time you can be…presentable.

~~~
Kaiori looks to her personal assistant who is seated at her bedside.
“Mrs. White, I want you to arrange for a vampire to bite me.”
“Excuse me your highness?” Mrs. White stutters not believing her ears.
“You heard me. Just someone random if you must and I don’t want my husband to know about it either. That’s all for today.” Kaiori dismisses her with a wave. She was going to get back her strength, it didn’t matter how, as long as she wasn’t human she’d be happy.*
It had been a while since The Count had graced the city of Twice Royal. There were still workers out at the temple but it wasn't the same. A temple was hardly a substitute for a city. The Count's carriage began to move from where it had been parked; it looked like a flower shop. Now the carriage was on its way to one of Twice Royal's ritzy and posh shopping areas. The kind of place that hid top notch galleries and stores with eccentric designers with gorgeous tastes. What The Count was doing the, was anyone’s guess.
The change was subtle hardly anything at all and yet it was a change. As Kaiori dumped the last of her wine down the drain she let out a disgruntled sigh. This drink would no longer slake her thirst, nor would it satisfy her lust. In a black satin gown she crumples to the floor of her bathroom. She had gotten the best money could by, he was powerful, ancient and easy to pay off. Unfortunately he had left shortly after leaving her unsure of how to proceed, did she eat human food? Was blood okay just refrigerated? How often did she need to drink it? All of her questions unanswered, but at least she wasn’t human. She could feel her confidence and strength returning with each passing moment. She may be wicked but she will not be weak.
Turing turned with a weary eye to the desk clerk. The way his eye moved, however, might give one the impression that he was blind. Turing's vision was anything but flawed; it was just his information. The aroma about the man was, more than unclean, that one someone who had spent the past solid week in a machinery driven factory. The smel of metal, welding, electrical equipment, and workman tools covered his being. "Dress code?" Was his initial response. "I suppose you were born yesterday with that suit already tailored for you. Good luck, kiddo; I came a long way and don't have any money you'd take to. And I didn't come here with the intention of wasting your bosses time. If I'm not mistaken, there's an enigma in your city, and I have the answer to it. So if you don't mind, I'd just like to have a chat with whoever's in charge here so I can find the one I should be speaking with."
Smelly or not, Turing was a dignified scientist and spoke without hesitation. Still, it bothered him that there were even people here to ask for his appointment. His information said the city would be empty, yet it was full of people, businessmen at that. He knew the one he was looking for was in a city, and this was the only city that had shown up in his survey of the area; so how could it be the wrong city?
Kaiori knocks over a vase of roses as she runs to her velvet curtains pulling them closed. Her skin feels like it is on fire, she trembles her way to the phone and calls the front desk, yelling for assistance.
The clerk shakes his head with a frown, “I’m sorry sir, currently all of our head of staff are busy. Without an appointment you have little to no chance of being seen today.” Five other clerks rush away from the desk and into the waiting elevator. They are all white faced and sweating. They don’t allow anyone else in and quickly the doors slide shut.
His eye wandered as suddenly most of the other clerks rushed to the elevator and left the front desk much more open. With a 'charming' smile only an old man could produce, he turned back to the clerk attending him. "It seems your friends have an emergency. How about you go attend to them and I'll see if I can't figure out what my situation is here." As it was, he didn't think a little appointment rescheduling would be terribly bad.
*The clerks stumble into the pitch dark room of their Queen. Kaiori lay panting on the floor, safe within the shadows. Her claws dig into the plush white carpet and suddenly she hears it. The sound of heart beats, echoing in her ears, the pulsing of something undeniable. A women secretary is the first to find her, kaiori smiles weakly reaching out to her. The woman leans over to help her up and Kaiori strikes. Her fangs tare a good sized hole, her lips are too small to contain all the crimson liquid that bursts forth so some dribbles down their necks and on to the carpet. In minutes the woman is dead, half of her neck mutilated by Kaiori’s unperfected technique of getting what she wants. She yells at the other clerks to leave before they discover the mess she has made. They stumble out of the room, unsure of what even happened in the dark. Kaiori sits there panting and running her claws through her hair until the red in her eyes dies down. She finally gets up and moves to the door, it would be dark by now. Her hair falls into her eyes, its crimson, but that was to be expected. Now she had to get away and she had to keep Ceres from resurfacing. Perhaps the forest would be a better place to practice her new found skills. She slips out the back way, so no one would see her.
*****
*The clerk nods to the man and runs to the elevator. When it opens the other four clerks are there, they begin to mutter quietly among themselves.*
"Take your time," Turing muttered more to himself than to anyone else. With the clerks distracted, Turing shuffled his way over to the unattended desk and leans back against it. Closing his eyes, the man seems to relax, when really he's hard at work. Unseen to the naked eye and virtually invisible to thermal sensors, the tiny nanites work their way from Turing to the computer terminal of the desk. The moment they're inside the moniter, they instantly begin to work their way into the system, working bit by bit to be aware of any security systems and traps there in may lay, but Turing probably knew how these things worked better than the people who designed them. Still, it was always best to be cautious. In the system, it was the perfect opportunity to do information gathering, but Turing didn't know how much time he had nor when a random system ignition could blow his entire cover. Therefore, he kept to his one task. All of the nanites focused on infiltrating the appointment setting application. Quickly analyzing its form structure, Turing quickly devised a false entry and inserted it into the next available timeslot..... along with a little subroutine. A moment later, the system would suffer a blackout for no more than a quarter of a second before rebooting. The reboot had destroyed all of the nanites in the process, but the appointment scheduling would now find Turing as the next person to have an appointment with the one in charge.
With his work done, Turing simply waited for the next person to see that he had the next appointment. Still, in doing this, Turing had not been able to findthe name of the one he was looking for, so he simply placed himself to be the next interview with highest seat in the tower, which was undoubtably Griffin. "Odd, I wasn't told anyone named Griffin was even here....." he muttered to himself.
*Griffin himself descends the stairs. He mutters something to the clerks and they go back to their daily chores. Griffin spots the poor excuse of a man and makes his way over to him. He doesn’t bow or extend his hand in greeting, his purple eyes glare with a coldness one shouldn’t have at his age.* Your tampering has not gone unnoticed, lucky for you it has caught my attention. Why do you wish to speak with me so ardently that you must skip ahead of many far more important people? *Griffin shakes his shaggy hair out of his eyes and shoves his hands into the pockets of his white coat outlined in black.*
"A fine afternoon to you, good sir." Even if Griffin wasn't in the mood to be polite with Turing, he was still going to be at least somewhat amicable to the young prince. "You can thank me later for pointing out how easily tampered your computers are. I'll even fix them for you if you'd like." Straightening himself out a bit, Turing looked a little more like he had just come from dirty labwork than just walked into a city with half an idea of where he was going.
"To be perfectly honest, I came here to find someone. However, it seems my information about this city is gravely outdated.... thus I felt it best to speak with the one in charge about this. Besides, it seems you have other problems going on around here than just little old me. Maybe you'll be in a better mood when your 'far more important' bureucrats come to see you." Pausing for a moment, Turing reached into his front lab coat pocket and pulled out a pair of glasses. The round, gold rimmed glasses at least made him look somewhat more dignified, if nothing else. Despite smelling odd, Turing's hair looked pristinely clean, as did his facial hair. The difference was that his facial hair was pure white, where as his head hair looked as if it had been bleached white from blue, indicated by the bluer colored spots of his hair. The man's gray eyes held a strange sincerity to them as well.
Looking at Griffin with rather curious eyes, Turing took note of the prince's features. "Black hair.... somewhat pale skin...... dark eyes....." He recited the comments without any prejudice; it was simply observation. Turing blinked a few times, as if something was dawning on his mind. Griffin's hair was a wonder, but just perhaps..... "Are you by chance the one people call Mastema?....."
Griffin, knowing Mastema all too well bursts into a blind rage.
“You come here and disrupt my peaceful tower! Mess with and then insult my machinery! And then the greatest insult of all, you compare me to that blob of despicable flesh! I’ve come to the conclusion that you have merely come here to make a mockery out me!"
The swat team begins to line the walls and doors of the bottom floor, they quickly take aim. Griffin remains in place strong but shaking with fury.
“I must ask you to leave. No, I will not help you find that man, you can wonder till your death for all I care!”
Bell enters the room from her ground floor office; she brushes off the swat team who can’t hurt her and rushes to her brother. She wraps her arms around him, trying to calm him down. She has no way of knowing how he feels with their mother’s memories but she knows his heart is hurting, being a twin did that. Bell’s beautiful violet eyes turn to the man, her light pink lips open and her persuasive voice as eve comes out.
“Please just leave, no one can help you here.”
Unlike Tegral's monstrosities, KB's tools had a bit more grace. Furthermore, unlike Tegral's machines, KB's were sent specifically to be useful to an old friend. Not that KB owed Kaiori much in the way of favors, but he always enjoyed keeping an eye on her. She'd always enjoyed weapons as much as anyone, so he expected she'd find the latest drop-off to be quite... useful.
The sky was alight briefly from the entry of the small craft, a rather nondescript pod that plummeted towards the ground. Various systems timed and counted down, impact soon to become reality. Lights flashed and rotors whirred, the inside of the thing coming to life even as the outside was scorched beyond recognition.
The pod split at an unseen crease, breaking away the lid to reveal the form within. The seat it was affixed exploded, launching the body forwards at an insane speed. The pod slammed into the ground in an instant and was completely destroyed, forming a crater even as the body came to the ground. It would not impact bare however, for it seemed to hit a shimmering field and slow, before charging forwards. Its powerful legs carried it with the momentum that had been directed into energy by this field, giving it a burst that sent it reeling towards the nearby city.
It would be a mere minute later before the thing was inside the city limits, invisible traversing the walls and skipping across the rooftops towards the target location. A location that had been pinpointed on its HUD, the vision afforded there taking in various details as the masculine, slender body continued.
Standing at an even six feet, the humanoid form would come towards the main doors directly. The entirity of the body was encased in a white bodysuit of unknown fibres, the chest area appearing lightly plated somehow. The head was completely covered by a metallic mask, a single orange optic glowing right center between where normal eyes would sit, at the top of the nose. It carried in its right hand a plain looking 3-1/2ft straight katana, reverse-held like a knife so that the edge ran facing outwards from the forearm.
A simple message would be conveyed directly to the buildings main feed, text without a voice, designed to repeat itself until answered:
Exist to serve.
Now, would Griffin take advantage of KB's gift, and use it to remove that which plagued him, even Tegrals designs? Only time could tell, but as it stood, this ninja was simply there to give the young man some peace of mind.
The enraged reaction was far from expected; it was an honest question. Turing watched as the undertrained SWAT team took to the walls, himself vaguely aware of what was going on. The man turned back to the trembling prince blinking as if unsure of why such a minor crime as switching an appointment merited armed people with half an idea of what they were supposed to do. Turing already got the hint to leave, but he did nod to Bell, whom he didn't inquire to any further. Griffin had the chance to clear everything up right then and there, but emotions seemed to have gotten the better of the boy. Turing was apologetic about unmeaningly causing the boy to become upset, but it was clear no offer of apology was going to calm this one down at the moment. "Very well. I'll seek it on my own. I apologize for my disruptions. You may forget you ever saw me." Putting his cane on the floor again, Turing shuffled toward the entrance. As he neared the armed men, he waved his cane dismissively at them, as if his wooden cane was worth more than their rifles. "Get these abominable things out of my face!" The weapons had evoked a short but strong burst of words from the old man, before he made his way to the door.
Having come upon him so suddenly, the white ninja nearly knocked Turing off his feet in his approach, but Turing let it pass with an annoyed grunt, continuing on anyway. He probably assumed the ninja was something Griffin already knew about.
Griffin was usually one to shoot a gift horse in the mouth, but with his sister watching and the situation with his mother….well he just didn’t need to deal with this s**t. Nodding in the ninja’s direction he mutters.
“Yah, you, come here.”
He wanted that revolting man out of his sight and was glad to watch his ugly a** leave. Nodding to his swat team, they run out the door, to apprehend a run away queen. Griffin had known about his mother’s foolish plans long ago, since a vampire can be “made” to talk. All he needed was her home; he knew about Ceres and planned to deal with her in the most peaceful way that Griffin knew how. After all Ceres was his mother as well. Bell regards the white man-like form with curiosity; their little tower seemed to attract a lot of queer things. She remains at her brother’s side, tightly hidden away for precautions sake.
The Ninja let the old man pass, almost as if unaware of him. The single orange optic focussed on Griffin as he made his approach, stepping about the old man and deftly slipping through the doors in his wake. He would come before Griffin and stand silently, observing the actions of the man and his sister. The relationship between the two was lost on the bot, the thing simply awaited an order. The weapon was still in hand, with no sign of a sheath. It seemed the thing had no use of one, almost as if the concept of putting the blade away had never dawned upon it.
Behind the featureless mask a face smiled.
