For New Love slot - Nick and Nori

Proof of RP heart V-day Story
heart It was the night before Valentine's day....er, night...and though Nick had never celebrated it before, he did find the human holiday intriguing. He'd known that it was the day they went all out (if you weren't some cheap b*****d) to show their love to their mates, and for the first time, Nick really felt the pull to do something special for Nori...however he was a bit mystified about what to do. How could one such as he really do to show Nori he cared? Candlit dinners were out (he doubted Nori would stand the idea of him bringing home some unlucky SoB on a platter who'd remember nothing but what a great time they musta had), as were most other human activities. Granted there was the one they were already doing that involved many changes in bedding, but he wanted to do something
special....different even...but what?
Restlessly, his wings beat against the darkness as he flew through the night towards home. He was taking his time, somewhat hiding his thoughts from Nori, but also trying to get any clue from his mate about what he'd might like to do...He had the thought of completing the transformation, but that felt more like a gift to himself than Nori in this train of thought.
Back in their lair, Nori was sitting back on his haunches at the entrance to the cave. His bright eyes were turned to the sky, though he wasn't paying much attention. Nick had flown off in search of tonight's prey. ....Soon he'd be joining him on his hunts... Once the third exchange was done he'd be like him... He sighed, laying his head against the rock opening.
Just how had Nick beguiled him to do this? To join his kind? Really, he wasn't worried at all about it. He didn't care about shedding his former life to join him. Shouldn't that disturb him? It didn't. He wanted Nick to be his final master. He wished to stay with him until either one or the other of them ended up dead. Of course, he'd go if Nick no longer wanted him. He had no choice if that ever happened. But he'd definitely leave his heart behind....in several broken little pieces...
He shook his head to clear the dark thoughts. For now things were perfect.
As he waited for Nick he curled up and slipped into a dream. Since his mind had never actually acquired shields, Nick could easily look into them, finding and almost alien landscape near a lake in what was a perfect night, the moon the only light on the both of them in their dream.
Nick was glad that Nori felt none of the anger nor sadness that he could of at having to leave his former life behind, but who'd be insane enough to want to return to something in which you weren't happy in the first place? Granted, the idea of going to anything OTHER than what they had now was clearly unthinkable, and he'd never do it in a million years. Hell, he had a feeling that if either of them died, the other would not be long to follow...
He was contemplating this as Nori fell asleep, thinking about heaven, and what it might be like. The image of a beautiful moonlit beach on a nearly still lake, with the stars shining bright overhead and a full moon seemed the perfect idea of heaven to him. It took him sometime to actually realize it wasn't his thoughts, but it was a dream that Nori was having. He wondered...could such a place exist? Without much of a second thought, he wheeled around in lazy circles searching for clearings and tasting the air for the scent of water.
It was dangerously near dawn by the time Nick returned back to the cave, but he felt triumphant that he'd found the perfect spot. He only hoped Nori would like it...it would be better than only seeing cave walls for once. Laying down beside his soul mate, he nuzzled him softly and drew him closer.
Nori purred, waking with a smile because Nick was finally back. He noted how close to daylight it was and nuzzled him lovingly. "You're rather late... the sun's almost up. I'm sorry I fell asleep, but I do rather fear it when you cut it this close..." Any chastising effects were rather weak since as he snuggled up to his master burying his face against his neck, taking in his scent.
"I'll have surprise for you when I wake up," was all Nick would reply, intent on making the most of their time left before sleep would overtake him. He was excited, even in his exhaustion, and it could be felt in every tremor of his body and mind. It was merely too bad he couldn't of found it sooner, but least that'd give them most of the next night to really play... with that satisfied thought, he fell asleep, a grin plastered to his face.
"Oh?" It was all Nori could say, his mind wandering over whatever it could possibly be. He could feel Nick's excitement, though he hadn't quite gotten the hang of reading his mind. Whatever the surprise was, he hadn't the least little inkling as to what it could be.
....And that had him dreaming of several scenarios once he'd slipped back to sleep, snuggled up against Nick.
When Nori woke several hours later, he continued to wonder over what it could be. His wandering thoughts plagued him even as he hunted, leaving him distracted and nibbling at a rather poor meal. Of course he wasn't exactly ever hungry any more. He was eating because he figured he should before his body became weak.
As soon as sunset started nearing Nori sat himself down in front of Nick, waiting for him to wake with an incredible look of curiosity on his face.
Nick finally awoke with a huge stretch and a yawn, momentarily startled to not have Nori against him, but that was replaced by amusement soon as he saw the curiosity that was blazing on his mate's face. Making a show of it, he got up and stretched idly, taking his time, but his own wish to see the look on Nori's face as he beheld what he'd found was too great to delay for long. Refusing to say anything than "It's a bit of a walk from here," he led the way out of the cave and into the evening dusk.
It was full moon-rise by the time Nick stopped and put a blindfold around Nori's eyes. "Just a little further, I promise...just take my tail in your teeth and follow me..." He was grinning from ear to ear as he felt the curiosity intensify from his companion's mind, unwilling to give out but the barest of hints even mentally, but just enough to whet the other's appetite for more.
Nori went along with the blindfold after a moment's hesitation. He didn't fear Nick. No. That's why he went along with it. This was Nick. Nick was like his previous masters who used the blindfold to their advantage. Stepping closer he took a breath and nodded, letting himself be blindfolded. Just what Nick was up to he had no idea, but it only fed his curiosity all the more. Gently, he held Nick's tail between his teeth and followed him, always careful not to harm him.
Finally, Nick paused for a moment, taking a deep breath of the air before turning to Nori and taking off the blindfold. What he'd see would be as near to his dream of the night before that Nick could make it. A small lake with the moon reflected in it's mirror surface...the feel of silky sand beneath his paws and the only difference was the addition of a hut just under the trees and protected by the sun as Nick doubted that they'd be able to come back in one night, nor that they might be leaving this place for awhile. Turning to Nori, he bowed his head and whispered, "Happy Valentine's Night."
Nori sucked in a breath, his eyes going wide as he looked around. It was the beach from his dreams. It was perfect. Absolutely perfect. How the hell was Nick able to find a place so much like his dreams? When he turned to Nick it was with tears and a smile.
A moment later Nick would find himself pounced and rolling on the ground with a rather super-affectionate Nori. "Thank you....Thank you so much... I...I can't even begin to think on..."
I love you...
