((Meh, I'm bored enough, and where is Sephora? XD))
The guards walked closer to the turn in the corridor, speaking with one another, their full-auto weapons cocked without safety. One in the back carried a sawn off shotgun. He sighed as he spoke to the others. They were getting closer now, 20 feet, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15...then they stopped. A man in front pulled out a radio and spoke into it softly, then put it away. He began motioning signals to the other men and they both nodded. Now, they were moving more covertly.
It was as if suddenly they knew there were intruders that hadn't been taken care of inside the building. Their steps much lighter, and movements more knowledgable. If anyone looked around the corner again at the wrong time, or for too long they were liable to get pumped full of lead. The metal would sear their bodies and fling them back from the sheer kick.
((Meh...I'll live for now I suppose.))

((EEK! I'm falling behind!))
Na'fiel tried to keep her movements are quiet as possible as they sped down the hallway, following the elf. Secrecy had never really been her forte. She had always prefered to make herself known and just get the problem out of the way.
Voices up ahead turned her attention back to reality. They must be guards, since the four of them hadn't even reached the stairs yet. Apparently, they wished to stand in the way of the group reaching the 20th floor and destroying the target. Not going to happen. Seeing the drow wave up four of her slender fingers, she assumed that there were four guards. Hmm...four for four. Then, she noted the elf slide behind Zaniah, she had to surpress a snort. Okay, four for three... That would be fine as well.
They obviously had guns and probably had no difficulty killing the small group on the spot. It was a shame they couldn't kill. A jab in the throat would be an easy way out of it, but Hybrid had warned them not to do so. She let out an inaudible sigh. Oh well.

(Same here Xx; )
Arkus crept (or at least tried to) all the way until this hallway, standing behind Lasha. He heard everything that they had, and Arkus' muscles tensed.
There would be a fight. A glorious fight. It was about time. They would subdue these 'gentlemen' and move on to their goal of this Franz Draco person.
He clenched his fists, ready to use them. They were all he needed, but he had been acquainted with all sorts of 'street weaponry': pipes, chains, guns, and anything else that you could imagine that would just be found lying around on the ground.
He began to focuse a part of the inner power within him, the warrior spirit that most of his kind had, which had a name that he, sadly, could not remember. Ki, he thought, was what most Japanese called it. It was something like that but more... subtle. Less flashy and only applicable to the body itself, not the environment. It would make his muscles double in strength and allow him to smash through that door... and he would take it out with ease...

The guards slowly made their way down the hallway, getting closer and closer to the intersection. About five feet away the guard in front holds up his fist for the others to stop. They cooperate and wait as the first guard clicks off the safety on his weapon not sure where the enemy is. He then pushes off and leaps out into the turn. He lands sliding and pauses for a moment looking at the people in front of him. He pauses only for a moment before his gun begins to spray a deadly rain of lead. Lead that pierces many armors.
The other guards jumped as they watched him. Two remained behind as back-up and the other rushed forward to join, his safety clicking off.
((Enjoy))

Cursing sharply as the man appeared around the corner, Zaniah pushed off and rolled to the opposite side and getting her dagger in hand again. Throwing it, it wizzed through the air before landing with a wet 'thud' in the shooter's leg. As he gave a cry of pain the drow leapt into action before the other guards to get a chance to shoot at her, grabbing the gun quickly from the side and pushing it towards the wall and away from the others before smashing it up and into the man's face.
Then taking the gun all-together and dropping to the ground and snatched her dagger from the unconsious man's leg as he slumped against the wall.
"Looks like we've been ratted out people.." The shadow hunter called behind her in a playful voice before tossing the now silent gun at the other guards who quickly dodged to avoid it, little did they know that it had only been a diversion whilst the drow came charging in to do a wall kick and land to the side of the one nearest her. Tripping him before he could begin another flurry of bullets, she left him to pick himself up before leaping behind the wall again as the fourth one suddenly let loose his own gun.
"Well come on you two! You're missing all the fun!"

((Don't assume things Light...I'm letting you do that at the moment. I'm even letting you assume these are novice Shadow Hunters. Next time keep in mind, Shadow Hunters are trained better than Navy SEALS. They have to be able to deal with people like you and Arkus wink Just keep that in mind for next time))

((Yay! Fighting!))
Na'fiel smirked. Now this was what she was here for! Surveying the scene for a quick second before moving in, she found that the fourth had just begun to shoot while the first was down. The other two seemed dazed, at best.
Heading straight into the fray, Na'fiel knocked her wrists together and watched as two long, sharp thorns came up from under her skin. Grinning, she picked out the one guard who was shooting. She ducked under the gun and came up quickly, jamming the heel of her hand upwards toward his chin. The gun fell from his hand just as quickly as he fell to the floor, unconcious. He wasn't dead, hopefully, unless he was just incredibly weak.
Picking out another, she threw a well aimed kick at his hand, knocking the gun to the floor. The mermaid kicked it and it skittered into a corner, away from his hands. The second his head turned to try and retrieve his lost weapon, Na'fiel stabbed him in the shoulder, injecting enough venom to confuse him, somewhat. She wanted to save the poison for a better time. Then, she punched him left, right and up, then tripped him and watched as he crumpled to the floor.
There was only one of the guards left, but she figured that she would leave him for someone else. He grabbed his gun and started firing wildly, bullets easy to avoid. She would avoid them and give someone else a chance to have some fun.
Odd though...these four didn't seem very well trained. Was it a trap?

((Sorry guys..haven't posted in awhile.))
Upon hearing the shrill cries of the telephone nearby, Azriel loosened her grip upon the dismembered head within her hands, her fingers having been threaded tightly within the girl's mane of hair. Her heart throbbed in quick staccatos with the dismal screaming of the phone, and she realized upon eye contact with it that there was no regular person on the line. It was not Franz, because although he was an efreeti, he would not be calling her with such rapports of insistance...her eyes narrowed considerably as she realized the other alternative to whomever was on the other line, and before taking the receiver within the pale, blood-stained hands, she sprayed an odd, green-looking resin into the mouth of the corpse's head on her lap. Making sure the liquid fell down the head's lips, a satisfied grin adorned her features-though one could not possibly interpret exactly why such a strange phenomen had occured, the girl bothering to feed a dead body.
Pulling the receiver from the desk and bringing it casually to her ear, she inquired in a soft, polite tone of voice,
"May I ask who is calling?"

Hybrid listened as the phone rang. Those in the office near making their way out, not wanting to be near this odd shadow man. He heard the phone pick up and then...Azriel's voice. He closed his eyes slowly. "So you killed her...I was hoping she had gotten away. You should remember Azriel...that everything will come full circle. It always does. I would be ready...for anything. Franz has a secret, that's the other reason I decided to kill him. A secret not even you know. I know it though, because my brethern were some of the first tested on. Before you joined, Dr. Astrid, or Ashe even...
"You're losing this battle Azriel, and you don't even realize it." He stopped talking, maybe she would respond, maybe she wouldn't if she hung up, he would do so likewise. About now a set of police cars were rolling up. They were communicating with each other about having to come all the way out here to check up on one of the most powerful companies in the world. They mumbled, grumbled, and many other things. Only the first unit would get out and prepare themselves to head toward the door. It had been a boring day...just another boring thing to do...
Franz listened as the fire worked quickly on the fuel it had been given. He then turned from the window looking at the smoke. It was rising slowly, but dissapating. So, as if in answer to this, he dumped a large amount of papers into the wastebin to be burned. This added greatly. He watched as the smoke curled higher. At this he turned and walked back to the window, his hands on the weapons at his sides. The revolver, and the sword. He sighed softly. It was an arabian sword. His place of origin, well that's what he told everyone at least. His eyes closed as he waited for the sprinklers to go off...as well as the alarm for the fire department. It would all end here...he knew it. There was no denying that. Since he was an efreeti, he could see it, and it almost, lightened his mood...

Kort smiled and slid his way back to the front. "Good work, comrades! Lovely job indeed!" With a hop over the somewhat innate bodies, he walked off, once again leading the way. Unharmed and not the least bit strained, the elf was a picture of healthy micheviousness.
Unfortunately, he hadn't noticed that the other man in the beginning was getting up once more. The bullet that wizzed past his lovely hair tuned him in though. A yelp and another hop led Kort next to the advancing man. This wasn't good, the speedster wasn't a fighter. But he had fast reflexes and that had saved him more than his share of times.
Dropping quickly, Z'Kort swung out a foot and tripped up the poor guard then before he could get up again, ran around the corner to the next side where the stairs were. He stood there and peeked around the wall, knowing full well the others would do something to dispatch the man.

By the time Kort had gotten around the wall, Arkus was right behind the man. Seeing Arkus' looming shadow behind him, the man turned quickly and snagged his walkie-talkie from his belt. He shouted into it. "I need backup, quick! I need back-agh!"
He was cut off by Arkus hurling him across the hall, slamming him into the plaster wall. He would be out for some time, leaving a bit of a crater like that.
Arkus dusted his hands off and continued down the path. "We must hurry." He said. "Their backup will be here soon, I'll bet..." He snorted, continuing down the hall towards where Kort was.
(Argh. Crappy. Sorry if I wasn't supposed to do that...)

Dusting herself off, the drow gave the graze wound on her arm a smirk..
'Close call that one was..' Zani thought to herself as she followed the others. But solemn tones quickly found their way onto the dark face at the mention of back-up.
"Well, what are we standing around here for? Lets go! Lead the way Kort.." Once again taking up leadership she bolted down the hall after the elf. Four, unsuspecting guards was one thing, a whole squadron of enemies lying in wait was another matter. Motioning the others to follow her boots hit the linoleum floor, making hardly a sound though Arkus would be sure to destroy any attempt at secrecy for them.
Zaniah pulled a skid around the corner while grabbing the surface elf, still huddling behind it before giving him an 'encouraging' push forwards. "Quick now cousin, or we'll find the taste of lead more bitter than we imagined."
