"Tristeza?" Erin asked her mind distracted again by the ship, "Oh no, the city holds little value for my current plans. Though there are always opportunities for such plans to grow." Looking back at the captain she smiled slightly, a small light of joy flickering in her eyes. "No my desire to travel there with you rests solely with my intrigue with this beautiful vessel. I want to spend as much time with her as I can before I must part ways."

"Although yes," she added, "My trip to Riechburg is important. But between waiting for you here, or finding different trasportation, I would much rather go and get to know your fine ship better. Have you named her yet? Also what is your name? I've yet to catch it." She could without much trouble find this information out from loose thoughts passing by, but most people reacted badly if yoiu knew such information before they'd had the opportunity and courtesy to introduce themselves.

"My name? Gustav, Gustav Sedriech. I was born in Karstaat but moved here to Sanctus with my mother when I was a child."

Gesturing towards the steamplane, he suddenly developed an awkward look on his face. "I... I hadn't really given thought to giving it a name, to be honest. Maybe I'll think of one in the coming days. And to learn that there needs to be no worrying about you catching the plane in time relieves me greatly. I'm sure it'd harm my reputation if I left a passenger behind in a different country. I'd be glad to take you aboard Ms. er.. Fen, was it?"

Looking around for Kit, he motioned for her to come closer. "Ah Kit, maybe you could show this lady around the plane? She seems to quite admire it.", he asked, smiling.

Erin looked at the captain again and nodded, "Yes, but Erin will be fine Mr. Sedriech." Erin talked a little quieter now, to the ship herself, "For now I'll call you the Angel of Flight."

"I've been looking forward to traveling in your aircraft for a few days now Mr. Sedriech. Thank you for allowing me passage." Erin glanced at the setting sun now, but her eyes hardened suddenly as she focused on something sitting on a far off building, and her grip on the case tightened reflexivly. It looked like a mechanical man to her eyes, but it was too far away to be sure.
"Seeing as it's getting late," She tried to say nonchalantly, "would you be willing to show me around your fine craft? And could I begin staying in my quarters tonight?"

"Ah. That's the thing with these planes. There are a great deal things unlike the floating airships that preceded it, and passenger quarters is one of them." Stepping into the craft, he motioned Erin to follow him.

Behind him was the cockpit, and in front of Gustav and Erin was a small area with several rows of seats, a clear area cutting a path through the centre towards a bulkhead wall and a mass of cargo netting. "Since it's a lot faster than the airships, the designers saw no need to have individual passenger quarters, and instead theres a seating section, as you can see. It's quite pleasant, and the seats even recline backwards, if you do want to sleep. Of course, there is the crew bunks behind us, but they're very cramped. I am, however afraid there are no other amenities, such as a water closet. Any business you need to do concerning those, ah, facilities, need to be done before you board."

Leading Erin back out onto the pad, he motioned towards the low building on the otherside of the pad. "As for sleeping quarters, you're welcome to use the camp-bed in the workshop. I'm afraid that's all I can provide you with, unless you can find somewhere else for the night?"

Kit was about to say that she had to much work to do if she was to have this ship flying within thirty six hours but the captain had walked off. She sighed and made her way back down into the engine room. It took her a good chunk of time to clean up the room, before she was able to take a few wrenches and make her way though the ship looking for anything that might need fixing. She tightened a few pipes and found her way to her own sleeping quarters, a narrow room, with one twin bed, a dresser, and a little bedside table. It was cozy, and had a window of it's own. She dumped her bag off in the room and unpacked, before going back out into the ship, headed for the cockpit to make sure everything was working there as well. Her stockinged feet made little noise on the grated floor.

On her way to the cockpit Kit encountered the Captain and his guest. "Pardon." She muttered as she passed. She wondered what the woman's intent was but didn't say anything, it was none of her business really. In the c**k pit Kit started her tinkering right away, unscrewing the leaver board so that she could get to the inner workings.

((Hm. Little question to you both, should there be sleeping quarters on the steamplane or not? I was thinking more in line with the layout of current commercial airplanes, with reclining seats etc.))

(Hmm. Alright then, we'll have a small area between the passenger seating and cockpit for crew members, so a small washroom and bunks. Please update your posts to reflect this biggrin ))

((I'd been imagining something closer to Serenity myself, but I don't want my assumptions to override what you want the Faulk to be Parting. She's your plane, and therefore she's built however you want her to be built. I can RP around any design you want to have, just let me know.))

Erin nodded as Gustav led her around the ship. It seemed that, unlike other earlier airships that were built for the journey, this new ship was built for the destination. It was a subtle shift in the... feel of the vessel, Erin supposed, as compared to previous airships. The rows of seats for instance, obviously not ment to be occupied for more than a few hours at a time, got Erin thinking of zealous buisnessmen eager to reach their destination. While previous models of aircraft with more individual quarters were often the temorary home of people who enjoyed the journey as well as the expectation of going to a new place. While Erin was more the type to travel simply for the joy of the journey she understood that the world was changing everyday, and most people needed to move faster to keep up with the demands of new markets and technologies. It's a brand new world everyday, her father would have said, embrace the new one or you may get stuck in yesterdays'.

"I am, however afraid there are no other amenities," Mr Sedriech was saying as they walked along the seating area. "Any buisness you need to do concerning those will need to be done before you board." Erin nodded as this fit with the ideas she'd been having about the ship; destination over journey.

Suddenly the other lady from the landing pad came rushing toward them heading to the cockpit. Erin assumed this must be Kit, the one Gustav had talked to about showing Erin around, but at that point, like now, Kit seemed to be very aggitated about something. Supposing she must be the ships mechanic, by the amount of dirt and grime on her, Erin moved asside to let her pass easily. But as Kit passed, Erin noticed that she gave her a quick look-over, like Kit was sizing her up. Erin held her gaze steady until Kit had moved into the cockpit.

As they walked out onto the landing pad again she looked around, but saw no sign of the strange thing she had seen on the roof top earlier. She also notinced that the sun had set behind the buildings around them. Gustav continued talking again. "You're welcome to use the camp-bed in the workshop. I'm afraid that's all I can provide you with, unless you can find somewhere else for the night?" Looking at the workshop Erin saw little that would be comfortable, but she had slept in worse hotels, and they even charged an arm and a leg to desperate tenants. Lost in her thoughts Erin inquired, "What about you Mr. Sedriech? Where will you be sleeping?"

What she had asked suddenly registered in her mind and she quickly amended, "I'm sorry Mr. Sedreich, please don't think me so blunt and forward as that. I simply ment to ask if you are staying off the ship as well. I can hardly imagine you, as the captain, wanting to spend much time away from your Angel."
