Carlos lounged beside him. He shifted, gently pressing his shoulder against Jamie's. Not too much, just enough to touch. He wanted to touch.

Jaime shifted away. He was uncomfortable with touching and, frankly, a bit unnerved. Did he have some sort of stalker now?

He didn't move against him again. The man was confused. He wanted to touch, to see, to tell himself that Jameson was real. To touch, to hold, to-
To stop thinking like that. Carlos looked out the window and sighed.

Jaime hooked Carlos' arm around his when their stop came, hoping he would take the hint and lead him off. The stop was just outside of the woods and lead to a condo on the left, which Jaime began to head for. As soon as the bus was gone, though, he turned and began through the woods.
"I'm not certain how long it will take to get there. I can usually take a much faster route." He removed his disguise, save the glasses (for he still couldn't see quite well) and tucked the teeth caps in his jacket.

Carlos nodded and followed him through the woods.
"Sorry you can't take your normal route."

Jaime just kept on walking.
"It is a simple matter, really. You cannot do what I can do, and leaving you behind would defeat my purpose."

Carlos sighed and followed, hands in his pockets.
"What all can you do?"

Jaime looked up, leaped into the upper branches of a tree, shrieked very inhumanly down at Carlos, and then downed the tree as he leaped off and to the ground. He brushed himself off and continued walking.
"My home is unfortunately much less spectacular."

The home they came to was a simple 2-story Victorian house with peeling roof shingles and no windows (although the opaque curtains helped that fact). It was painted grey and was definitely a good, ripe old age.
"It is not quite made for mortals."

"It is. I still get electricity, and imagine I haven't paid a dime," Jaime smiled, leading Carlos up the steps. The smell of rot was everywhere. ...well, no. Just right here.
"Why are you here?"
Bas looked up from the rug he had been napping on.
"Rained. Tunnels flooded, man-tunnels filled with stink."
"Alright."
Jaime just stepped over him.

"Hello~"
He looked quite happy. In a house with a vampire and a ghoul, and the little mortal was happy as could be!
