dragonflyfae Angela Celeste Some shows I can think of that are steampunk-ish would be, Golden Compass (if I recall correctly, the movie had a steam punk feel.) Um...Howl's Moving Castle was slightly steam punk. Think....airships, huge submarines, lots of brass fixtures and gears and lots of crazy, steam powered inventions...all set in the victorian era. Think, Jules Verne. To a certain degree, the re-make of Wild West with Will Smith was steampunk. (Large steam-powered spider, anyone?) Some episodes of Doctor Who can even be classified as steam. However, steampunk isn't set to just the Victorian Era. XD I hear that a lot, but to be honest, I believe one can set steampunk anywhere between the first Industrialization of Europe to probably about the 1940s. I really super want to do 1920s era steampunk, for sure. However, most people find the Victorian Era the most interesting, even outside of steampunk. True, true. I have a high fantasy story that is steampunk--definitely not victorian. But stereotypical steampunk is usually victorianesque. And I agree, I think most people find that era more interesting so I usually describe it that way because that, to me, is the core of steampunk and then everything else branches off of it. I even have a story I've dubbed 'cybersteam' because it combines elements of cyberpunk and steampunk. Which makes it sort of bizarre...but amusing. ^^ I've given up telling people to think Jules Verne. Too many times, they don't know who he is. gonk 1920's steampunk...hm.....industrialized flappers. XD Sounds fun.

XD Sounds fun. I'm actually in a cyberpunk/steampunk RPG. XD The combination thereof is very bizarre, so I can imagine it is in your story. gonk It's a shame that people don't realize who Jules Verne is, since he's a cornerstone of steam. Doesn't it? :3

With all of the new I AM items in this latest box they present sooo many options for a theme party! We really need to doone soon, I don't know why we put them off till May, but at this point it's kinda late to do an April one anyway!

Ooh! So many good choices. ^_^ I voted Sushi, because I'd love to run around as a lump of Wasabi kicking @$$.... But I really wouldn't be at all upset at any of the other choices. Hehehe. I voted sushi because we can BE fish as well can't we? There are several nice tails to wear, mermaids, shark, lionfish etc. Do you think this would work with the sushi? Not everyone has that item, but it is easy to get a tail lol.

For all those who attend the Pirate Party...
I'm giving out a gift of sorts, just as a little bonus (So be sure to check in with elf or others that are keeping lists of who attends).
What I'm offering is a mini shop goodie. It isn't anything custom, but I think it'd still be something fun to give out. Shortly in this post, I'll list two mini shops that I will be purchasing your goodies from. Once the party is over, I'll send those who attended a PM asking what item they'd like from the shops listed. There are a few limits, however, but they won't be too harsh. Now, on to the shops!
I'm not sure if anyone has ran into these shops, but they offer cute items that you can add to signatures, posts, and other things (You have to read what each shop allows, since some are strict as to where their goods can appear)
From Moonie's Bake Shop: I'm offering to buy either one Bakery good item or one Special bakery good (excluding Retired Limiteds) per person.

From the Yum Yum shop: I'm offering to buy either one Unlimited or one Limited goodie per person.
If you have any questions as to if an item you like is being offered to you as my gift, feel free to send me a PM. I'll reply as soon as I am able.
After I get who wants what from where situated, I will send the orders in. Depending on how many other orders they have to go through, it might take up to a week at the most to get your item send to you. This will be done through a PM, usually with the shop's name in the title, so make sure that your PMs are public during that week until your item is sent.
