"I see. Well, that would be that, I suppose. Probably for the better if people found out what Latera holds on one of its islands." He shifted uncomfortably in his chair.
"I'm sorry about Kaiser. Believe me, I am." he said bluntly. He shook his head at what could have happened if Auren didn't decide to check up on him. Poor Oriana would've been traumatized at best, Damir possibly injured or worse... and Kaiser still around god knows about to do what.
"It was probably for the best that I killed him. Again, I'm sorry for doing it."

"You keep saying it was for the best, but you apologize for it. I forgive you, and my father was more shocked then sad... Are you trying to gain forgiveness from yourself for killing your friend?" she sighed and turned around to face him, "I'm sorry for your losses, and... I didn't know Kaiser... And you knew him well, so if you did what you did to a man who is your friend, then i'm sure it was the only way out." She walked over to the table and sat in the chair next to Auren; unsure of what kind of comfort her presence could possibly bring him, but happy she was there for him.

Auren sighed, frustrated. "Perhaps it is Kaiser that I'm seeking forgiveness from. Well, from a few others too, I suppose. I can never forgive myself for things that I've done I suppose in the name of survival."
The Guild Master shrugged. "What's done is done. You nor I can change that fact. In the mean time , we have the future to look forward to." he glanced at her casually. "I need to know your decision as soon as possible."

"This is more about your protection, your Highness. If I really wanted to know your situation, I'd send more people. As it stands, I still don't know anything. There is absolutely no reason why I cannot simply take Kaiser's name in honor of him and to hold up the charade, I suppose."

She closed her eyes and sighed, "Would you like his room, or a different one?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Damir sat in Oriana's chair staring out the window, and drinking his Brandy thinking about how wonderful it would be if Oriana accepted his offer. sure he might have to pay a hefty fee, but it could possibly all come back around in the end. If she fell in love with him; One, He wouldn't have to lose sleep over worrying about her. Two, He could be sure that someone was watching over the political issues. and three, His daughter would finally find love, well eventually... wouldn't want to rush things. Nine months is a long time... Long enough for a child to grow in it's mother's womb. Enough about all this, he thought to himself as he poured another glass of brandy, it won't happen for a while anyways. he flopped back in the large leather chair and closed his eyes.

"It doesn't matter to me. I only require two hours of sleep total really, and I can catch that in half hour catnaps. Don't worry about me if I don't eat for days at a time. Don't require it and I wind up feeling bloated after a while." Auren said, nodding to himself. "If you will excuse me, your Highness, I have a few other arrangements to make."
Auren slipped out of the kitchen quietly and pulled out a crystal, imprinting a message into it and crushing it. It would send this message to the Moonlight Organization's Manor, where it would be inscribed on a parchment, relaying his orders and message.
Satisfied with the message and orders sent, he returned to the kitchen. "Do we want to keep this charade up, or tell your Mother and sister the truth?"

Oriana looked up from the table , "It's up to you whether you want to be my suitor or not. They're going to know you're not Kaiser. you don't exactly have long white hair and cat ears..." she stood up and walked to the kitchen door, "My father will probably introduce you as my bodyguard; unless you'd rather him introduce you as something else. Anyways. I'm going upstairs to tell my father of my decision." she walked out into the hall and up the stairs to her study. (-_- gotta go get ready for work... if you really want me to rp her telling her father i can when i get home, but otherwise... just post...)

Auren nodded "Good point, hadn't thought of that."
They needed a plan. Auren guessed that he was going to be introduced as a bodyguard and who knows whatever else. In the mean time, he had to figure out what they were going to do.
The Guild Master figured that they were going to deal with the scientist in question the next morning. He shook his head. Kaiser had really messed things up.
Not his fault though. Far from it.

Kalas looked at the ice ladder. "Guen is this a sick joke?" While Kalas anatomy was superior to homo sapiens, the thought of herself climbing a ladder would have been embarrassing because her legs did not work the same way. Kalas jumped out of the ice walls and landed in the middle of the group of guards. She summoned her staff and did a quick swipe at their feet make them fall to the ground. After she climbed back on the roofs opposite of Guen.

Guen blushed and looked at Kalas, "No, It was no joke... though it should have been!" she grinned and jumped over to where Kalas stood, "I never knew my people were so rude... I'm sorry." she put out her hand and smiled, "Well, as long as we stick together, I can guarantee no one will come after you."

Oriana came down to the kitchen with her crown on and a smile on her face, "My father is sleeping now, but he would like to know by when you would like your first payment, and how he should pay it. He said he'll take his answer in the morning." she walked to the table and grabbed her tea glass. After dumping the watered down tea she refilled it with water, "I shall also be retiring for the night, but before i go... Did you pick a room?"

"Don't need a room. I'll keep watch through the night. Five minute catnaps would be all I need." Auren said while standing up.
Auren followed her to her room, leaned against the wall and closed his eyes. This would be the first cat nap for the night. After that, he would extend his senses to the entire house. Huscarl were protectors first, destroyers second.

Oriana went into her room and sealed the door shut with ice. When she was sure that the room was completely sealed off, she began undressing and mocking what Auren said, "I dont need a room... Bah! Where are you going to take your personal breaks... In my fricken kitchen?" she slipped out of her dress and grabbed a book off her little bookshelf next to her bed, "Men. What do you see in them Hali?" She sprawled out on her bed in a corset top and undies to read a bit of her book before going to bed, but soon just skipped to going to bed since she couldn't concentrate on what she was reading because of her father's snoring.

Auren smiled lightly at her father's snoring, wondered why Oriana sealed her room with ice, the animals were sleeping... All was quiet.
Auren took on an old guard's habit. He took a measured pace up and down the hall. Each bootstep echoing lightly through the house. It was then he noticed that the Bear was awake.
"...Why do I feel like I'm walking into a bear trap?" Auren muttered as he paced closer to Oriana's door.
