Rosie turned her attention back to her gun, and she looked around for the the part she had to press. Once she found it, she pressed down, and watched the small bullet fall out of the gun and bounce onto the table again. She smiled a bit to her self and picked the bullet back up, placing it right back into its slot.

"Very good," Joker said encouragingly, "Now, push the revolver back into place, but be careful that the round is NOT lined up with the barrel. Instead, make it one slot to the left."

Rosie went to push it back into place, but stopped and took another look at the bullet. She paused a moment, like she was trying to decide if that would be the wrong slot or not. A second later, she pressed the end of the shaft to release the bullet again. She picked it back up, and placed it into the slot next to the one she had it in. With that, she snapped the gun back into place.

"Very good!" the clown said, "Just so you know, for next time, the revolver spins freely when it's out, so all you really had to do was turn it until it was in the right place. Nonetheless, you're off to a great start!" He stepped away from Rosie, and stood hear the wall, opposite a mannequin that was against the far wall. "Now comes the fun part: shooting something. Don't have your finger on the trigger as you come here, no need for you to shoot either of us in the foot."

Rosie's smile grew with the praise. She watched Joker move away from the table, then over at the manikin across from him. Her smile turned rather nervous as she slid out of the chair and moved towards Joker...careful to keep the barrel aimed at the floor and her fingers on the handle only. "Is this gun very loud?" she asked as she stopped in front of him.

"I'm not going to lie to you, kiddo," Joker said, a sympathetic look on his face. "Yes, it's loud. It's pretty loud, indeed. Here, let me have the gun for a moment." He held out his hand.

Rosie glanced down at the gun a moment, then handed it up towards him with the barrel pointed at the wall.

Joker took the gun, relesed the revolver, gave it a good spin russian roulette-style, and with a flick of his wrist, snapped the revolver back in place. "There, now you won't know when it's coming. This'll help you develop proper recoil recovery. You don't tense up before you fire. Keep your arm mostly limp. Let the wrist and elbow bend from the recoil." He handed the pistol back to her.

Rosie took the gun, and looked at it with the nervous little smile again. There was still a smile nonetheless, so it wasn't like she was scared of it. Not right now anyway.

Joker knelt down behind her, seemingly oblivious to her nervousness, and said, "Now, I know that I hold my guns with one hand, but my hands are a lot larger than yours, and I have much more experience. Therefore, I want you to use two." He pulled out one of his revolvers and held it right-handed, with his left hand supporting it. "Like this. ...Wait, you're a rightie, right?" He asked a slightly confused look on his face.

Rosie looked down at her own hands a moment, a little confused herself. "Um...yeah, I think so." she replied after a seconds hesitation. She then glanced back at the way Joker was holding the gun, and adjusted her hold on the gun to match his. Then she brought her left hand up to mimic his as well.

"Excellent,' Joker said happily, "The grip doesn't matter as much with revolvers as they do with semi-automatics, but a completely wrong grip will make the gun either jump out of your hand, allow the recoil to send the gun, and your arm, stright into your face, or both. Semi-autos also have the danger of the slide coming back and slicing your hand open if your grip is careless, and it simply wouldn't do to have to keep replacing gloves all the time from that. Anyways..." Joker then knelt behind her and, after making sure he wasn't wearing his joy buzzer, placed his right hand over hers. "I want you to aim at the mannequin over there. Don't worry about trying to fire, that'll come later. Just aim for now."

Rosie looked down at the gun, then up at the mannequin Joker had indicated. She held the gun up so that she could see over the top of it to try and line it up. Try to anyway. She could feel her hands shaking just a bit, so she had a feeling she was going to have a time trying to keep her hands still. // ^_^ //

"It's okay, doll," Joker said reassuringly, "Calm down. I'm not going to ask you to fire until you're comfortable. Just worry about getting a good bead on the dummy." For a second, he wished he'd grabbed Scarface from Wesker's dead body when he shot him. However, that was only momentary, and he was back on topic quickly. "Just aim. Don't be scared. It's not aimed at you, so it can't hurt you. Revolvers don't misfire like that."

Rosie turned her head to glance back at him a moment, then turned her head back towards the target. She waited another moment, then took a deep breath and let it out slowly. She tried not to look at the gun as much as keep the tip of it lined up with the target. After a moment she could feel her arms relax enough that her hands stopped trembling.
