Attimasc stood and shook his head, "No, thank you," he turned to Caroline and pulled a small gold coin from his pocket, tossing it onto the counter he said, "Here, I hope this will cover my tab," he went to the door and paused, "Oh, if anyone wants to find me, tell them to go to the place where we first met. They'll know what it means," he opened the door and started to leave, "'Til then, I walk alone,"

Shadow smiled and gave a little bow before following Kaminari. "Of course I'll tell you about Vladimir. All you had to do is ask." Shadow nodded to Christopher as she passed him, then saluted Jesabell at the main bar as she walked out the door. Jesabell smiled and went back to work. A few of the male customers turned to follow Shadow with their eyes, but most were too drunk to care. Shadow casually looked around and saw that there were to Reapers in close range. Very lucky. "Well, let's go. And remember. Look casual. Stay cool. Act like you belong." Shadow took a deep breath and began. "I don't know much of Vlad's life before he came to Magnolia, but I know of his life here. When Vlad came here about thirty years ago, he looked terrible. Apparently he had been in America for quite awhile but had been chased out of everywhere else. I remember that first day as if it were yesterday..."
Shadow walked through the woods, eyes closed, fingers drifting outward, touching and killing plants of all kinds. She came upon a large oak tree. Smiling, she ebraced the tree. As she peeled her form away from the tree, it withered and died. A loud crack filled the air as it crashed down onto her. But it went right through her body and Shadow kept walking. That's when she noticed the other presence. "What are you?" he said. Shadow turned and made herself look more fierce. Her short dress clung to her curves and her paper white skin absorbed the sunlight. At almost six foot, Shadow was an extremely scary looking creature. Long arms and legs and a long thin neck. Curves too large for her thin body. Eyes blood red and cold as a glacier. Sharp nails painted with blood. Thin lips concealing a red mouth with teeth sharp as daggers. "What do you want?" Shadow hissed. The man flinched. Shadow's eyes became accustomed to the sunlight and she clearly saw the man. Tall, but a bit shorter than her. Pale as her but solid. Eyes a dark silver. Hair short and black with a whitish silver streak down the front. His suit was torn and tattered. It hung off him in strips. A blood red tie was only half there and hung by only a thread. "Shelter...acceptance..." the man whispered. His eyes met Shadow's and for the first time in her life she felt warm inside instead of icy. "To die." Shadow sucked in a mouthful of air and her form instantly changed. Her limbs became shorter; she now only stood at about five foot. She felt her teeth become less sharp. Her eyes went from a cold red to a hotter red. Her fingernails shrunk and became small squares. The dress lengthened to melt into the ground. Sleeves grew and concealed most of her hands. Her hair went from jagged and black to dark grey and long. Shadow felt herself change and tried to stop it, but couldn't. "Wow," the man said. "You changed." "I...I don't know why...what did you do?" "Isn't it obvious?" a voice said. Shadow froze. The man was not affected. Only she could hear it. "You have lost your cold, black heart, my dear. This man has awakened your emotions with a sentence and a look," the voice said. "And this enrages me. Your heart was stone cold and hard. I loved it that way. I loved you tall and evil. Now you're small and frail. You are no longer beautiful. You should kill him and become pretty for me again." Shadow listened to the voice. The man stared at her. Then she smiled. "Shade I shall do nothing of the sort. In fact, I do believe that I shall owe this boy much for taking away something you love. Now go die or something. I've got a friend to make." Shadow walked towards the boy and ignored the roar of rage that faded as quickly as it came. "What? My name isn't Shade..." the man said. "I know. Just talking to myself." Shadow smiled. "I'm Shadow. You are?..." The man smiled and straightened his posture. "Vladimir at your service, ma'am." "Well, Mr. Vladimir, I'm in your debt. Allow me to repay you a bit." Shadow floated upwards towards Vladimir's face and then placed a kiss upon his lips. While kissing him she felt his fangs. "So you're a vampire," she said. He nodded, unable to speak because of the shock. "Well, then I'd like to welcome you to Magnolia. Some call it Hell, but I call it home." "Well," he said, trying to get his voice back. "I would like to call it home as well." "That sounds splendid."
"After that we became good friends. He developed a huge crush on me, but I never thought of him as any more than a friend. Besides, it's not like we could ever have anything. "I slowly learned of his past. Not much, but some. Apparently Vlady did some bad stuff back in Russia. Stuff he's real sorry about. His life was stolen by an extremely hungry and insane vampire. He too became a bit mad when he learned what he was. Killed some people. Hurt even more. He was quite the terror, or so I've heard. Then he came to his senses and fled Russia. Lived in Europe for a while but then caught a boat to America. He said he lived in the wilderness of Canada for a long time, but grew tired of being alone and decided to try living in a city. Didn't work out in Canada so he tried the United States. Failed terribly for a long time. Worked his way from Washington state down to Texas up to Michigan over to Maine down the coast all the way to Florida then finally he came across Magnolia. He'd been through almost all of the US and had almost given up hope. Terrified people everywhere. Almost got killed a few times. But then the poor sap ended up here. Life's still hell but now he's got friends." Shadow stopped in front of a small house. "This is my place. If you've still got specific questions then you may come in. If you just want some tea then I've got that too. But if we're done here than I shall bid you good night and head to bed. Well, I won't really head to bed. Since I can't sleep...but you get the picture."

Kaminari listened to the story and smiled widely at the end. "Really bad stuff is only a partial, I'm sure. I've made the wrong impression upon him, and I wish to make it up--I might see you later in the night, I might not. Depending how long it takes." She said, waving her fingers slightly, and turning on her heel, her feet stepping carefully, to step only in the moonlight. She stopped for a second and turned slightly back, "And thank you for accepting me; I don't get that a lot. Apprantly, I only want souls." She whispered the last sentance before walking along the road, humming to herself, thinking over how she would do her idea.
At her home, Kaminari stared down at a book, reading the demon language with ease, a small bowl next to the book. She nodded barely, and sprinkled in some white powder, not speaking what it was. Only witches and wizards did such foolish things. She turned and grabbed a small jar and pulled out a ghoulish looking eye, dropping into the book. She grabbed a small bottle, taking a swing up it, before pouring some dark red liquid into it. She stirred the odd mixture with her index and middle finger, humming softly again. She sighed, and looked over to the wall where a thing was propped up, a black cloth covering it. She walked over to it, not caring if her feet made sounds or not (though they didn't with her grace) and she grabbed the sides of the object and set it carefully on the ground, and removed the cloth to show a long mirror. She smiled slightly, and turned to get the potion she made. As she walked over to the mirror, she heard growling coming from it. "I think not!" She snapped. "Only the ones I wish!" She commanded, pouring the potion over the mirror face. As the potion touched the glass, the glass melted to black veins, which broke apart and fell into the mirror. She stared down into the vortex and smiled waryily.

Shadow watched Kaminari go. Checking to make sure that no one was watching, she slipped into her house. Turning on the TV, Shadow settled into a beanbag chair. The room was bare except for the TV, a computer, a stereo and the chair. Shadow was quite content with watching re-runs, so she snuggled deeper into her chair and concentrated on the TV, carefully ignoring the whispers surrounding her.

A young woman walked slowly along the road, her face looking down, and she sighed everynow and then. She was assigned by Mistress Kaminari to bring Vlad to the small cottage; or at least passed the property lines. She looked up, her eye makeup beautiful and complexed. "Mother," she whispered, a long forked tounge escaping her lips, "I will not fail you." she hissed, smirking at a lone figure ahead, her golden eyes glittering with a slight deviousness, her spell already being casted upon the true man within Vlad. Whenever he laid eyes on her, she would change into a illusion of what he wanted in a woman, perfect to himself, luring him to where Mistress Kaminari wanted him.

Vladimir wandered throughout the city, not really paying attention to where he was. Then he ran into something; a dead end. Sighing, he turned around. Maybe he'd go look for one of those boys Shadow was with. Or maybe he'd go back and talk to Caroline. But then he saw a woman. Vladimir gasped in horror, for this was the only woman who had ever stirred his heart more than Shadow did. There was just one problem. This woman had been his lover hundreds of years ago. And he had killed her. "Lilia?" Vladimir gasped. The woman beckoned then playfully skipped away, just as she had so long ago. "LILIA!" Vladimir yelled, chasing the woman. I can't lose her again! I won't!
((sorry for the bad post I had a whole big long story about this all typed up but then gaia automatically logged me out since it took so long to type and I LOST IT ALL. *augh!!!* maybe I'll type the thing again some other time but I don't have time right now and am very mad because that was a great story and took forever. *wah* anywho, who cares about Vlad and his problems anyway. hmm...I'm going to take on Vlad as a character of my own; if you remember I was offering him to others. I'm going to go find him a picture now. *la di da* oh I do like how this plot is developing, by the way. and now to get on with the show!))

Attimasc walked through the dark streets towards the woods and his pond. Today was a good day, on the whole, he thought to himself, Except for the fact that there was a vampire, he sighed, It seems I cannot escape my past, even here. He walked in outward siilence for a while, but looked around when he heard a voice, shouting, a ways away, seeing the vampire from earlier chasing a woman. Attimasc was about to just dismiss it to Vlad being a liar, when he took another look at the woman. The couldn't see her well, but there was something odd about her, he decided, she wasn't running in fear, for one, and there was a certain, unreality about her, the kind that happpens around illusion spells. If that's the kind of spell I think it is, than there isn't any point to going after him he thought, but there could be danger for him, vampires aren't as tough as they like to think they are, he stood there in the dark, debating what to do.
((the same has happenned to me so many times i can't remember how many, what I've found works, is to have 2 tabs open, both on gaia and logged on to the same account, whenever you have a pause in your flow, go to the other window and do something, thus keeping you logged on, copying it before posting keeps you from having to type the whole thing again. By the way, I really like my character, he is the only one of my chars to ever have a complete backstory.))

The odd demon child of Kaminari slowed her skipping pace, and turned to wrap her arms around Vlad. "We're almost there." She said, her forked tongure slipping from her lips again, but it didn't matter, since the vampire was under the illusion spell. Lila, Mistress Kaminari had met Lila, took a liking to her quite quickly; unlike like the other victims. The strange demon turned again, this time, she took a hold of Vlad's hand and swung their arms slightly back and forth. She was careful that she didn't touch the shadows too; she knew about them Shadows and Shadow herself; in her mind, pesty little things. She and Vlad crossed the line to the proprty, and they made their way up the walk-way. She stopped and looked at Vlad. "Wait here." She murmured, walking into the house.
Kaminari stepped out in the same clothes she wore at the bar, only this time there was an air around her of death, blood, and magic. She smiled at Vlad, holding her hand out, "A trick of the mind, my daughter is, but you will meet your true Lila again. As you can meet all of them; but the fact of the matter is, they can't stay for long," She said sadly, her hand held out for Vlad, "Lila herself can stay for two days. The others must go by midnight--my magic is not that strong," Kaminari said, her other hand on the handle to the house, "Ready when you are."

(yeah, I like the way the plot is going too. Now I need to find a way to bring my character into it, lol)(sorry for the crappy post, I really don't have anything better coming to mind right now, besides going to see shadow or attimasc)
Tanis walked up to his front door, considering the day's events well, I know the demon has a thing against dragons for some reason, Tanis thought to himself, and why were the shape shifter and the demon fighting like that, I should've asked before I left

"Lilia?..." Vladimir said, looking more closely at the girl. Then he began to see the demonic features. He took a step back. "Begin what, exactly?" Vlad looked around in confusion. Then he looked at Kaminari. "Look, I don't know what I did to piss you off, but I'm really sorry. And as for people in my past, I don't want to see them again. Ever. Especially Lilia."
Shadow....Shadow......oh Shadow...... Shadow grumbled and turned the TV up louder. Shadow......Shaaadddoooowwwwwww............... Shadow gritted her teeth and stood. She went to a box on the wall and turned the lights up. She began to get a headache, but it helped chase the whispering shadows away. She went back to watch TV. Shadowwwww......... "SHUT UP!" Shadow screamed, throwing the beanbag chair against the wall. Her form changed into an older form of hers; taller and more frightning. The little shadows shrieked and scurried away. Shadow smiled and went back to her television. "Herrinschatten..." Shadow groaned and looked behind her. The silouette of a small girl was stuck to the wall. "Schwarz, what do you want?" "Ach! Herrinschatten hat sich an Schwarz erinnert! Schwarz ist so glücklich dass Herrinschatten, der an Schwarz erinnert wird." "Get on with it, Schwarz, or I swear to God I'll burn a hole through your essence." "Recht weg, Herrinschatten. Schwarz wird an entlang der Nachricht von Schwarz vorbeigehen." "This message had better not be from that b*****d..." "Nein Herrinschatten. Shadow froze. She was old and understood every word of what Schwarz had said, for she spoke German extremely well. A boy. A girl. But not a girl. The boy chased the not-girl. "Schwarz, wo hat das Mädchen Vladimir genommen?" Shadow saw a smile form on Schwarz's empty face. "Zu einem dämonischen Landhaus Herrinschatten. Schwarz denkt nicht, dass Vladimir zurückkommt." "NO!" Shadow roared. Schwarz faded away into the shadows, a rich, sickening giggling filling the air. "Ein Fluch des Hasses auf Schwarz!" When Schwarz heard Shadow's curse, she wailed and dissapeared. Then Shadow, cursing in every language she knew, flew out of the house. She would find Vladimir. And confront the demon that stole him. "You really shouldn't be confronting Time Demons, you know." Shadow snapped. "Will you just shut the ******** up, Shade? I don't give a damn what you say and I just want you to leave me alone! Aren't our brothers enough for you? You rape my daughters and teach your sons to do the same! Why can't you just leave me alone!?!??!?!" "Because you're my Queen, darling. The Shadow Queen. Shadow, you belong with me. Why don't you come home? There are millions like Schwarz who miss you. Your daughters wail your name and your sons yearn for your touch, as do I." Shadow gritted her teeth and kept moving. "Go jerk off, you sorry son of a b***h." "As you wish, my love..."

Coming to a decision, Attimasc began to follow the vampire. As he walked, he talked, talking to the shadows, "Shadow," he said, "I don't know if you can hear me, but if you can, you must be careful, He's been indirectly enchanted, I'm not sure of how exactly, but it is beyond a doubt that he will not believe what you are saying," he stopped talking, and looked around at the shadows, flying on a hunch, he said to them, "I know one of you heard me, now go to her, Schnell! Schnell! Sie dumm Schatten!"

Kaminari smiled, pulling out her small silver watch and pressing the top. Instantly, everything froze. The leaves fluttering across the ground froze in mid air and the fog stopped moving as well. The air stilled as the even the wind slowed to a halt. Then the Demoness narrowed her eyes upon the vampire, him frozen like everyone else (but for her daughter, the demoness who tricked the Vampire. Kaminari turned and walked back into her cottage. She returned, holding the hand of the young woman, who's eyes were brimming with tears. Lilia. Kaminari whispered in her ear and Lilia smiled suddenly. "What'd you say, Mother?" the Demon girl wondered aloud.
"I told her, despite my already low energy, that Vlad could keep her for as long as he wanted. That is...if he wanted her. She knows the rules much as everyone who's damned to Hell. If one person does not want you on Earth, you will go to ashes."
The demon girl smiled, "What's the catch?"
Kaminari smirked, turning and walking back into the cottage with her daughter following, "Young Lilia doesn't have a catch. She is pratically alive again, only she has no human needs to be dealt with. Vlad on the other hand, cannot stop her from feeling."
"Otherwise?"
"She may fall inlove with another." Kaminari said sadly, picking up her watch and closing the door just as she pressed the button again. In Vlad's vision it would seem at Kaminari was there, and Lilia appeared out of no where, and Kaminari disappeared. The Demon Daughter watched lazyily from the window, smiling slightly as her mother sent the other victims into the vortex again, banishing them back to hell.
