He held her tight for a few seconds, seeing the shadows start to shift towards them. "Now's your chance. Go as fast as you can, and try to keep yourself safe. I'll be to busy here to attempt to catch up for awhile." He smiled softly at her before pushing her away lightly. "Go...." "And......stay safe Anna....." He sighed.

Hotaru watched as she ran. "Good...." He turned his attention back to the mass of shifting shadows. "You look like a small army.....or knowing my luck one big nasty...."

As Hotaru spoke, sure enough the shadows starting coming together in one massive form, easily taller than the surrounding buildings.

"Fantastic" Hotaru said with a sigh. Taking a stance he started casting Firaga. Running up after the enemy had finally taken form. "Have some of this!" He thew his punch, connecting and at the same time letting go of the spell, causing a small explosion which knocked him back. "Tch....this is going to be one hell of a brawl...."

He just smirked. "Great....you can do me a favor. I've got a friend that means a lot to me running back to the others. Watch over her." He turned his attention back to the heartless. "I'll be able to buy them enough time to get her, and maybe even get to this thing before it hurts to many people. But only if you get going, now." He cracked a wicked grin, holding the firaga flame. "And I swear, if Anna gets hurt because you just wanted to watch me fight.....and I survive, I'll turn you to ash." He rushed the heartless again, sliding under its massive swing, letting go of the flame right under it.

He flipped over a swing, which still managed to catch his side. "Damn...." He then dashed towards her. "You know, that sounded like a threat....maybe you're working with them...? That would explain why you show up whenever they do..." He sighed. "Look, you can help me, by keeping her safe." He shook his head. "I've already been a little too careless....." He smirked, keeping his side out of her eyesight. "Doubt I'd be able to swing a paper fan with this...." "Anyways, enemy or not, just try to stay out of harms way. I don't know your story, and I really don't think I'll be able to protect you with this one." He tossed his head towards the heartless.

He shook his head. "You....." He walked over to her slowly. "You worked with them......." He shook his head again. "Well, I guess that makes things pretty clear to me...." He was standing right in front of her now. "Of all the things I could do right now...." His voice low, eyes closed. "I don't think you're prepared for this..." He reached out, and hugged her lightly, then stepped back. "Glad you're on my side now." He smirked. "Bet you can answer a quick question for me though." He turned his attention back towards the heartless. "Just why are they after me?"

He laughed, and then winced. "Damn....knowing me it's probably the latter..." He smirked. "That being the case, why not let it finish me off, or do you think there's some chance that I'm actual a key blade wielder....." He smirked. "I find that highly doubtful. Leon always said those chosen are nice, caring and all that noble crap. And that's just not me. Simple as that." He gave a weak shrug.

He shook his head. "No way.....that...." He turned to face the heartless. "I haven't done anything noble or anything like that, and there's no way I......" He stopped himself. ".....jeez....I almost...." He started laughing. "Damn right I'll be stronger than that half pint Sora!" He looked at her over his shoulder. "You gonna heal me, or what? Cause I've got some heartless a** to kick!" His cocky grin was plastered on his face.

He closed his eyes as he nodded. "Just try not to get in my way, yeah?" He opened his eyes, focusing entirely on the enemy before him. "Time to see you turn to ash tiny..." He clenched both hands into fists, crack his knuckles. He started casting firaga as he rushed towards the enemy. "Now you'll see why it's bad for me to decide to go all out." He called back to her.

As he got closer to the heartless, he jumped to avoid it's attack, landing on its arm. Running on it, towards the enemy's head, he lept out of the way from another attack. As he was directly in front of the enemy's face, he smiled. "Sorry, both of you...." He was using his body as the catalyst to hold 6 firaga spells, letting them all burst at free at the same time. Both Hotaru, and the heartless were flung backwards. Hotaru slamming very solidly into the building behind the mystery woman, and the heartless landing only a few feet from where it had been standing moments before.
