{mood=distracted ツ} ♥ Lyrine ☮ {/mood}

User Image Lyrine grinned as Keith noticed her, turning then getting up. His hair stuck up in little blonde tufts, but it looked surprisingly cute. Lyrine knew that was what he did by running his hands through his hair. It was one of his unconscious habits. He’d done it all throughout the day. But Keith looked tired too. ‘Mr Prez needs to know pulling all-nighters is bad for health,’ she thought.”Your welcome,” She replied in response as he took his coffee. Lyrine watched as Keith realized he was still wearing his uniform. He blushed, apparently not knowing that fact. And he mentioned her outfit. Lyrine wasn’t actually feeling cold. She was in a good mood and plenty of high spirits, buzzing with a rush. Of course she didn’t feel cold when she wanted to dance out in the rain. And the croissant she’d eaten had been sugar topped, adding to her high. “Not right now. Besides, you’re room is warmer than mine. Maybe you’re feeling cold ‘cause you’re clothes are wet.” Lyrine suggested. But Keith already knew that. He went to go change into something else in his bathroom. Lyrine glanced at his laptop and a physics assignment was open. She stared at it for a minute; it was Greek to her. Lots of big words and impressive complex explanations. She sighed, wishing she was smart to understand something. ‘But then, if I were so smart, I wouldn’t get to ask him for help.’ Lyrine thought, sitting on Keith’s bed cross-legged. She pulled her backpack off single-handedly and held it on her lap. She still clutched the coffee with her other hand, and now she took a sip of it. Lyrine had dumped plenty of sugar in the cup, and now she felt even more energized and talkative as the flavor hit her tongue. Better enjoy the high while it lasts. Lyrine knew once it was gone, she’d be snoring on her feet. She looked around at his room, eyes not really focusing on anything. Just working on taking in the setting and drinking coffee. He thought his room was messy? Lyrine giggled at what he’d think of hers.

Keith’s bathroom door opened and Lyrine automatically started at the sound. He came out dressed in a wife-beater and sweats, hands deep in his pockets. Had he been working out? Keith looked more muscular then the picture she’d seen of him in the pamphlet. He did that thing again, running his hands through his hair. “OK, um. Actually, I wasn’t sure about some stuff in history. Just a review maybe, if you have time? And for the algebra stuff I don’t know how to do-“ Lyrine realized that she didn’t know what she actually needed help in. They were doing quadratics, so Lyrine figured she’d just ask him about that. She set her mostly empty coffee cup between her legs, balancing it so it didn’t fall. Lyrine pulled her textbook out and blank paper before she let the bag slump on the floor. She flipped through the pages as he faced her. “Ok, this. Quadratic equation and factoring blah blah.” She held the book out to Keith so he could see what the lesson was. She pulled a pencil out and then lifted her coffee cup again, draining it in one gulp. Quickly setting the folder on his bed, she bounced up and chucked her cup in the trash can. Every room had one; at least she’d figured that out. Still feeling hyper, Lyrine returned to her place and picked her folder up, She glanced up at his eyes through those glasses which he’d apparently found, curious suddenly. ”What do you want to be when you’re older? I mean, I see you sitting here, taking every possible challenging class this school offers. You’re not really going to need all of them in whatever job you pick, will you?”

Adam James Kiles is feeling [Uneasy]

Adam stood there for just a second, a bit confused as to what had just happened. "Pay no mind to Farah. I think she's going through some PMS or something of the sort that would make her moody. If you'll excuse me," Tyler said. He had phased back and was chasing after Farah. Adam watched till they were out of sight and turned to look at the pack of huge wolves that now didn’t have a leader. He felt his stomach do a little flip but he knew they were all well “trained” and wouldn’t do anything with out the word of the pack leader. Adam took a step towards Pearll and looked her in the eye ”Is she coming back? Because I can’t be here all night.” Adam did his best to sound more business like than irritated. He knew she couldn’t respond but the question was rhetorical and didn’t expect a response. He stood there for a bit longer then picked up a rock and threw it into the woods. It shot through the air at an incredible speed piercing through trees as if they weren’t there. He watched a few of the wolves as they watched the rock fly through the woods and their eyes widened. They were young and weren’t used to seeing things like this. I’m sure they have never even hunted a vampire. he thought as he threw another rock.

He took a deep breath and even though he had live nearly a century and a half he had grown bored. He turned again to Pearll ”I am leaving. If there is anything wrong I will be at Kiyarah’s, please send one of your pack and tell them to howl.” He said as he walked to the other side of the building. He smiled as he looked up at the sky and saw a small patch of stars through the clouds. Kiyarah if I told you how I felt how would you react? Would you say it is too soon to say those words or would you say it back. Can you break a heart that doesn’t beat? If only I had the answers but this is all new to me. I love you Kiyarah Briarwood. Adam neared her house and jumped into the tree. He could feel a tradition in the works. He laughed internally and slowly slide her window open trying very hard not to disturb her. He took her desk chair and moved it across the room. He sat and watched her as she slept I wonder what she is dreaming about. he thought. It was dark in the room but it might as well have been mid day for Adam his sight wasn’t hindered by the dark. Her beautiful hair was draped all over her pillow and her skin seemed paler in the moonlight. Adam leaned forward putting his head in his hands Absolutely remarkable.

Keith Zachary Reynolds 's current mood : { relaxed }

If Keith wasn't wrong, he could have sworn the girl sitting on his bed was on a sugar rush. Well, he was hoping she wasn't or that would mean that in an hour or so she's be too knocked out and tired to even walk to her own dorm. And he really didn't want to deal with a girl spending the night here. Taking a look at her from the top of his glasses, Keith calculated how much time it would take before she finally knocked out. By adding in an estimated amount of sugar she could have put in her coffee (no one in Oak Point really liked their coffee black), and also the possibility of taking in a snack before coming here, he guessed that an hour or two would be needed before she was no longer in her sugar rush. So he had to hurry with his little tutoring session so that she could go to her dorm before that time. After grabbing his cup of coffee, taking small sips of it, Keith rolled his desk chair over to the side of his bed and glanced at the Algebra book. His eyes skimmed the page for a moment and then a smirk appeared on his lips. "This is easy stuff, Lyrine. Here. I know a short cut, around all this loaded words in this textbook," he said, placing his cup of coffee on the bedside table before getting onto the bed and sitting right beside her. At that moment, their bare arms touched, and Keith could have sworn he had almost experienced a heart attack. But he cleared his throat and acted like nothing had happened.

Just as he was about to teach her the lesson that she was already suppose to know, she asked about his future. Of course, he already had his plan for what he would do after Oak Point. Everythign was all set. Clearing his throat again, as wel as running a hand through his hair, Keith got off of his bed and walked over to his desk. He picked up his laptop and brought it over to the bed. he had been feeling a little anxious that he wasn't working on his physics paper, seeing as he had a lot of other things to do as well. But he didn't start working on it, he didn't feel like going back to his desk to get his notes. Instead, he opened his organizer and started working out his schedule and the important dates involving his position as Class President and Head of Dorms. As he typed away, Keith answered. "I want to follow in my parent's footsteps. They're both very well-paid lawyers and they're both alumni in the best law school. It's...well...I wouldn't say crucial, but I would say it's important that I get into that school. Which is why I'm working so hard here in Oak Point. This school is one way I'm going to get myself discovered, because I'm not really a social person. I'm hoping that with my Advanced Placement classes and my position as Class President and Head of Dorms, I could get a scholarship as well as my acceptance."

His eyes never left the computer screen as he spoke and his fingers across the keyboard. He was very serious about all of this. From the grades, to his rep as Class President and Head of Dorms. When he was half way finished with his schedule, Keith saved and closed his organizer and then turned to look at Lyrine. "Come on. I want to get this math homework done so that we can go on to your history review," he said, closing his laptop and setting it aside. He then picked up the math book and started to explain the steps one by one. He had remembered one time in his life when quadratics had been a difficulty for him. But factoring, it was like riding a bike to him. He explained as slowly and as simply as he could, even though his mind was just thinking that he skip the boring explanation and go straight to the short cut. But he had thought that if one didn't understand the material at first, then shortcuts will lead to the wrong path.

After he finished his explanation, Keith leaned all the way back till he was lying on his bed, his head resting on his pillow. "Man. I haven't tutored anyone since I was a sophomore! I forgot how tiring it could be to my eyes!" he let out, stretching his arms out and then massaging his tired eyes. Taking off his glasses and putting them on his lap, Keith stared up at his ceiling for a bit, his mind whirling with thoughts. And then he sat up, looking at Lyrine even though his astigmatism was making it very difficult for him to see her perfectly. She was a complete blur to his sight. But he did not squint to see her properly. He just looked at her blurry image. "Will you go to the ball with me?" he suddenly asked, not even bothering to stop his words. Lyrine was the first girl that he knew in years at Oak Point that wasn't really of authority. And, well, she was pretty and probably needed a date to the ball, if no one had already asked her. He was perfectly fine with her saying no. Which was why he added quickly, "We can go as friends only, if you want. Seeing as we barely know each other." Now all he had to do was await her response, before they continued on with homework.

I'm in love with what you should be, baby."

Tyler's voice sounded waterlogged and distant. Farah couldn't be sure if it was the rain or her head, which was swimming. Nothing looked right, or even. She was soaked through, and had no idea if she was crying, or breathing, or what her pace was. She didn't feel herself walking, or even moving. Everything seemed distant, including her best friend's hands, now resting on her shoulders.

"Alright so what's the deal? I know you heard some of Pearll's thoughts. And come on, you're getting worked up over Pearll being hurt by Hugo. We all know that he's part vampire, which is still a surprise to me, but come on he can control himself. And Pearll was just protecting our secret. She got hurt for the best," Tyler rationalized.

Farah doubted that she could her the snarl escape her. The feeling of pure failure had swept over her again. She was playing the world's most glorified game of dress up. It was like being little again. She and Tyler would play "puppies," but Farah always insisted that she was the head puppy. She was still just a bossy little girl pretending to be in charge. There was nothing about her that was in control right now. She was enraged, and devastated, and had never felt more let down by her own instincts. Tyler wasn't making it easier by justifying anything.

"Alright so what's the deal? I know you heard some of Pearll's thoughts. And come on, you're getting worked up over Pearll being hurt by Hugo. We all know that he's part vampire, which is still a surprise to me, but come on he can control himself. And Pearll was just protecting our secret. She got hurt for the best," Tyler said, filling the space. It was then that the clouds seemed to clear from his eyes, the light bulb went on, and Farah's blood pressure when higher, if that was even possible anymore. "You know, earlier, when you took in all that was being thought earlier, I couldn't help but take in a small thought that you had involving Hugo and the ball. Is he the date you were talking about earlier in the dorms? You know you can always talk to me. I'm here to listen."

"What ball? What date? Y'know, I really wish they wouldn't schedule events like this. It leaves school security at a huge disadvantage." Farah's voice cracked as she said this. Her heart was aching, and she was sure it was starting to show. She had opened herself up to emotional attachment, and a vampire, all at once... and some how, she didn't anticipate ending up drained.

She leaned into Tyler's neck and whispered"I should have known better. Please, just put me to sleep."

With a heavy sigh, she dragged her tiny, drenched, exhausted body back to her dorm room. She stripped off her sopping clothes, exchanging them for a t-shirt inherited from Ty when he'd first transformed and realized all of his clothes were three sizes too small, and pulled her covers over her head.

Farah had no idea if it was seconds or hours, but once the world went black, she had no desire for it to return.

As Pearll left the library, Hugo took out his Chemistry paper. Referring to his textbook, he managed to complete it. Barely, but he still managed. As he quickly scribbled down the last formula for it, he glanced at his watch. It was close to ten. Keeping his paper into his textbook, he quickly packed up his things and left the library, with a muttered, 'bye to the on-duty librarian. He took a left and went out into the pouring rain. Sheltering his precious homework under his jacket he ran. He took a right turn and he was reaching home. Fumbling with the lock, he let himself in, dripping wet. He went up the stairs to his room. He packed his homework into his bag and stood up. He changed out of his wet clothes into a pair of jeans and an old faded shirt. Hurrying out of his room, he went to check up on his little sister.

Knocking before entering, he smelt the lingering scent of an earlier visitor Kiyarah had. Seems like Adam visited her. He took in the opened window and the shivering while sleeping Kiyarah. Hugo went to close the window and stood before the sleeping Kiyarah. "Yaya. You're sick." He whispered as he pulled the blanket up on the inert body. Finally, he left the room, closing the door silently behind him. He went down the stairs two at a time and stopped in front of the front door when the Chairman called him. "Hey, Dad. I'm just going out for the Patrol. Oh and with Kiyah sick, did you call in reinforcement?" Hugo asked, annonyed that the Chairman caught him, sneaking out. "I did. I asked Adam to take over Kiyah's job for today." Hugo nodded. "Enjoy the Night Patrol." The Chairman added. Yeah, right. You're so right I will. Rolling his eyes, he replied. "Sure I would. Bye dad." He walked out into the pouring rain.

It soaked his dry clothes immediately. He ran towards the forest, knowing full well that he was late. Very late. Sighing, he picked up pace. As he reached the gate, a group of werewolves were already there. They were the younger ones, ones that weren't so experienced. What the hell. Where is Adam, where is Farah, where is Tyler?! He thought, exasperated. He clapped his hands to get the werewolves' attention. "Okay, so I'll need you to patrol the edge of the forest, either outside or inside the school. You can don't listen to me. I don't care either way. I can see that your Alpha and Beta are not here. And I don't know if they're coming or not. So I'm leaving you to your own. Just keep the school safe." He don't care if he got a reply or not. They can't reply anyway. Frowning, he looked towards the gathered group of werewolves for some sign of acknowledgement.

ooc: Sorry, for not posting for so long. FearlessDare too. We're both busy with school. We're fourteen only, you know. BTW, FearlessDare's coming on later, I hope. She's sorta busy with basketball season. She was so excited that Tyler's plays basketball. -roll eyes-

When you have nothing to live for, you simply die.

Pearll is feeling worried.

When I'm feeling worried, it's often a very bad sign. She thought as she heard some chuckles from behind her. I know you can hear but can you just shut it? Or I'll claw you. She thought savagely at her packmates. That was when Farah appeared, soaked, as everyone here is. Pearll waited, quite patiently, though she was just all for jumping up and start running. Shaking her head, she sat down again to await Farah. Once her mind was present, Farah pulled back. From her. Farah! And then she knew what was making Farah so angry, so hurt. Enjoy Asia. Enjoy your privacy. Enjoy the bloodsuckers. Next time say it all before I waste my time phasing. Farah. I'm sorry. I didn't mea-- But it was too late, Farah had already phased back to human. She tried to chase after her, but changed her mind. Now, Farah wouldn't listen to anyone but her best friend, Tyler. Sighing, she turned back to Tyler. Tyler, help. Help me tell Farah that Hugo hurting me is nothing at all. I healed. Please. And tell her that I'm really sorry that I wanted some peace. You know I don't mean that.

Concentrating on Tyler, she missed Adam's question. But she couldn't answer him anyway, so she decided to just ignore him. She could hear murmuring about Farah and her in her head. Shut up. She growled. Surprisingly, everybody quietened. Shows how much she loooovessss him! Tyler thought and most of the boys chuckled. Well, I don't care how much she loves Hugo. All I know is that Farah's my bestest friend and I want her back. Tyler phased, and she felt him fade from her mind. She missed what he said to Adam but suddenly he was talking to her. "fun in Asia. And yes, I do expect you to go to the ball with me. You know you want to," Tyler told her. Shaking her shaggy head in mock anger, she thought, Who the hell said that? But... She did want to go the ball with Tyler. She heard snickers from behind her, she turned and growled at them. She was the only girl amongst all the boys. Sighing, she turned to face the front and sat down. It's gonna be a really long night.

Another voice broke through her train of thoughts. "Is she coming back? Because I can't be here all night." Adam asked. Pearll stood up and shrugged her massive shoulders. She watched as he took a stone and threw it into the woods. Show-off. She scoffed before turning away. But she could hear her pack's thoughts. They're so impressed, they're crazy. She settled down again before Adam talked again. "I am leaving. If there is anything wrong I will be at Kiyarah's, please send one of your pack and tell them to howl." Before Pearll could react, he was gone. Oh, crap. So I've to baby-sit those... babies? What the hell. She thought as she heard an indignant 'Hey.' What? It's damn right the truth.

A familiar scent hit her nose. It's Hugo. Pearll thought, as she heard his light footsteps. He's late. She was annonyed, she had no patience for people who are late. She scowled at him as he approached. "Okay, so I'll need you to patrol the edge of the forest, either outside or inside the school. You can don't listen to me. I don't care either way. I can see that your Alpha and Beta are not here. And I don't know if they're coming or not. So I'm leaving you to your own. Just keep the school safe." Pearll stood up to her maximum height and snapped at him. What the hell do you think we are? We are not dogs you can call back and forth. You want your own guard dogs, go buy your own. She thought. What the right do you have to order us around? She could hear agreement all around her. She settled down. But her bad mood haven't dissipated.

Since Hugo had already gave them the permission to run, Pearll flew away. Since Mister Prefect already asked us to start the patrol, let's just do it. Her bad mood disappeared altogether when she ran and she could feel the wind all around her. The rain still pounded down, but it felt good on her new body. She hadn't run that fast for one whole day, she was feeling quite tired of all the restraints. Sighing happily, she slowed to a stop at a little clearing amongst the tall trees. She sat there for a while, ignoring the voices in her head. The moon glinted down at her, the water on her body reflecting the light; it made her sparkle. I look like a vampire. She smiled at her private joke, before she realized it was not as private as she imagined when she heard some laughter. Opps. So everyone, at your positions yet? She asked. Yup! Was the unison answer. Nodding her approval, she settled down for the night.

ooc: me and Little-Sweet_Misery- wouldn't be up very often. So, I'm really sorry that I didn't post that often. Soonest we can come up is Sunday. So see all of you then.

Suffice it to say, Farah's actions were frightening Tyler. He's not really use to her being this way. Sure she had had her days where she would be all "Kill me now" but those days passed in minutes. Tonight, she was completely out of it and emotionally unstable. As she had rested her head on his shoulder, Tyler held his best friend comfortingly. "Go get some rest," he had whispered back before she pulled away from his embrace. He watched her for a long moment, making sure that she didn't collapse as she headed to the dorms. He was so preoccupied with his best friend's safety that he had not realized that they were so close to the dorms. It was when her dorm light came on did he finally turn and head back to the gates. "I should have known better. Please, just put me to sleep." she had said earlier. Damnit. What's wrong with her? She doesn't tell me things anymore. What happened to telling each other everything. Sure these were most probably girly thoughts, but Tyler couldn't help but have them as he continued with slow steps back to the entrance. It was sort of a force of habit that he worry for Farah. He was even so frightened to leave her at her dorm. But all he knew now was rest was all she needed. She had been complaining to him that she had not had enough sleep for the past three days thanks to Night Patrol. And she had skipped all her classes today. It worried him. It was only when he had basketball practice did he stop thinking about Farah to focus on his team. Now with practice out of the way, Tyler couldn't help but worry about his best friend.

Passing by the Chairman's house, Tyler paused to watch Hugo come out. About time. he thought as he let out a sigh and continued on, following a fair distance away from Hugo. He paused however, when the scent of Adam mixed with Kiyarah filled the air. Turning towards the window near the willow tree, Tyler took another sniff and concluded that the scent, however much the rain had diluted it, was still fresh. Looks like lover boy couldn't get enough of his baby girl. Literally. Dude how old is that guy? Alls I know is, compared to Kiki, she's like a baby to him. he thought with another sigh as he took a few steps back and ran to the tree. He took a great leap, which landed him on the bottom branch. He climbed the tree without struggle until he was at the window. Squiting into the dimness of the room, Tyler saw the silhouette of the vampire. He tapped on the window lightly then slowly and carefully pulled it open enough to pop his head in. "Hey, Kiles. I just saw Hugo leave the house earlier. We better head down to the gate. You can see your sick girlfriend later," he whispered, pausing the last sentence when he heard Kiyarah cough. Boy it sounded bad. Shaking his head, Tyler pulled his head out and left the window open just a crack. He then leapt from the tree branch and took long strides to the entrance gate.

When he finally reached the gate, Hugo had finished giving instructions and the wolves, all of them young, had ran off. He couldn't find Pearll anywhere, which was a sad shame. And after everyone was at there positions, he never got to see her till they came back to the gate. Looks like I got to ask her later. he thought as he walked over to Hugo. Tyler stood beside the prefect, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Hey man, what happened between you and Farah. Besides the fact that she's flipping out that you hurt Pearll earlier. I told her it was no big deal, seeing as it was for a good cause. But my best friend seemed to be taking it a lot harder than needed. Something you or her want to tell me?" he said, taking his hand off the guy's shoulder and digging it deep in his pocket. He really had all night to hear the answer to this. And he had patrol to do. Taking steps towards the forest, Tyler then said, "Tell me the answer to that later. I got work to do. You better do it too. And Kiles is coming soon. He was up in your sister's room." After giving a mock salute, Tyler ran into the forest with inhuman speed.

There was no denying it that Tyler was going to have a crappy time during patrol. His best friend was taking a nap that she needed, but at a time when they needed an Alpha. So that meant that he was in charge in her place. Something he was not really good at if it wasn't a court. After letting out a sigh, Tyler stopped when he was a far distance from the school and stripped out of his sweats. He tied it around his thigh again and then phased into wolf form. There were thoughts that were not his running thorugh his mind. But he was trying to find Pearll's. He would just talk to her if he found her. Her position was usually the hardest. Taking slow steps so that he would concentrate, Tyler looked from side to side, keeping his eyes open for anything that seemed out of place. So far, in the four years he had been at Oak Point, the only mischief he had seen was a few stupid Day Class students that decided it was a good idea to hop over the wall and head to the town. Stupid students, let's just say they ended up feeling rather jumpy after seeing twenty-five or so wolves chasing after them, leading them back to the school. Which then led to the rumors about guard dogs at the school. Tyler remembered how infuriated Farah was when this rumor was the big gossip. He remembered having to restrain her all the time from beating up the nearest person to her, besides him.

Hey Seb! You mind not thinking of those thoughts? I get the shivers everytime I think of Farah as the Ice Queen. She nearly beat the s**t out of me when I mentioned about that stupid rumor! said one of the guys from the basketball team. Tyler stopped and blinked, wondering how much he had thought. But then he chuckled and continued on, apologizing to the others. Pearll! Oh, Pearll! Come out, come out, wherever you are! he said, in a mock stalker tone. A few of the pack shivered, some complaining that it was really creepy. Tyler chuckled again and continued on, wandering the forest while taking in anything that might look suspicious. I know you can hear my thoughts Pearll. And with the pack also listening in, you've got some pressure on you. So what do you say? Go with me to the ball. he said through his thoughts, a smirk on his maw.

Lyrine concentrated on Keith when he read the words in her algebra book then told her this was easy. Not really the words, just the way his lips moved over his teeth. 'Wow, he’s cute. And he may think this is easy, but its pure torture for me.' She thought, holding in a giggle. Keith came to sit beside her, and she looked down at the book still in her hands. But then he went to go get his laptop and check his dates. Lyrine shook her head at his schedule on the laptop; he was busy forever. The calendar lists seemed to stretch endlessly. As Keith told her about his future plans, Lyrine looked up at him. "Cool! So you want to be a lawyer?" Lyrine grinned as he told her. "And, don’t worry, I’ve noticed your social level. I’m positive you can make the scholarship." But then, he probably already knew that. I mean, c’mon. You could see how hard he’s working, and was it actually possible not to get accepted into a school with his stellar?

As he returned to math, Lyrine straightened up, too. Maybe she could actually learn if he was teaching her. So Keith started with the lesson. As soon as he started telling her how to do the math, starting with the basics and working up, Lyrine realized she could forget about actually learning anything. Even though he was a phenomenal teacher because he knew exactly where to emphasize, Lyrine was a horrible learner. Especially at math. She kept sneaking looks up at him, and nodding like she understood what Keith was telling her. 'Right, finding multiples is a piece of cake. Sure I get this stuff.' Plus, she’d started out hyper, and kept bouncing lightly on the bed so Keith wouldn’t get annoyed. Not so hyper anymore. By the time he was done, Lyrine still hadn’t gotten bored of watching the intensity on Keith’s face as he completely laid down the concept for her. And she might actually understand it if she looked at the numbers instead of his eyes. But Lyrine was bored of math. So she was grateful when they finished. She finally put the dreaded textbook away and pulled history out. This one wasn’t as thick, nor as hard.

Keith leaned back on his bed while Lyrine stretched. She thought the sugar rush was dying. Maybe already dead. Who knew? Keith could probably figure the percentages out with his genius IQ. He had his glasses off now, and his eyes were a shockingly beautiful color. Really, what was up with the glasses? He just couldn’t stay in contacts, could he? Those eyes were gorgeous. Lyrine yawned before realizing Keith was observing her. She turned to give him a little smile… just as he asked her to the ball. For a moment, Lyrine was stunned. She hadn’t expected him to ask her to the Ball. Keith was so shy. While Lyrine was thrilled, she was also surprised. Maybe he thought that her silence was her way of denying him. Quickly, he added they could just go as friends. Lyrine recovered from digesting the news before saying, "I’d love to go to the Ball with you! I didn’t have a date, and plus I was kinda hoping you’d ask me… So thanks, too! And we can go however you like." She added, grinning. Inside, her heart was doing a little jig and squealing with joy that he’d asked her. Yeah, that wouldn’t change him into a total talker yet, but it would help. Although the rush was gone, Lyrine felt her good mood coming back. So long as history didn’t completely kill it. Which they had to study next. And knowing Keith, he wouldn’t give it up that easily. If she came for tutoring, Keith would tutor her. Lyrine doubted that with his invitation still ringing in her mind, she’d ever be able to keep her mind on history. But it was worth a try as long as Keith was the one schooling her.

~ Feeling Thoughtful.

Inside the classroom, the teacher wasn’t appreciating the fact that two of her students were bursting in late. Felix cringed internally, thinking of the punishment he’d be given after class. Before the teacher could speak, however, he was already at his desk taking out his books like the good student he was. Eyes were on them. Felix never seemed to mind being an item. He certainly wouldn’t mind that he and Star’s little adventure would be the gossip on the lips of the entire night-class. It was probably a good thing; he knew there’d be guys out for Star. Who could resist her anyway? And the sooner they found out she was taken, the better. If anybody had a problem, they could come directly to Felix and have little chat with him. Felix snorted at the thought: A chat more physical then verbal, obviously. His eyes met Stars as she mouthed "Later." He winked in response and the feeling returned. That really weird one, that made him want to be the pencil in her hand; at least it got to touch her hand. Something was wrong. Different. The other girls hadn’t been like this. They weren’t so deep. Nothing more than tangible, they held no other meaning for Felix other than entertainment and thrills. He hadn’t felt that way about them. To Felix, they’d been toys: pick ‘em, play ‘em, get bored, move on. But looking at Star was so much more… I don’t know. Satisfying. Don’t think I’ll get bored with Star. I don’t want to get bored with her. I just want to be with her. What the Hell’s wrong with me?

He’d never thought much about love. At a point earlier in his life when he’d been young and naïve, he thought maybe his parents loved each other. His dad wasn’t the affectionate type, and his mom showed it differently. It wasn’t public, or his father’s rep would be damaged. Felix knew that having a lover was something he’d been bought up against. There was a difference between flings and commitments. It made you a viable target in the eyes of your enemies. You had a weakness. The one you would protect became your Achilles. But its time to think more from the heart then from the brain. Am I in Europe? Am I being kept on watch? Does the Count know? Does the Count care? Do I? This was confusing. A conversation took to his ears. Leslie and Stars. Felix couldn’t help but want to snicker at the girls wording. Benjie, as in Benjamin? Wasn’t this girl in the least bit updated? Nobody called him that, it was Felix. He much preferred the middle name, which meant happy and lucky. Better then being the ‘right son.’ As if sons fought their fathers wars and made everything right through being sycophantic slaves. Class passed by like a bore. When the bell would ring, Felix and Star would probably be interrogated by the teacher and given detention for being late. Felix took a little time to work out the timing schedule in his head. He was delighted to find that the Ball would still be available for attending. A slow smile spread his face as his eyes restlessly searched Star out again. She looked annoyed at Leslie. Her fangs were showing through her pulled back lips. Felix wanted the feel of them on his own lips again. But it wasn’t happening, so Felix let himself keep her in his peripherals in an amused manner. She was adorable when she was mad. But he knew probably lethal as well.

Keith Zachary Reynolds 's current mood : { happy }

Keith almost beamed with happiness when she said yes. But since he was taught control, and to keep his emotions to a minimum while under pressure or business, Keith didn't. All he did was smile contently and then sit up, putting his glasses back on. "Excellent. Okay, let's get back to your homework so we can both rest," he said, picking up her history book which was lighter than he remembered when he took history in her year. Or maybe it was because the book he was using was too thick for him to remember the meaning of light weight. Shaking his head, he took a look at the lesson she had and then turned to the page of that chapter. Keith winced, he remembered this lesson. It was not his most pleasant of times when he learned it. But either way, Lyrine had asked for his help and he was going to give it to her. At least while she was still awake. He could tell that the sugar rush she was having was wearing off quickly.

It didn't take him that long to explain and review the chapter. Surprisingly it was pretty short. So he had closed the textbook five minutes later and stretched his arms over his head, flexing his muscles a bit to take off the tension. After letting out a yawn, Keith got off his bed and just looked down at Lyrine. "You can do your homework here if you want. Just in case you have an questions you want to ask me. I'll be working on my physics paper the whole time, kay?" he said, taking a long gulp of his coffee. It was already empty, seeing as he had paused a couple times to take a sip of it. After he sighed over his coffee, Keith dumped it into the trash can and then walked over to his desk, grabbing his physics notebook and then some other notebooks just in case he was to finish his paper earlier than he had calculated. Heading back to his bed, because for some reason he found himself feeling more comfortable there than sitting in front of his desk, Ketih dropped his notebooks near his laptop then sat back down.

A couple times while he was typing away on his laptop, Keith would take a side glance at Lyrine. He could really tell that she was getting tired and that the sugar rush she had was going away. This worried him a bit. Usually, when someone had a fading sugar rush, they usually dropped unconscious at the spot. If that were to happen to Lyrine, then that would that if she lost her sugar rush right now, she would---Keith gulped, a lump in his throat. If that were to happen, he would have a girl in his room for the rest of the night. He would carry her to her dorm, if it weren't for the fact that it was raining outside and his glasses would get fogged up. Like hell he was going outside in his contacts. And with a girl in his arms? Completely out of the question. If would for sure look like a bad scene for the Class President. So he had one choice and one choice only. If Lyrine were to grow tired and go unconscious while here, he would just let her sleep. Besides, he was going to be up all night anyway. And if she fell asleep on his bed, he'd move to the desk again. But for now, he had to work on his physics paper before anything else.

Adam James Kiles is feeling [Content]

Adam sat in Kiyarah's room silently as he watched her sleep. Watching as her subtle frame moved up and down with her breathing. He watched as she would toss and turn dreaming of something he would never know. A smile crawled across his face as she rolled over and he was able to gaze at her face while she slept. The light, almost child like, lines of her face gently moving as her dream progressed. Every so often she would cough and it would pierce Adam's heart Why would I be so foolish and leave the window open like that? he thought as he mentally scolded himself. He stood from the chair and walked to her bedside. In her tossing and turning she had managed to swing the covers off, so he lightly replaced them pushing the edges back underneath her. He gave her a light kiss on the forehead and walked back to the chair. As he sat there it gave him time to think What could have caused this sudden storm of emotions. I had never even given her a second glance as I passed her but now... Now it pains me just to be away from her for a hour. But, if I am being honest with myself, I have never been happier. He wrestled with these thoughts for a moment but didn't worry about them too much. These new feelings, however strange, were just what Adam needed.

As he sat there content with never moving from that spot there was tap on the glass. He quickly saw that Tyler was on 'his' branch and was opening the window. Adam want to tell him to shut it but Tyler poked his head in and spoke before Adam could. "Hey, Kiles. I just saw Hugo leave the house earlier. We better head down to the gate. You can see your sick girlfriend later," Just as he was about to finish his sentence Kiyarah coughed. He threw her a worried look but looked back at Tyler and nodded. Tyler lumbered back down the tree after having closed the window so there was nothing but a small crack. Adam walked over to Kiyarah and whispered into her ear "I will be back very soon, love. Dream of nothing but sweet things." With that he opened her window enough for him to climb out, he gently shut it and he ran to the edge of the woods. Adam knew that he would end up being bored again but he was doing this for Kiyarah and it didn't matter what he had planned he would see this through till the end. It didn't take him long till he got to the edge of the woods, he arrived just in time to see Tyler walk out from behind a tree. His wolf for was massive, bigger the a Clydesdale. Adam wandered over to the forests edge to wait as they ran patrol so he could report it to the Chancellor in the morning.

After scaring the curd out of Leslie for her little annoying comment, Star turned back to her text book. Felix's little wink was so sexy. The teacher was keeping her eyes on her, so Star decided to put her effort into looking like she cared. Maybe then she would lay off. At least they wouldn't have to miss the ball. If Star was exempted, she'd through the largest tantrum in the history of Oak Point. That once again had Star thinking of the ball. How should she do her hair? How should she do her make-up? What color would she paint her nails? What color lip-gloss (Star hated lipstick)? And most importantly, what should she wear? Something white. That was for sure. Star looked sexy in white dresses, especially if it was partially transparent. Whatever she wore, Star needed to make sure she was showy, seductive, and the center of attention.

Star was likely the most beautiful female vampire of the Night Class; the 'Glamour Queen'. She knew that, everyone knew that. It was like she had certain expectations. For this ball, to be the center of it all, a grand entrance was required. Last year she'd jumped through a window. Perhaps this year she could jumped off the roof, and have Felix catch her. Now that would be showy. But it might get her in trouble. It would make her the center of bad attention. Ideas weren't getting through to her head, and that was odd. Usually Star's mind was whirling with fanshion antics. What was distracting her? Felix. Duh. He was a good kisser, and a sexy vampire. What was he going to wear? No matter what, he would be the hottest guy there.

So the ball was no problem. Star would figure out something; she always did. And STar looked fabulous in literally anything. She could make glasses and striped sweaters look hot. Entrance... she'd fgure that out later as well. As for her relationship with Felix, would she take it any further? Or was it just a Halloween Ball thing. It wasn't like Star hadn't dumped a guy after the ball before. But Felix wasn't like them, was he? Star hated it when things like this happened. She was supposed to be quick, firm, stubborn and decisive. If she didn't make the decisions, who would? Unholy crud, Damn-nit. The vampire stiffled the urge to say that line out loud. If Felix could make her feel this way, who knows what else he could do to her?

When you have nothing to live for, you simply die.

Pearll wants to have some fun.

Pearll was right at the edge of the forest when she both heard and smelt Tyler's arrival. And something that hurt her nose. Adam. She thought. She heard Tyler talking to Hugo, something about Farah. She's going to the ball with him. She thought, rolling her eyes. Heck, the alpha-to-be's got a date to the ball. Some thought excitedly, wow! Pearll scoffed in disdain. Immature babies. She padded softly deeper into the forest. She felt Tyler phase and then she could feel his presence in her mind. 'Lo. But he wasn't paying attention. She saw from his mind that Farah had gone to bed. And also, she heard him thinking about the incident in which some Day-class students were so silly that they tried to go into town. When the werewolves were chasing them back into the school, they tried to outrun the werewolves. Please, as if they could outrun us. But it was fun, chasing them! Then, there was the really bad rumors about guard dogs spreading like wildfire around the school.

Farah was really bitchy then... I'm still thanking god she didn't try to rip my throat out. Hey Seb! You mind not thinking of those thoughts? I get the shivers everytime I think of Farah as the Ice Queen. She nearly beat the s**t out of me when I mentioned about that stupid rumor! Hah, serves you right. She thought as she giggled insanely. She padded deeper into the forest. Pearll! Oh, Pearll! Come out, come out, wherever you are! Shut up Tyler, you sound like a perverted creep. She thought as she checked for any disturbances. I know you can hear my thoughts Pearll. And with the pack also listening in, you've got some pressure on you. So what do you say? Go with me to the ball. Pearll thought a while through his proposal. Sounds good. I'll go to the ball with you... if you can find me. Without the help of my eyes. She closed her eyes and ran. Not a good idea. She bashed against a tree before she even took her tenth step. She howled in pain. Yeow. She realised that the howl would cause Adam and Hugo to come running into the forest and Tyler to find her. s**t. This sucks. She cut off mid-howl.

Shaking her shaggy head, she tried to think of another way to "play". And to also help explain things to Adam and Hugo when they come running in. See if you can find me without eaveasdropping on my thoughts. She thought to Tyler mischievously, knowing full well that the others could hear her too. She gave some sort of a mental laugh and phased back to human. Dressing quickly, she started out on her two legs instead of four. It made her feel quite uncomfortable. Sitting down to get her bearings, she looked up at the sky. Damn, it's like pouring harder than ever. She thought as she shook her head dejectedly. How the hell am I going to run with mud? She stood up again, walking unsteadily on two feet. She walked to the edge of the forest where Adam and Hugo were. "Hey guys. It's nothing. I was the one who howled just now. I bashed into a tree." She explained. With a grin, she ran back into the forest.

[ Announcement ]

Alright guys and gals.

I received a PM from Little-Sweet_Misery- informing me that she will be on hiatus for a short while due to the fact that she is relocating. Because of this, I'm delaying the ball till she comes back. I'm update you on what will go down. But I advise that you talk to one another to think up a really long plot for the next three day setting till Misery comes back to us.

I'll be doing a time skip tomorrow during the afternoon. So get all your plots over with so that way I can get this night patrol going a little faster so we can go to the next day.

Note ~ Please don't respond to this below. If you have any questions, feel free to pm me.

{mood=exhausted ツ} ♥ Lyrine ☮ {/mood}

User Image
Lyrine nodded at Keith before she tiredly let her head rest down in her hands for a moment. She yawned several times as he went over the history lesson. She nodded with what he said, though. Her head was feeling woozy and thoughts kept running across. He asked me; he likes me; I’m going to the ball with Keith!! When he went to go get his own work, Lyrine turned on her stomach and put the book on Keith’s pillow. “Okay, I’m definitely going to try studying this. Thanks for the help!” She propped herself up on her elbows and looked down at the textbook. Keith came to sit by her, working on his paper. The one with the big words. Lyrine felt too weary to actually name the science as physics. Keith glanced occasionally her way; Lyrine could feel his eyes, but she was seriously sinking too fast to care. Words swam before her eyes. Something about the king and assassination… rival countries? Lyrine let her head drop onto the book, eyelids closing. It wasn’t a very comfortable pillow. It felt hard, and Lyrine was sleepy, so sleepy. She slid and moved entirely sideways until her head found comfort in Keith’s lap. Without caring where she was or who she was with, Lyrine let her mental shield drop. She curled up into fetal and wrapped her arms around her knees, pulling them up. With a last, final yawn, Lyrine was asleep. Her last random thought was exactly that: random. Thank god I don’t snore.

She had thinking about her dress all day so much, that the fabric even found its way into her dreams. Lyrine had finally completed it, and it looked pretty spectacular, too. Yeah, its just a dream, but still! It had the perfect coloring and it was flawless. Lyrine could see herself in the dress, flowing over her like water pored over. It gathered at the bottom like a princess outfit. Lyrine sighed in her sleep. She was at the ball, arms woven with Keith, opening the door. They entered together. Lyrine felt content for the first time in so long at Oak Point. Familiar faces peeked out from the crowd of the Halloween Ball. But they were wearing costumes. It was the Halloween Ball, Lyrine reminded herself. So what if it was also an impromptu costume party? She was the princess and Keith was her Prince Charming. They were perfect for the event. Until someone slipped their mask off. It was her dad… Lyrine frowned. She didn’t realize it, but she was frowning in real life, too, little creases appearing between her eyes. The woman next to Dad took her mask off, too. Her face was instantly and shockingly familiar. Although Lyrine had never seen the face with her own eyes, it was obvious from the pictures that she was her mom. Lyrine had studied her face closely in pictures many times before. She was smiling and her hair looked exactly like Lyrine’s; the same blond curls. With a gasp, Lyrine’s eyes flew open.
