I'm not sure since a few men fit that description, like George, Bill, and Arthur. I don't think Kingsley was temp. Ministe either. It could even be Dumbeldore or Sirius since - while they both did die - it wasn't in the final battle. You'll have to be more specific.
1) She was a Gryffindor Slughorn approved of.
2) She was a redhead almost everyone in school agreed was pretty.
3) She married a Quidditch player with messy black hair.
Oops, it's still a tie between two people, isn't it? You need another clue. Ah, I know! Her brothers promised to send her a toilet seat! rofl

Glad you included that last clue, I wasn't going to put Ginny, but rather Lily, until I saw that. Silly Mia, Lily didn't have brothers!
Ok, how about this:
