✮ Personality Check ✮ ✮ Tempers Have Tantrums Too: xxxxx Goofy, romantic, clumsy, kind
✮ It Takes A Lot To Know A Person: xxxxx Romeo is a hopeless romantic. When he met Juliet, it was love at first sight - even though neither of their families approved. He wasn't afraid to elope and start a family with her, giving his all to support his beloved and their cherished children. His way of speech is somewhat archaic, something that his family line has still held onto. He had a very strict upbringing, and therefore shows extreme chivalry towards all damsels - or at least used to. Since Juliet's disappearance and assumed passing, Romeo has become extremely lonely, quiet and withdrawn, often just sitting by the window for hours on end, gazing into nothingness. He still loves his children - and grandchildren, it just takes a lot more effort to show joy than it used to.✮ History Lesson ✮ ✮ The Good Old Days: xxxxx The Montague family had been grudging against the Capulet house for several generations, and nobody really remembered why, or even cared. It was, ironically enough, quite similar to the setting of a certain famous Shakespeare play.. and even more ironically, having happened to be named Romeo, the boy met a Capulet girl named Juliet.. and the two instantly fell in love. Knowing their parents would not bless their union, the two decided to run away together to avoid the fate of their namesakes. Escape, far away from their families' conflict, in the process combining their family names as a symbol of their desire to end the animosity.
The two were soon blessed with four bowls, which they raised lovingly, teaching them manners and about high culture such as theater. Everything seemed perfect for the little family, until one day, both Juliet and the eldest son, Tybalt, no longer returned from their trip to town. Romeo searched for days without sleeping, but with no trace of the two, was soon forced to give up. The loss of Juliet near crushed him. For the sake of his remaining two daughters and younger son, he did his best to persevere, to remain supportive of them. But heartache weighed heavily on him, no matter what he tried.
At this point, he has given up all hope of his love ever returning, and is resigned to his fate as a widower. News of grandkits have stirred him from his stupor somewhat, and he wishes to shower the little ones with love and affection for Juliet's sake, as well..
