Our rabbits are still a riot. We let ours run around the kjitchen every day. I can't imagine not doing so for Fawn. x-x He starts wanting out as soon as my mom's up in the morning, even though he gets let out at night!
My mom's is such a female all the way - moody and willing to protest and happy so long as her schedule is kept and followed. She also likes to sit at the front of her cage and watch us and the cats in the evening and does this insanely cute thing where she hides behind this blanket hiding off of Fawn's cage and then pushes her way out with her nose.
Fawn, my male, is more outright demanding, more energetic, and more apt to clamber all over you just to get past or see what you're doing. He still does those insane runs where he uses the baby gate blocking the doorway or the back of his cage as a kick-off spot for his hind legs. If I ask for a kiss and lean down, he literally stops what he's doing and stands with his nose up a little so I can kiss it. xd So cute! I've read that rabbits might lick your nose if they like you a lot, so maybe that's what he views it as?
And oy vey, we have more of them! I'm making a general topic on the forum to see if anyone who's had a small pet has some advice, but my mom just took in three recent weanlings from our friend/breeder. They developed eye problems that have never happened to past litters before and require a bit of medical attention. sweatdrop Dear goodness, they're cute, though.

Akari_32 hi everyone! i just go two rabbits yesterday! it makes me soooo happy! but theres one liiiiittle tiny problem-- i have never owned a rabbit-- let alone any kind of rodent-- before. i have done some reserch about how to care for them, what they can and can not eat and some other things. i was wondering if anyone could give me any hints, tips, or need-to-know info. thank u! and i will soon have up pix and maybe a video! Side note - Rabbit is NOT even close to being part of the rodent family. It's a lagomorph. It just get's mistaken for it because it's small and fluffy.

My cousin, we'll call her Bailey, just got her first bunny. From what I can tell, it's a full grown dwarf. They got her from a pet store, and I feel so sorry for that thing =(
I call the bunny Shadow (she's thinking of naming it Mary-Anne....), and I used the entire top of a brochure to right out what to do. Good news, though, was that I got Shadow on some higher quality hay. My two guinea pigs even refused to touch the hay I brought home. Well, what do you expect, it was starter cage hay =/
My notes: OxBow Timothy Hay Somewhere to get her feet off the wire TOYS Salt lick Litterbox (she already goes in one corner..) Free time! NAIL TRIM
There were probably a few others, but those are main. Especially the nail trim. I was putting her back in her cage, she got excited, and scratched me. Bled me 3 times...
Call it a VERY strong feeling, but we're going to have a little midnight black bunny soon enough.... Bailey gets bored VERY easily...

Be very carefull when introducing rabbits to each other. Make sure they are the same gender or fixed. Also make sure they are in a small area that neither has been in before and dont consider thier territory. Also some hay or somthing would be good to help them interact in a friendly way... What i use to get my rabbits feet off the wire are tupperware containers that they can sit in or a box that they can fit in and turn around and get on top of. One of my cages has a huge built in nest box that also works... In my area it is cheeper to go to a feed store and buy hay than to buy it at a pet store. In Petco i could get a 5lb bail of hay for 4 dollars and at the local feed store i got a 50lb bail of hay for 6 dollars!.... Yeah nail trims are a definate need. you can do it yourself if you know how to put a rabbit in a trance... just in case you dont know here it is:
1.Sit down with your legs together at a slight downward angle. 2.Put your rabbit securely in your lap 3.Turn the rabbit over on its back. Its head at your knees. 4.Pet your rabbits head starting near its nose to its ears until it closes its eyes or its head drops.
mrgreen mrgreen mrgreen hope i was some help!

yay i need to get nail clipers for my rabbits but they wont let me hold them very long.... or move while holding them. Betty's getting pretty good at it tho, she let my scratch her tummy twice now. i think its just because she's so laid back tho...? i dunno but it's still cute whee

I had a dwarf bunny called Chance when i was little. I was like 2-4 when we had him,so my sister took care of him. When he died all I did was run around the house screaming "The rabbit is dead! the rabbit is dead!".
He was a cute bunny though. In the summer he stayed outside in a cage my dad built. And in the winter he stayed in the basement. Also in a cage my dad built. When Chance lived outside,he always loved jumping in the pool and swimming.Like,we would have him running around on the deck, then he would decide "Time for swim!" And climb up the steps to the pool, then jump in,all on his own.Well,I don`t really remember this, but my sister told me stories. She said he looked like an otter when he swam.
