Wave, where are you? Wave? Wave, why aren't you responding? Livi blinked and tears dripped slowly down her face. Her guards looked at her strangely. "Leave me alone," she said in a harsh voice. She was amazed Billie hadn't caught her slip earlier - she had called her new friend by her true name instead of the one she wanted to be called! Then she frowned as she thought about what Billie had said. Was it too late to tell Altair to turn around, to forget about getting Billie? No, Livi decided, she still wanted to see Billie. After all, for whatever reason, her new friend had decided not to speak to her anymore, and Livi wanted to know why.

Billie sat up and looked at her instruments, her hand extended a bit towards them, but she brought it back. She didn't even feel like playing her usual instruments, all her music were either attack tunes or happy tunes. She took up a piece of blank sheet music paper and her pencil, she went to the piano next to her bed. She began writing notes on the paper and when she was done, she began playing the piano. For all those who knew her, it would be the first time sad piano music came from her room. It was a light tune, but it held her sadness in it.

Wave? Livi asked, then she thought, Oh, what the heck. BILLIE! Respond, please! Livi glanced warily at her guards, who continued to stare at her. She backed into the corner farthest from them, repeating endlessly, "Get away, get away, get away." Then she recalled what her fellow villains had taught her: a spell that prevented her from being seen, and she began chanting under her breath,"E manu ei treiki, e manu ei trei. E manu ei treiki, e manu ei trei." Suddenly a shimmering, translucent wall popped up between her guards and her, and Livi smiled. All they would see was a cowering figure. Livi looked around for a weapon or method of escape, and she grinned. A small chair was positioned in a corner, and she wandered over to it, testing if it would hold her weight. It did. She looked up at the roof and discovered that a small tile seemed to be sagging. She dragged the chair over to the floor beneath the tile and stood on it, scraping at the tile with her nails. Finally, she formed a hole. Would her powers work in here? She had told Nathan they wouldn't but that was just a guess. She morphed quickly into a small blue jay, pleased that she had been wrong. Livi flew up into the hole and into a narrow passageway, which was just large enough for her to crawl through as a human. Relieved that she didn't have to stay as a bird for long, she morphed out.
What she didn't know was that her E manu wall disappeared when she did, and the guards had instantly sent an alert to Nathan.

Nathan was awakened suddenly by an alarm. He threw back his blankets and his clothes immeadietly appeared on his naked body once again. He ran out of his room. Sunburst was standing there panting. "Magnaman is looking for her. She escaped." Nathan ran down the hall with him and to her cell. She was definantly gone. He smelt the room. She had used majik. Sunburst looked at him curiously. "You can smell the majik?" He asked. Nathan nodded. "You smell that? That weird odd smell? And the smaller scent underneath it? Thats majik. It actually has a sent. And a taste. It's horrific. But, its like it's fingerprint." Nathan looked around the room He saw the tiles. "That's the only way she could have gotten out. Is that where Magna went?" Sunburst shrugged. "I don't know. He told me to run as fast as I could to get you. So, I left. No questions asked. I didn't see where he went." Nathan sighed. "Well, only one way to find her." Nathan jumped to the bed and began climbing into the tight square. Only his arms and head fit. Sunburst scratched his head in confustion. "Uh, Mystic? You're not gonna get anywhere doing that." Nathan turned and smiled at him through the tiles he accidentally popped up trying to get as much in as possible. "Oh, Sunburst. How naive you are!" Nathan then turned into a ferret and scrambled the rest of the way in. Sunburst rose an eyebrow. Nathan began running down the ceiling, sniffing out Olivia.

Livi was making slow progress; the tunnel was far smaller than she thought. Sighing, she changed into a brown recluse spider: fast, easily hidden, and dangerous. She scuttled along the tunnel, slipping into a crack whenever she heard a suspicious noise. Her spider wasn't as efficient as it could be, but she knew what would happen if she tried to morph too much - it would drain her energy, like it had earlier. Suddenly light appeared before her and she flew toward it, jumping out and quickly changing into a villain. She could see Altair slowly walking along ahead, but she could also see guards - did she dare morph again? Yes, there was no other way. Livi paused for a brief moment to look back at where she had come from, and something was squirming out. There was no escape. Nathan could morph, and she was trapped on the land. Altair, help, she told him before sinking to the ground in despair.

Billie stopped playing the piano and just sat there staring at the keys, Nathan was right, she had to stop trusting anyone who needed her help. She couldn't talk to Olivia again, she was a villain and Billie found she couldn't even trust her own powers. She pulled off her glove at looked at the speaker in her hand. She then aimed her hand for a vase that she kept next to her bed, she let out sound waves but they were not the perfect circle waves she usually put out, no, they were waving and almost collapsing on each other. She couldn't lift the stinking vase! She ran her hand through her hair, "This is bad..."

"I surrender," Livi muttered as the guards closed in on her. She looked around and spotted Altair. Goodbye, my friend, she thought to Altair. What they are going to do to me, I do not know. Come no closer - I do not want you to be caught as well. She bared her teeth then. Was it just her, or was Altair's figure creeping closer despite her warning? She snorted and turned away from him - looking straight into Billie's room. She could feel that Billie no longer wanted to be friends, yet she knew what the girl was trying to do. She sent out her most powerful thought yet: BILLIE! I don't think you can lift the vase because of the bubble preventing you from hearing my thoughts. She then crumpled in exhaustion and her eyes did not open for a long time.

Billie's body jolted a bit hearing Livi's voice in her mind. She held her head Olivia...please stop. I can't stand hearing your pain. I...feel like I'm going to explode... she clutched her chest and looked down at the speaker there, it was pulsating. "Oh no..." she looked at her hands and the speakers there were doing the same thing Nathan! I'm going to blow! Get everyone away from here!

Altair, in the midst of all this, was wandering through the halls. He got Livi's messages. My powers? I'm an amped-up version of a regular person: heightened strength, senses, speed, reflexes, and healing. And...no, that's all. He decided not to reveal his real power yet. He heard the guards around the corner and froze. He heard Livi telling him not to come closer, but then he realized that he was so close to Billie's room. Altair figured that he could make it into her room before the guards could react. He rolled across the hall and opened the door. "Billie?" he asked softly. This was just after she had sent the message to Nathan. It was a message that Altair had missed.

Livi lay motionless as the guards closed in on her. If she had heard Billie's warning, if she had seen Altair passing her...perhaps things would have worked out differently. But she hadn't heard Billie, Altair hadn't seen Livi, and things were going to go as planned - in other words, quite bad for Livi.
The guards lifted her limp body and shackled her wrists together, then her ankles. They carried her off to a place she did not know, and left her there to wake up.

Nathan continued his search until he heard Billie's warning. His eyes widened. He ran as fast as his tiny feet would carry him throught the ceiling. He found a bit of light and pushed his body through it and to the hall below. Livi had been detained. Nathan morphed back to his normal self. He looked down the hall. Altair was standing in Billie's doorway. He bolted down the hall and smashed his way through the door. He knelt down next to Billie. "Billie, honey, everything is going to be alright. Don't worry, you're going to be fine." He picked her up and blasted a whole in her window. Ultra Lad heard all the ruckus and can to the room. He stood in the door way. "Nathan-" He began. "Vince. Take care of the Tower while I'm gone. Don't worry, we'll be back shortly." And with that, Nathan flew off with Billie in his arms into the cold dark night. "Don't worry Billie. Everythings fine." She began quaking. Nathan enveloped them in a bubble, much like the one he used on Olivia and Altair. Nathan flew high into the sky. Once he got as high as his ring would take him, he floated in the open air. "Don't worry, Billie. You'll be fine." He let go of her and she drifted off into her own bubble. She was held there in the bubble only a few feet from Nathan. "Don't worry. Everything's gonna be fine."

Billie opened her eyes and looked at Nathan, "Mystic..." she whimpered and her arms crossed over her chest, "I'm sorry, I should have listened to you. I'm confused and its making me upset, when I get upset, my waves back up and build to an explosion. I...I will be okay, but I'm scared. I hate exploding..." she looked at her speakers in her hands and chest, they were pulsing more, "I'll be fine...eventually," she curled herself into a ball with her hands covering over her head, "Stay back...I don't want you to be hurt..."

When Livi woke up, she didn't know where she was or what had happened to her. She strained against the shackles before realizing she had been bound. Sighing, she managed to pull herself into an awkward sitting position, but she was sure not to touch the walls. The cell was smaller than the previous room, dark and bare. Livi tried to make an E manu wall again but failed. She attempted a morph and was unable to. Even her thoughts to others were blocked. Clever, Livi thought to herself. They found out what I can do. "I hate you, Nathan," she muttered. "Don't you worry - though I've never murdered before, don't put it past me."

Poor Altair, being new to the world, had no idea what was going on. He watched as Nathan swept in and took Billie up into the sky with him. After watching helplessly for a few seconds, Altair spun around. Livi? Livi! No response. Either she was knocked out, or...no, he wouldn't think that. He began to run through the building as fast as he could (which was pertty fast), but he could find no sign of her. He sat down against the wall, closing his eyes and sighing.

Livi could sense Altair looking for her but she couldn't hear him and her thoughts wouldn't be able to reach him. If she called out loud she would alert the guards. But perhaps if Altair happened to walk by...then she could call over to him and perhaps he could help her break out.
