Black Cat crossed her arms. "The stone. In your hand. It belongs to me, sweetie, and I'd like it back." Cute kid, really. Kind of ridiculously cute. Too bad that Felicia Hardy had never been very fond of kids. She held her hand out, her expression expectant and not particularly patient.

Rosie glanced at the woman's hand a moment, quickly trying to think of what to do. She moved her free hand and grabbed another stone that she was nearly sitting on. "This?" she asked, holding it out to her. She flet her stomach turn a bit when she took a quick look at what she was holding. A nice bright chunk of red and yellow stone. It would have been alright if the stone was even close to the color green. But if the woman had seen her pick up the green stone, then it was obvious that this wasn't the stone she had. Nevertheless, Rosie dropped it in her hand and looked back up at her as if that was all she had.

Black Cat let out a surprised little chuckle of laughter as she looked from the stone in her hand to the girl's guileless little face. "Cute," she admitted, her eyes sparkling, "But no. The green glowing one in your other hand." She dropped the plain rock back down to the ground. "I won't be asking nicely again."

Rosie lowered her head and glanced at the wall, her lips almost in a pout, knowing there wasn't much she could do. She slowly brought her hands in front of her and held the stone in both hands, looking at it like she didn't want to give it up. "Do I have to? Can't I have a little piece of it? Please?" she asked, then looked back up at her hopefully. "Isn't there more of this kind around here somewhere?"

Black Cat sighed. This was why she didn't like kids. "Yes," she said with patience she didn't feel, "But they're protected by highly advanced security systems that I probably don't have time to hack." She paused. "I'll tell you what. If you give me that stone like a good girl, I'll give you a ride to anywhere in the New York area, courtesy of my new web shooters." She held out her hand once more, a mischievous half-smile on her face. "Do we have a deal?"

Rosie looked back down at the stone with a look of both defeat and dissapointment. There really wasn't much she could do, and she wasn't in the mood to try and argue. Any bit of boastfullness she had been feeling earlier seemed to be gone. Now she was just tired, upset, and really didn't care. Who was she kidding, she probably wasn't going to see Sapphire again anyway. After looking at the stone a moment, she slowly handed the stone over to the woman with her head still down. "Ok..." She really didn't know what web shooters were, nor did she really care about going anywhere. She didn't know of anywhere she wanted to go right now besides home. She didn't even know where that was.

Black Cat pursed her lips. It wasn't as though she felt sorry for the kid, because she didn't, but that expression was pretty pathetic. She quickly took the stone, stored it safely away, and then pulled out her new web shooters. "Seriously, web shooters are way better than some stupid stone." She carefully fitted them onto her wrists, which was more difficult than it looked; Spider-man always made working with these things look so easy. "Riding with someone who travels via webslinging is better than any roller-coaster; take it from someone who knows." She hesitated, and then gracefully knelt down so that the girl could get on her back. I can't believe I'm doing this. Since when have I been a sucker for puppy-dog looks?" Whatever. "Come on," she sighed.

Rosie glanced up at the woman as she put the things on her wrists. She thought for a moment, then her expression picked up just ever so slightly. "Web...? Is that anything like how Mister Spider-Man travels?" she asked, sliding over the table and gently wrapping her arms around the womans neck to get onto her back.

Black Cat smiled, mostly at the 'Mr.' the girl had tacked on in front of Spider-man's name. "Exactly like that." Reaching back, she shot two strands of webbing across the girl's back so that they crossed in the middle, making a kind of make-shift harness; she definitely didn't want the kid falling off. Then she stood, quickly pulled her long, white hair back into a messy ponytail (so that it wouldn't get in the kid's face), and calmly stepped out the nearest window.

Rosie smiled. She still felt dissapointed, but the ride that she had gotten earlier was really fun. Maybe this would be better than that silly ... pretty ... shiny ... stone ... Rosie shook her head and wrapped herself tightly around the woman as they got to the window. The webbing would probably hold her, but just the thought of freefall made her excited.
Magneto tore the hole in the ceiling open furter, he didn't want his new device to be damaged because it couldn't fit throught the opening. With that he levetated himself and the device through the roof and into the air.

Black Cat allowed them to fall for several hundred feet, twisting and flipping in the air as she did so, just enjoying the feel of free-fall. Finally, she a strand of webbing up to the next building and swung off into the concreate jungle.

Rosie smiled and closed her eyes as they fell. Yeah, guess this was better than a stone. She was feeling better all ready.

{Enter from Daily Bugle}
Tony flew into his lab through his own private entrance, and his automated robots immediately began removing his suit. It was so nice to be back in New York; he'd have to check and see if the Avenger's mansion had arrived, yet. He wanted his newer suit back. Speaking of which, if he got his hands on Osborn... Not that he hadn't brought that whole mess on himself, if you really wanted to get technical. Tony personally didn't. He was exhausted, worried about Spider-man, annoyed that he was worried about Spider-man, and regretting shooting a burn victim with a grand total of seven tranquilizer darts; the guy could die, now that Tony was actually thinking about it. And that had been the problem. He'd been too angry to think clearly, and too tired to care. Never a good combination for a superhero.
Finally out of the suit, Tony reactivated the security system and headed off to bed. As he pulled up his blanket, he briefly wondered how Pepper was doing; just as quickly, he kicked the thought out of his head and set his alarm. If left to his own devices, he'd sleep for days. The next second, he was fast asleep.

[ENTER from Daily Bugle]
It was much later. War Machine landed and deactivated the systems as he went to Tony's room. His mask slid open as he reached the door. "Tony?" he called softly. He didn't particularly want to wake him, but he should check on him just to be sure.
