The metal was thin, but strong. It would not break so easily. A'Hallei smiled at the kiss, and quickly setting down the sketchbook, he gingerly lifted the circlet from Makenna's hands and placed it on his head, ajusting it slightly to ensure a perfect fit. A'Hallei smiled, it looked marvelous on Makenna, as he knew it would. He quickly buffed a pauldron to a high shine and presented it so Makenna could see himself, like a mirror.

As for his presents...
"Need frames." He said, not wanting to detain Kenna's sketchbook for any longer than was necessary.

A'Hallei drew Makenna up closer to him, burying his nose in the black hair. He nodded to the question, a trip to the forge was always fun.

His mind was alert. Makenna seemed tired, but A'Hallei was ever vigilant, listening for suspicious sounds, anything that might threaten his Makenna. Long silken hairs draped around them like the sinuous branches of a weeping willow. His vibrant green eyes rested for a moment on the tanned skin of his beloved. Sure Makenna wasn't his complete opposite, but he was gentle, and understanding, and all A'Hallei had in the world. Damn Samsara just wanted to take what he wanted and take what didn't belong to him.

A'Hallei only moved to violence when someone obstructed him, or threatened him in some way.

What would he do if Makenna turned against him?

Suddenly fearful, his eyes flew open and he shifted, watching closer the boy in his arms. What if he was betrayed, what if Makenna left him, or became like Samsara?

No...

Steal curled in closer around Makenna, and those eyes narrowed slightly. He wouldn't let him.

Satisfied by this, a deep rumbling purr vibrated within his chest, showing his contentment.

Makenna was keen, he had to admire that. And he was affectionate, another plus. Watching that adorable face look up at him, with those shining obsidian eyes and the silver circlet...Makenna was gorgeous. A small shiver traced along him at the kiss, and rather than answering the question, A'Hallei bent his head down to lay one right on Makenna's lips.

They had been parted for too long. The reuniting sent showers of sparks of in his body at even so simple an action of a kiss. White lashes lowered over the almost harshly green eyes, as they darkened slightly with emotion. A gauntlet lifted from it's post atop his beloved's leg to cup his face, thumbing his chin lightly. Bliss.

A'Hallei leaned back, stopping when he hit the wall, and smiled into the kiss. A smile was so rare to see on him, his facial expressions were usually limited to neutral, and scowling. Makenna had seen what, neutral, scowling, confused, happiness, and completely and utterly lost in those eyes.

A nice advantage, he'd say. That lazy smile was still on his face when Makenna pulled back to look at him, and their gazes locked. Neon green to coal black, endless abyss to endless abyss.

The second kiss was just as sweet, and A'Hallei's arms wrapped around Makenna's thin frame, hugging the dark boy to him. Oh...
An uncomfortable heat was distracting A'Hallei. It was centered below his naval, right between his hips, an area he'd never paid much thought too, but it certainly was beginnig to awaken now. Fortunately it was protected by his steel codpiece, and so no difference was detected outwardly. Ignoring it, A'Hallei dropped one of his gauntlets to thread his fingers through the lush dark hair.

He had to admire that a lithe body Makenna posesed. Neither too skiny or bulky, Makenna had curves many women would envy, and he had the feeling little mewling creature to himself. A'Hallei wanted to touch Makenna all over, to know him, from the tips of the dark hair, even to the undersides of his feet, the backs of his knees, the tip of his nose...

However he pulled away from Makenna and shifted slightly, lifting an arm to reveal the clasp to his chestplate. His eyes never left Makenna as he silently asked the barrior between them be removed.

The straps popped off under Makenna's hands and the heavy steel chestplate slid from him, revealing the thin silken blue shirt he wore underneath the armor to protect his skin. It fell with a loud clatter to the floor, reafirming the wonder with which A'Hallei moved so silently.

When it fell free A'Hallei let his other gauntlet drop and ran his hands through the lush obsidian lair, wondering at why the shaking breaths. He was never so nervous before. Maybe it was because he was an artist, and artists needed to see, or something. He kissed at the corners of Makenna's mouth and along his jaw lightly.

A'Hallei's large spiked pauldrons were still in place, though without the gauntlets to hold them, it was only a matter of loosening the straps before they too slid to the floor, leaving him without armor on the upper half of his body. He sighed happily as Makenna's roaming fingers slid along his shirt, grazing over old scars without a thought.

Giving his love more kisses, A'Hallei stopped when Makenna's smile cracked wider. He kissed that spot again before lightly flicking his tongue across it, his own smile becoming a boyish grin to know he'd found such a spot.
