Anya's feline ears lost their friendly perk as her head drooped and her hand slid down the glass; she had hoped that the lady of the house would understand the circumstances of the Kaelan wearing her clothing, but that would have to be explained for it to be forgiven. She eased the window open somewhat and whispered to the pair in an attempt to escape the ears of the prowling lycan, "Uhm, hi there," she began. "I'm actually not a thief, and I'm here to help you with that wolf out there - I couldn't stand by and just let him kill you and your daughter, miss, and as far as far as my borrowing your clothes, I've been without any for over a week now, so I hoped you wouldn't mind too terribly..." She smiled again as she gave the two a sheepish expression.

Fey opened the main door and sniffed slowly. The smell of the Feline was back. He turned slightly thinking about going back when he remembered what the feline had told him. "Wolfram" He said aloud and quickly darted from the Manor into the woods. He hid himself from sight high up in a tree and watched for the signs of the feline.

Bheann had a sumptuous table laid out for one. She found her appetite was whetted and she ate with a gusto that surprised her. Licking her fingers, she sang to the animals and they came exuberantly to pick the table clean. Bheann spent some time with them and then bathed in the lake.
She walked naked to her ancient oak and climbed the stairs in an absorbed reverie. Her skin shivered, remembering the ardent touch of the young man, so recently demised. She felt a hollow ache. She was an adept at seduction, but had never known of the love the humans spoke of. Now she doubted her skill as a seductress, after letting Syn go. She dressed with her mind wandering down new and unfamiliar paths.
She yearned for something beyond her life in this wood. She didn't think she could leave it, though. Her attachment to the lake, the wood and the animals had lasted centuries. She found herself looking in a polished brass mirror with a brush in her hand. Bheann brushed her hair vigorously to brush away unwanted thoughts and then donned the multiple layers of clothing popular in the human town. She pulled soft brown boots over woolen hose and left the tree untidy.
Bheann wandered down the creekside and toward the town, bemused. She was close to town when she felt the presence of another fae. Interesting. A visitor. The fae wasn't alone. Even more interesting. Startled out of her reverie, Bheann went searching... quietly.

((OOC: If Firespark and Blaidd don't mind, I'm going to skip to the morning.))
Vasilisa woke up in the back of the lean-to, where she had set up a bit of private quarters. Careful not to wake her companions, she gingerly rose and stepped out of the lean to, grabbing her bow and quiver of arrows. Might as well practice while I'm waiting for the others. Picking a tree, she touched the trunk, whispering a few words until it glowed. Then walking a good ways away, she put an arrow to her bow, aimed, and fired. She smiled as the arrow hit the bullseye. Perfect. She grabbed another arrow, and continued practicing, silently thanking the Koshchei house guard, Illya, that had taught her archery. Old friend, if I ever find you again, I'm giving you all the jewels in Rus.

She followed the whisper of leaves till she heard the song of the larch. She tried to fight back a sudden surge of jealousy. Someone was singing to her tree in her wood. Common decency required fae entering another fae's territory to greet the guardian and ask permission to pass or stay. A nagging voice told Bheann it was as much her fault for not being aware of her borders. On the other hand, she had more important business last night. She excused herself quickly and just as soon laid the burden of guilt on the trespasser. Anger and resentment grew as she approached the larch and saw a white-skinned beauty with her bow shooting into the thick bark of a larch WITH the larch's permission.
She glared furiously at the larch, who visibly withered and dropped a shower of leaves. She marched up to the fae and skewered her with an offended gaze, hands on hips and feet planted hip's width apart solidly on HER ground. "Well?!?" she demanded.

Vasilisa blushed, Obviously I'm on her borders... But why couldn't I tell? "Forgive me," She bowed her head, "I did not intend to intrude on your lands." "My name is Wise Vasilisa Koshcheina." she continued, giving her full true name as per the law. Since she had violated the other fae's borders, she was at her mercy. "I am new to these parts and did not realize my limitations. I humbly ask your forgiveness and submit myself for your judgement." She stood there with her head bowed, waiting on the fae's decision.
((OOC: I actually was going to have the Russian word for wise as part of her name, but when I looked it up, I could only get the cyrillic lettering. Argh! Anybody know the phoenitic spelling, let me know!))

((I have a friend who speaks Russian fluently. I can ask him tomorrow-- Mudryjj? Does that sound right?))
Beann was somewhat mollified by the beauty's humble behavior. "Mudryjj Vasilia Koscheina." It was a difficult name and did not slip well off her tongue. The fae's manner and thick accent were foreign. Bheann softened and introduced herself. "I am Beann Fhionn, commonly known as the white lady in these parts. I am the guardian of the valley surrounded by these hills, and most especially the lake therein. I notice that my larch accepted your song, which caused me no small grief I will admit. You will take me to your camp and introduce me to your companions and we will sup on bread and milk."
Beann shook off her resentment and cloaked herself in hospitality for now. The fae Vasilia was beautiful and courteous when accosted. Let her companions speak for themselves.

((Yes, please ask him if it's not too much trouble. I'll go with Mudryjj for now.))
Vasilisa raised her head after the fae spoke. "Well met Beann Fhion." she said softly, "Again I apologize for my trespass. My companions are camping in the lean-to on the edge of this clearing." She led Beann to the encampment. I wonder why I couldn't tell the border lines... It was raining last night, and Tan was carrying me... but...
Would you mind terribly if I checked something? She asked Beann. She brought out the little golden sphere, deft fingers rolling it around as it glowed. Sweet Mother Mokosh'! she realized after a few minutes, I sensed the magic, but I didn't expect this! There are so many powers interfering with each other in this world, it's amazing I was able to perform any spells without my ball! No wonder I fell unconscious after performing the finding spell! Wide-eyed, she turned to Beann. "Is there usually so much chaotic magic in the air here? she asked.

((OOC: I asked him and he said it is pronounced Moodree; the transliteration would be Mudryj or Mudrij))
Beann watched curiously as Vasilisa consulted her golden orb. An exotic power flowed from the orb. Who would put so much power in a tiny object? The concept stunned her. If she ever left the forest...
"Chaotic? There has been a recent surge, if that's what you are referring to. A word-changing event happened right here last night and the energies should be realigning even as we speak. I am worn out from my part, if you don't mind hearing a personal matter and would be glad of some company."
Beann accompanied Vasilisa as they strolled through the wood. Perhaps the larch was confused. No matter. Things are still working themselves out.

((Thanks!)) "A world-changing event?" Vasilisa furrowed her brow in thought, This world gets stranger and stranger... "If you are willing to tell me of your part in this event, I would be willing to hear more." Vasilisa said calmly, "I also have a quest, although it's hardly world-changing. I am merely searching for my mortal husband." She looked up at the trees, "I've should have known I was in the forest of a fae. Your domain is well cared for, more so than the leshii's forest near my home."

Fey had been top focused to notice the sounds of footsteps below him. "Fey is that you?" Asked a young Lycan in human form. Fey looked down slowly then turned back to the manor. "What are you doing here Kimbo?" He said coldly. Kimbo stared towards the manor and smelled the blood of the lord all over Fey. "You killed the lord didn't you. Fey there gonna send the guards and hunters after us. Why did you do something like that?" Fey hopped down from the tree landing behind the young lycan. "Kimbo!" He said a little angrily. "The others from the city joined up with you right?" Kimbo quickly turned around and ran infront of Fey "Yeah they showed up then I came to find out what happened to you." Fey started walking into the forest Kimbo walked beside him looking at Fey oddly. Fey Stopped suddenly. "Kimbo tell your father to take our kind deep into the woods. Take them to the caves and stay there till I return." Kimbo quirked his head. "Return? Fey Where are you going?" Fey Chuckled a bit. "I'm going to raise us an army Kimbo. Until I return keep our kind hidden, hunt only the elk and beast of the forests for your food and leave the humans alone as much as possible. Do you understand?" Kimbo nodded slightly. "I'll do what you ask." Kimbo Started to take off into the woods when he stopped and looked back at Fey. "Good luck on your journey my brother." He said before dissapearing into the trees.

writewritewritegetintthecenter “The deed is already done, dear lady,” Lana said softly. Her mind reeled before she stopped it from questioning which door or window the catwoman had come in through to begin with. She had an inkling that it was this very window she had come in through. Lana straightened her composure and folder her hands in her lap, “What do you propose, my good lady?”
Santaiel did not trust this funny smelling creature. Her very scent offended his instincts. He was appalled that the lady was going to listen to her. He growled quietly in the back of his throat, eyes flashing yellow. Unbeknownst to them all, a small wind picked up and slowly started moving a cloud out from in front of the moon. Within a breath, the light of the moon would fill the room, a beam illuminating Santaiel, for now though, they were safe.

Fey walked lightly down a long dirt road. the Lords cloths fit nicely in his human form.he could still see the lights of the manor shining in the distance. He looked towards the city the flames had started to die down. "What a night." He said to himself outloud. He sat down tired and stared at the manor and the city thinking back. The only lead he had to finding the wolfram was that Feline back at the manor. He didn't want to bother the Lady of the house twice in one night, She had suffered enough, But with his only lead back at the manor he decided to return in secret to find the feline. He reached the Manor in a few moments running at top speed. He hopped up onto the roof quietly and began sniffing for the felines scent. The scent of something eles caught his intrest.

"Your husband? You love him then, this mortal? I have never known love. Your quest sounds so much more intriguing than any tale I could tell. Mine is simply a duty done."
Beann shrugged and took the fae's hand. Vasilisa's power felt cool and comforting, like a swim in the lake on a hot day. Beann felt herself being drawn to the woman and was tempted to draw back. Vasilisa was strong-- perhaps it was the orb she carried with her, but Beann was uncomfortable not being in control.

Vasilisa blushed at Beann's question, "Yes, I love Ivan," she said quietly, "He came for me when I was forced to go back to my father's domain. Now I must help him."
She was a little surprised that Beann took her hand, but smiled softly, I wonder if she has been alone as long as I was before Ivan's arrow found me.
"Have you been in this forest for all your life then? Vasilisa asked, "Truth be told, the only domain I ever had was a swamp, but I spent all of my time there in frog skin." she sighed, "A punishment my father gave me for being more powerful in magic than he was."
