Iris ducked, grabbing Emma to duck with her. Emma cried out for her mother but the older woman had gone back inside, calling the police. "What is that?" Emma and Iris both asked.

They managed to get into emma's mother's house and he looked to them "We will just be safe if we stay in here for the moment." The house was full of rooms and he looked to Iris "We need to talk now." He smiled to them "We will be back in a moment I'm going to alert the taskforce and they should alert the national gaurd about this. We will just use one of your rooms to talk privately about it." he takes her hand and guides Iris into one of the room shutting it so they were alone and he turned to her "Now do you see what you have done!"

Iris Recoiled. "What I did? How can it be my fault some dino thingy came shooping in, Huh?" She demanded.

"They are reapers, when a time paradox happens like say your mother living past this day they come in and eat everyone to help "sterlize the wound". You mother must die or else they will keep eating people!" The Professor explained.

"I'm sorry, if the timelords were still around we might work something else out but I'm sorry, the reapers will eat everyone in sight just to make up for one person cheating the death they were destined to take. They try to clean up paradoxes and your mother being alive is one of them." He put a hand on her shoulder "I'm sorry, Iris."

Iris sighed, going into the other room where Emma, Jordan, and baby Iris were. Emma was bouncing Baby Iris on her knee, Iris laughing and screaming. Iris looked over at the doctor with tears in her eyes. "Zoe, are you alright?" Jordan asked. Iris sniffed, drying her eyes. "I'm fine, Grammy." Oh s**t were her next thoughts. Both women stared at her, even Baby Iris was stunned. "Umm....I meant...You're a grandma and-" Iris gave up.
"Iris?" Emma tried. Iris lost it, letting out a sob. "How did you know?" "Well, you came out of a giant blue box that came out of nowhere." Emma answered.

The Professor came out and observed this and nodded "Oh so you saw that huh? Well how did you know it was iris though? I know you saw the box and us walk out but I'm just curious."

Emma shrugged. "When I was pregnant with Iris, I had a dream. And I saw you, as you are right now." She said, indicating towards Iris. "And besides, my mother and I just watched Back to the Future." She said playfully.
She rounded on the Doctor. "Though, what is a guy like you doing with my daughter? I'm sure I taught her better than that in the future."
Iris cried, sitting on the couch to sob. "What's wrong?" Jordan asked. "Thats the thing, you didn't." Iris sobbed.

"Today you were suppose to die and because you didn't it caused a time paradox and unlike back to the future, when someone who was suppose to die didn't, they will not remarkably be ok but large creatures called the Reapers who would search out disturbances in time, such as temporal paradoxes, leave the Time Vortex and "sterilize" the area by devouring everything, with older objects being the tastiest and sentient beings of more interest than inanimate objects. I was part of a time race and when they were still around, paradoxes like this could be repaired but now this house and places like it will probably be the only places in the world where people will still be alive, the creatures will eat everyone else." The Professor sighed for a moment taking in it all and looking to them for a reaction.

Emma sat down, looking from the Doctor, to Iris, to Jordan, finally to Baby Iris. "So, I'm going to die." Iris nodded sadly. Emma nodded, getting up. "Then before I go, I have something for you and your father." She went into the other room. She came back with three envelopes. She handed an open one to Iris. Iris opened it to read the letter.
Dear Mrs. Pierre,
We regret to inform you that we have found a malignant tumor in your frontal lope. We could operate but it would be only a 5% chance you'd live. I'm so sorry Mrs. Pierre. Tell your husband to make sure you're a comfortable as possible. We don't know how long you have.

Iris nodded sadly. "You were going to die anyway." Emma smiled sadly. "My doctor, He claims that Narcolepsy, the cells can sometimes cluster and make a tumor. I had you tested-" She pointed to Baby Iris "And you have it too. Narcolepsy. Thats what I came here to do. To go to a doctor without your father knowing." Iris shook her head. She knew their family doctor and her father were friends who told each other everything, Patient confideniality aside.
Emma turned to the Doctor. "Listen, I'm okay to die. But how was I supposed to die?" She asked. Iris and Jordan looked at each other, both in tears.

The Professor looked to them with a sigh and looked to Iris for a moment "You were suppose to die today in a car accident."

Emma nodded. "Okay then, when is this car accident?" "Right about now?" Iris answered. "It was a milk truck." Emma got up. "Okay then, I'll have to find this milk truck, right?" She put a jacket on with shaking fingers. "Emma, please don't do this." Jordan begged. Emma turned to her mother, giving her a big hug. "Its okay Mamma." Emma broke away, turning to her daughter. "Come here baby." Iris ran to her mother's arms, hugging her tightly. "Tell your dad I'm love him." Emma said.
Emma pulled away, walking out the door. As The doctor, Iris, and Jordan were looking at each other, they heard a crash and Emma's scream.

The Professor took Iris out of the house as he ran her to the tardis " We have to go back because time is now reconfigured, all that the reapers ate are now back to normal, the milk truck that was stuck in a constant flux of that moment is back to normal. Time is moving forward and noone will remember we were here." He pulled out his key opening the door of the Tardis stoping for a moment before lookin back to Iris putting a hand on her shoulder "Iris..........sometimes....sometimes you can't save them no matter how hard you try."

Iris pounded on the door, letting out her fustration. "What's the point then?" She said, sobbing loudly. She turned on him. "Then what's the point of traveling though time huh?"
