COVrock Since when did you have the right to even begin to insult religion?
Considering one of you is agnostic and the other is just religionless, I can plainly see your cry for social help.
Little teenage angst episodes do not give you a SINGLE right to criticize ANY of us who actually do fly under an organized banner.
It is you who are the blind ones.

I wasn't saying any of you were wrong. My parents happen to be christians but I just never grew up going to church like my sisters had. I know my opinion was strong and I now understand it was insulting, for that I appologise. But I hold NO resentment towards religion itself or anyone who chooses to follow it. We all look for the answers of life, like you (Wapples and COV) you seek the knowledge of our existense through religion but I look for a more logical and mathmatical way that makes sense to me. In the end, we are looking for the same thing just in different ways. Colm accepts the fact that we may never understand our origins or the true meaning of humanity and life but that does not mean he is wrong either.
Again, I sincerely appologise for any contraversies. That day I was a bit more liberal than usual I understand I crossed a boundary, I didn't mean any harm to either of you. Please forgive me...
As since the beginings of time we fight for the true path of enlightenment but I personal don't believe there is really a true path. So I accept anyones senbsible choice of finding the truth or just accepting the fact that we are here and that is all that matters.

You can take anything out of conext my dear and turn it around but within context only do you see the full intent. And I will stop myself there. I know I didn't need to justify myself but I always end up doing it, its my selfdefense mechanism though I know in no way was I threatened thus the lack of necessity shows...

I honestly think that COV is one of the best RPer's I know. From what I've seen from his statements and many others posts hes a well knowledgable and mature kid (relative term) I would definately consider being his friend if our conflicting opinions could be set aside. And I'm not in a grouchy or pissy mood just so everyone knows, I'm not mad at anyone and my opinions haven't changed about them.

Anywhoodle, enjoy the rest of your evening. blaugh This is not about close-minded, regardless of my previous, albeit childish annoyance. I am not, personally, a religious man. I do not go to church, I do not pray on a regular basis, but I believe in a higher power outside of my control, namely, God.
It is hard to be close-minded in a situation like this, and, although, I understand your sentiments for wanting to see this in a way that makes it rational to you, automatically viewing any religious affiliation as blind is just stupid. As with Waffles, I do respect her want and acceptance for religion in her daily life as much as I see where you can come off with believing that religion is not a necessity in your life. The fact still stands it was bold and quite unneeded for you to voice a very one-sided opinion on a VERY controversial matter.
Please forgive my outburst from earlier, both sides of this arguement, I just don't see one side as wrong and the other side right. I do however, feel a strong annoyance towards close-minded discrimination of someone's beliefs. I am not asking that you try to understand or interpret this, but please remember the words you use are very hurtful whether you intended for them to be or not, and the fact of the matter is your justification of your beliefs only hurt you further when it came to holding an unbias opinion on of others and how they seek fulfillment in their lives.
I understand that you want to be my friend(s), and, trust me, I'm an easy guy to get along with, but I cannot accept intolerance. In any form.

I understand, I was very rude and blunt and it was very unecessary. I seem to choke on my foot alot and for that I feel very ignorant a good portion of the time. I didn't mean for things to happen like that but I could not help it. I seem to learn from my mistakes the hard way but I think that is what helps me grow the most. I also understand that it seemed I was intolerant of religion but in truth I am very accepting of it. I was just never introduced to it and I myself believe at times in a higher power though not an absolute power. I am gald we've sort of mended things and from now I will really think before I say something so controversal.

Dead in some spots, but somehow still surviving in others.
