Caelestra blinked "I'm pregnant? Cubs? No way!" She frowned.. that had been rather quick. She glanced at Nightfall "I've only been with one male recently enough to get pregnant from him..."

She frowned "No.. I meant one as in ONE. Only Skywise. The last guy I was with before him.. was well over a year ago... and I know it wouldn't take me this long to find out I was pregnant if he had been the father. I'd have the kids already!"

"Ugh.." She rubbed her temples "Ok.. he explained that recognized stuff to me.. I think..." She frowned "And we're not. Geez... this shouldn't be possible with you guys. Regular pony's don't need this recognition to have babies so I assumed..." She trailed off trying to figure out how this happened..

She blinked "Is cubs a good thing? Do you know how many? And well.. IS this a good thing?" They seemed.. well in shock... she could only imagine how Skywise would react...

"Cubs are always a good thing," Nightfall hastened to assure her, "But to have more then one at once...."
"There are at least two, I cannot tell yet if there are more."
"Cutter and Leetah are the only ones I've ever known to have more then one cub in a birthing. No wolfrider ever before had...."
"Until one mated with some one not a Wolfrider," Leetah said, piecing something together.
"And now Skywise..." Nightfall said, catching on.
"We definatly need to let Cutter know!"

"Ah.. two or more... wow." She was in shock a bit herself but listened to their explanations carefully. "Hmm... that could be why? Mating with a.. non-wolfrider leads to more... cubs." She sighed "Would you like to go back so you can discuss this with Cutter and the others?"

"Yes we should," Leetah said. "We don't have a midwife, but I do know how to help. I will do all I can for you and the cubs."
"I can't wait to see what kind of a father Skywise is going to be," she said with a laugh before picking up the fish.

Caelestra nodded "Thats ok.. I know some others who can help if you feel too out of depth." She grinned "I'm sure he'll be.... interesting" Getting up slowly and following them back.

They walked back together, letting her set the pace.
Skywise grinned when they came back. "That was shorter then expected. Missed flying?"
Cutter chuckled, then smiled more warmly. "Fish for the cubs?"

"Umm... yeah... so I got sick before... and Leetah checked... and I'm er... pregnant. With cubs. That are yours." She fidgeted "Apparently somehow we didn't need that recognition business... and now.. I can't fly... maybe."
