My position as the biggest Phan in my MAC class was cemented today. MAC= Modern American Culture.
And we had to do this thing where we pick names out of a hat and whoever we get we have to pick a song that reminds us of that person and play it for the class. So today the first person went, he said "Do NOT look at the lyrics yet" so they were passed around face down and he turned on the music. I hear the first measure and *facepalm* I knew it was about me. Guess what it was. All I Ask of You.
*facepalm*
That also divided the phans from the non-phans because you could tell some people knew from measure one.

More Phanexperiences in the daily life of Elanchana:
Yesterday... I was home alone in the evening. The first thing I did was spend about an hour and a half on the Phan Guild. Then I made and ate dinner listening to the Phantom soundtrack. Then I did my homework while watching French Phantom.
Band class... Ellie: We're watching Phantom of the Opera... Me: *suddenly turns towards Ellie* What...did...you...say...?... Ellie: We're watching Phantom of the Opera in TNT. (TNT=twenty minutes sometime during the day) Me: YAAAAY!!!! *hugs Ellie* Go you!
MY TNT time...we read a play... My character: *reads poem* A voice: *accuses people of murder* My character: Turn it off, it's horrible!!! Sounds sort-of Phantomish... Right after I couldn't stop saying "We shall be punjabbed one by one!"
In choir... Of course, Elizabeth and I kept making reference after reference.
Right now... I'm watching French Phantom. Again.

Well my life had been very Phantomish over the past few months. This desperate, lusty psycho girl managed to lure my boyfriend into a relationship with her. He eventually dumped her because he didn't want to keep hurting me, and now she still stalks him. Oh, and she was teaching him how to speak Japanese and turning him on to some anime shows.

This morning on the TV they were advertising Pittsburg magazine. They showed pics and excerpts from recent issues and a pic of the Phantom of the Opera production from last January was in it. Since no one was around I squealed like a little phangirl.

Continued, Phantom in the daily life of Elanchana...
Yesterday... I watched this movie, and there was one part that was REALLY similar to the Christine-Erik-Raoul triangle thing. There's even one part where one guy says "Don't sing for him; Sing for me." (The woman in this is a singer.)
Today...SO day... On the bus, two friends were talking over my shoulder about CD's that they had brought. I wasn't very interested. Then one of them said "I brought Phantom of the Opera." Well, of course, I perked up right away with a little NeeH. There was one point when someone said the phrase "every waking moment". Immediately I got All I Ask of You in my head. And lastly, I kept trying to fake-punjab people with my scarf. (Notice I said "fake"!)

This one is morbid but true. I got dragged out of the bath with my dad telling me we had to get to my grandma's house. She passed away today and I was listening to the 2004 soundtrack all the way there and as we turned onto the road where her apartment was "WYWSHA" came on.

How tragic, Baka.
I always told myself when my Dad finally passes, I'd sing that at his funeral.

Yeah, my aunt says she can't listen to WYWSHA, because she was the only daughter of five kids and was a father's girl and he passed away .. she was devastated. ; ; I can hardly listen to it without crying. I like it how 2004!Christine sings it though. The Broadway version I saw in NYC was a bit rushed to me.
Anyway ...
I went to the store today to get a cape for Superhero Spirit Day (we have spirit week at school next week. <3) and saw a 'Masquerade' isle. I walked down it, of course (my mom laughing at me) and there laying was a Phantom mask. I shrieked and tried to put it on but it was weird. My mom said that Phantom isn't considered a hero and I pouted.
As we were leaving the store I said "I'll come back for you! ;3; I promise!" and got weird glances from the store employees.
... <3

Oh, my god. I totally spazzed when I saw this.
I was watching the simpsons today, which was an all new episode. Apparently, Lenny (one of Homer's friends) was having a party for his new plasma TV. When it first comes on, we see the Masquerade ballroom. I didn't catch it for what it was, but then they showed Erik in all his masked glory, singing at the top of his lungs! I nearly had a heart attack. If I can ever find a screen shot of his Simpsons animation, I am so making it my signature.

I'd like to hear about it, if you ever get the information. ^^ Not really a big phantom-ish moment, but last night I was watching Diagnosis Murder with my mom last night. There's a part where the main doctor Marc Sloan (d**k Van Dyke, ee! whee ) is sneaking into a plastic surgery place, with his face COVERED in white bandages, only showing his mouth and eyes. He was also wearing a trenchcoat and the hat the phantom wears (argh, the name escapes me, sorry). He looks utterly ridiculous, and my lil brother proclaims, "THE PHANTOM! HE'S REALLY AN OLD MAN!!" ... *Shrugs* It cracked me up. It's a be there thing, I guess. XP

Today we got a new song in choir. Called "Maquerule". (I think.)
Elizabeth: Hey, at first I thought this said "Masquerade". I was like "YESS!!" Me: OMG, my thoughts exactly!
