Xan rubbed his temples with two fingers, agitated. "It can be defeated. Maybe not killed, but subdued for eternity. Both of which is better than it laying waste to the city known as Havaix."
He groaned, stripping off his shirt. He shivered in the cold winds as they caressed his form. "I ask... because we are going TO him. If he comes here, the city will be destroyed before we so much as faze him."...[Sorry Falina.]

She looked down, slightly reassured, but not by much. This was going to be difficult.
"I see. Then, I guess we've no choice than to follow the spider into its web." She turned to the others.
"For this fight, we'll all have to forget our differences. Xan, I suppose this doesn't apply to you quite as much, but Avenger," she offered a hand for him to shake, "we can't afford to argue while we're out there."

Xan gave them both a strange look. The whole time... without fighting?.... He almost doubted it, but it was good to see that they could attempt it.
"Fayt... do you have my power ring?"
The said wolf shrunk back into the shadows. "...If I said no?"

Avenger pushed her hand away slightly. "we'll talk about differences and such AFTER we come back..." he said, sounding confident that SOMEONE would return, though he didn't think it would be him.
Ravelt looked a bit nervous. "uuh...I don't think I can help much. I use fire...and I can't really swim too well..." he said.

The dark-clad woman looked at him, slightly annoyed. And here I was, trying to GET ALONG with him... She grumbled inwardly, but shoved all the irritation away. Those feelings would have no use on the battlefield. She sighed, and instead turned her thoughts to her own pet's safety. Kneeling down, she stood face to face with Rithey.
"Now, are you SURE you're ready for this?" She asked, serious and determined. Her butterfly wasn't that old yet, and Falina was NOT going to let her die.
Rithey shifted uneasily at her mother's somberness.
"I want to do this mommy," the little butterfly spoke firmly, "If I die, I'll have died so that Venix and Kratos don't die!" She smiled suddenly, and added, "I won't let my friends die no matter what!"
Doro had to grin at this. Although it was a weak, worried smile, he had to admire her courage. Filled with renewed energy, the blue bat stood firmly and told his owner, "I'll be fine, too! Don't worry about me- I'm a ninja, remember? Just don't get yourself killed out there, mom."
Falina's mouth turned up at the corners, slightly, then growing wider. Perhaps everything would be okay... she stood up.
"Well, I guess I can't sway them," she said, her voice trembling, ever so slightly, "I think we can do this!

Avenger nodded in agreement. "thats true. we CAN do it...and the loudmouth won't die...even if I need to...painfully remove her..." he said, though he had meant he would die to save ANY of the pets.

Xan gave Fayt a cold stare and the wolf marched over. Hesitantly, he handed over the ruby ring that Xan had given him for safekeeping.
Xan’s eyes narrowed as he slipped on the ring, his eyes flowing with unleashed power. “Here we are.” A chuckle slipped passed his lips. “I haven’t worn my power gem in a long time.” He looked up, suddenly smirking. “I think I’m going to enjoy this.”
Fayt shivered as the new side of Xan was uncaged. It surely had been a long time since Xan had let this side of him go. It was scary, and he had no idea how this 'Xan' would act. He feared this Xan almost more than the coming monster.
Just then, a hiss filled the air, lengthy, and unperturbed.
"That would be our call, ladies and gentlemen." Xan said, the smirk not fading. "And now to call dearest Xavier back to base one." Breathing on the gem, he chanted a sentence in a language different than our own, and the air became hot. ...

The dark-clad woman had to use of her self control to refrain from laughing. Why, he DOES have a heart! She thought. It was a nice feeling, knowing that he actually cared about another being. She smiled, but for some reason, felt like she was about to cry. Swallowing hard, she held her head and said, "Allright, let's do this."
[I think we can actually get onto the fight now guys XD No more chit-chat- this is starting to sound a little like Dragon Ball Z XD ]

The air sizzled and sparked. Flames erupted instantaneously. It was if it were alive all by itself.
Xavier tumbled out of the air, surrounded of fire. He fumed in anger, instantly putting those out. "What the hell?" He demanded. "I was just eating dinner. XAN, you MADE me LOSE my dinner!!"
"You chose to leave."
"So? Free right as a freaking god."
"It is part of your responsibility."
Xavier finally paused, realizing the change in Xan. "...Alexanderite?"

Rithey looked around, quite confused. Xan seems... very different. Something about his nature had changed. He seemed much more frightening- almost sinister. She shuddered once and kept watching.
Doro listened intently. Why had Xavier called him Alexandrite just then? Was that his full name? Or did it mean something else? The blue bat pricked his ears up, intrigued. [I lied.]

Avenger observed, interested. so it was Xan's intention to have Xavier help as well. that meant they stood more of a chance then he had guessedd, which means it was actually possible to balance the equation between the leviathan and them.
