Rin was slightly suprised that he came from behind, but not enough to jump. She looked back and nuzzled his neck, carefull to keep her horn away from him. "I didn't even know you were back there, you blend in."

*Sting looked back, seeing very little of the darknening valley outside the forest.*

"He's more bark than bite. Don't worry about him. He'll be content to see me happy and he's got a family to look after." Rin swished her tail and flicked her ears, knowing that back in the valley Noctus was standing sentry and watching the forest for signs of Rin.

*Sting backed up a bit, and nosed around her sides and flank, smelling her as if she was a stranger to him. He moved his muzzle closer to her tail dock and then lifted his head, his tail and head held high now like a high-strung arabian.*

Rin looked around in excitment. She flicked her tail and then raised it. She turned around, teasing him and sniffed his muzzle.

*Sting touched his muzzle to hers, becomming more high strung than he had been in quite some time. He followed her hind end about, and seized an opportunity just as the sun began to peek out from behind the old mansion, flooding the forest with a thin, bright light.*

Rin's hooves sunk into the ground. She flicked her ears around to face him, standing otherwise perfectly still allowing him to finish.

*Sting pulled away and dropped down to the ground, his expression seeming like more of himself. By now the sun had brightened the land quickly, the shadows that once hid Sting now retreated, seemingly back into the mansion, where it seemed they would have come from. So dark and lifeless.*

Rin stood silently for a minute, before shaking her mane. She nuzzled him excited about the prospect of having a foal.

Rin looked at him. "Is something wrong?" She nuzzled him carefully, her ears flicking around.
Noctus stood, impatiently pawing at the ground. "Why aren't they back yet?" He snorted and paced in a small circle watching the forest.

[coor=darkgreen] Noctus sighed, nuzzeling her back. "I'm worried that he'll do something to her. She doesn't know anything. He could have his way with her and she couldn't stop him." He pinned his ears back and grimiced at the thought. When he turned to look at her and Celeste his gaze softened and some of the anger drained from his voice. "She's my sister. It's my responsibility to keep her safe."
