Jon had looked Love in the eyes until she touched his track marks. He looked away, ashamed.
-"Y-yeah..."
Jon paused for a moment, then gave Love a hug.
-"You might as well enjoy this while you can, 'cause I don't give many hugs."

"I was going to enjoy it anyways." she mumbled. "Sorry that I broke down on you like that....I usually don't." She sniffled again and rubbed at her nose with her sleeve. Having nothing else to say, she snuggled deeper into his arms.

Jon smiled and just held Love a bit closer, resting his head on top of hers.

Love smiled as she pulled back a little. "If you had more, I'd be a little freaked out. But I'll remember....I would say the same for you, but that would probably hurt your ego a bit." She pressed her head against his shoulder again, just happy to feel someone's arms around her.

Love started when suddenly the door burst open. Tabby ran in looking frantic. "Love! I've been calling for the past......oh." She said when she saw the two of them. "I'll just get going and see you in class three hours from now." Turning she shut the door slowly behind her, giving Love a quick glance before the door shut.
"And now, Jon, you know Tabby." Love laughed again, looking at the clock. "Wonder why she had to talk to me at four in the morning?"

Jon looked over at the woman freaking out. She left, and Jon shook his head in confusion.
-"Tabby, huh? That was weird..."

Love pulled back to look at him. "Tabby is the very defination of 'weird'. Trust me, you should see her on a rant about the, and I quote, 'the oppression of the gays'." Tilting her head, she asked, "Don't you have any odd friends?"

"Um, I would say so. Weird is just threatening to kill someone by shoving a knife up the mattress until the screaming stops in a joking way. Psychotic is actually doing it. At least, that's how I think on it." Love looked up and noticed for the first time how close their faces were.

Jon looked up and began reminiscing.
-"Then all of my friends are psychotic, just a few are weird. My friends... they would play with fireworks regularly. We'd have bottle rocket wars, roman candle wars, and once we shot a mortar at a store. Almost got caught, too..."
Jon looked down at Love and found that their faces were very close. He swallowed and his mind began racing.

Love couldn't really hear what he was saying because her heart was racing and her mind seemed to go on hold. "Hmm, really?" She leaned forward a little just so she could feel the warmth of him lips and then stopped, waiting for him to to the rest.

To Jon, everything suddenly became blank, mute. It was as if they had been dropped in a lake of breathable liquid. Jon leaned in the rest, and immediately felt his heart jump into his mouth. Jon swallowed it down then embraced Love more, lost in the moment.

As soon as Love realized what was happening, she leaned in again for a moment, then slowly pulled away. "We might want to slow down." She kissed him again, just as brief. "Don't you think?"
