Finally having gathered her thoughts together, Jasper realized that both Andrew and Lila were staring at her with wide, shiny eyes. Her mind quickly tried to come up with an alibi for her extreme strength, but soon felt that it wasn't worth the effort.
"Um... hehe," Jasper started awkwardly, a hand behind her head, then finally sighed. "Well, no point in hiding the fact now. Yes, I'm a vampire. I'm terribly sorry you had to witness that little scene, but honestly, I only did it in order to protect you two." She finished, hoping that she hadn't scared her customers off.

"It was very entertaining. I shall have to come back sometime if the show is always this entertaining. Might I have that second glass of wine now?" Andrew smiled, nonplussed by Jasper's announcement. "You know, I have never met a vampire before. How fascinating."

Shocked by what Andrew had said, Jasper turned slightly pink. "Well, thank you, I'm glad you were entertained," she said, filling his glass with more of the same wine she had served him before. She returned the glass to it's former spot, in front of Andrew.
"I'm surprised that you've never met a vampire before," Jasper said, "there are quite a few here in Twilight City. A lot of them aren't exactly nice though. Some, like myself, can still get along very well with non-vampires. The others either go insane, or become evil, or both." While she spoke, she opened the cooler where she kept blood, retrieved a shot glass, and granted herself a quick shot of blood.

Lila was speechless. Jasper was a vampire all this time and she didn't even know. Lila smelt the stench of blood as Jasper took out the shot and drunk it in front of Lila. She gulps and stumbles back. Her eyes widen, not as big as a saucer, but pretty dam close. "When, how?" The question came out like a whimper from her lips. She was in utter shock. More shock than when the two drunks took out weapons. I mean, she works in a kitchen for god shakes. There are idiots that run around with a knife in their hands all the time, she included.

Andrew shrugs as Jasper explains her surprise. "I mostly keep to myself. When I am not by myself, I am usually playing for a crowd. You've seen me play; I may as well be alone for as much as I truly notice." Andrew watches Lila even as he speaks to Jasper. Finally, he speaks to the girl. "It hardly seems to merit that much surprise. Especially if vampires are not so unusual, as the lady has suggested."

Lila snapped herself out from her daze when Andrew spoke. She racked her brain for something to say but eventually decided on saying this. "I guess so. But wouldn't it be funny if I also happened to be a vampire too? Just think of it! Ha, ha!" Lila laughed out and mentally slapped herself for adding the part about herself. Would it come out as to obvious? Questions such as that made Lila stiffed like a broom. She than loosened up and spun around her chair a few times. Digging her hands into her pockets she looked up at Jasper and asked. "Do you have any green tea here?" she asked. She was getting cold and her hoodie wasn't warming her enough.

"It would certainly be ironic, given your degree of surprise. Are you?" Andrew watched Lila curiously, but only for a moment before his attention was drawn back to his wine. the idea of vampires did not bother him so much, he found. After all, the only confirmed vampire he had ever met was serving him drinks. She certainly was not leaping across the bar at him, fangs out and salivating. Which was more than he could say for the shadow creatures that roamed the perpetual night. He would far rather take his chances with two vampires than one of those.

"I suppose I can let Lucy answer that for me." Lila turned her back away from the two, not wanting to smack them in the face. Taking her hoodie off and fold it in her arms. She sported a black tank top with a low back. In a few seconds dark black bat wings emerge. "I'd like you to meet Lucy." Lila flapped her wings several time as if to make a point. "So... this is perfectly normal to you guys I guess?"

"Perfectly normal? Not in the least. But I have had the good fortune to sit and chat a while before I learned of anything unusual about either of you. After all, is it not true that you are the same girl now as you were when you left me chocolate? And that she is the same woman she was when she served my drink with such impressive flair? Neither of you were terribly shocking then, and so I see no particularly good reason for shock now." Andrew smiles, raises his glass as if in a toast and sips from it. "If everyone pumped such delectable things into me, I imagine I might even become a likable person. Or civil at least. Perhaps."

Lila laughed out loud from relief and wiped away a few tears that have sneaked out. "Well, that's a relief. I'm glad that your not one of those anti-creatures of the night savages. And now I have two friends that I don't have to lie to!" Lila did a little happy dance in her mind, not knowing her body had started to do the dance as well unconsciously. When she finally realized what she was doing, her hand rises to the back of her head and sticks out her tongue childishly. Lila, made her wings retreat, placing her hoodie back on and smiled happily.

"Oh, don't stop. It was terribly entertaining." Andrew jokes when Lila stops doing her strange little dance. What an odd girl she was. Kind of cute, though. Like a puppy. Mentally, Andrew reminded himself that people did not generally appreciate being compared to animals. Not even cute, fuzzy little puppies. But he reminded himself just a moment too late to stop his mouth from repeating the thought. "Aren't you just adorable? Like a puppy." Ah, hell.

"A puppy?" Lila questioned herself. "That's a first, ha, ha. I've been compared to many things before, but a puppy is a first." She scratches the top of her head in a bashful manner. Once her hand returns to her side, she looks over to the clock mount on the wall and jumps out of her chair. "Oh Swiss, I need to go back home and sleep. I have a cooking competition tomorrow!" Lila runs towards the exit but stops as she's about to exit the double doors. "Hey, if you guys have the time, why not cheer for me at the inn around lunch time!" Lila smiled happily as she skipped to one of the alley ways and pull off her hoodie once more and took flight in the perfect cloudy night.

((Oh my god, I completely forgot this thread was here. Maybe, if I post something, it'll be revived? Unless I'm the only one who thought to check it...))

It was a few days later that Clif returned to the other side of the river. He was exhausted, and none of his sources on the far bank had anything to give him, but there was an upside. Slung over his back was a sack of delicious looking tropical fruits, just perfectly ripe. He didn't know if Vampires ate solid foods, but he was thinking that maybe that barkeep Jasper would want some.
He made his way to the entrance to the subway and checked the time. He still had about an hour and a half before the train would arrive, but nothing to do. He sat on one of the derelict benches and smelled the fruit one more time. The aroma was simply to die for.
