You have no idea... Riley thought to himself, looking back at the ship.
"If you must know...I'm kinda on the run...not from the law, from my parents...me and my friend...well, we eloped" he said, putting on a (fake) worried face, looking back at the guy.
"If you wouldn't mind not telling anyone about it, it's much appreciated." he added, looking slightly pleading.
All of it, of course, was an act.

Ashe was silent for a moment. "Just wanted to take a good look at the docks. Expecually that new ship that came in." She shrugged and step out of the way for the boy. "Tell me, what do you see?"

Mattias cautiously stepped forward, he kept an eye on the girl before shifting his gaze to outside the window, where he saw an ordinary ship out on the docks. "It's just a ship...what am I supposed to see?" He stepped back and shifted his torso to face her, eyeing her suspiciously.

Eziekel snorted a little bit as he tried to restrain his laughter. "For someone man enough to get married you sure have a wierd relationship with you parents, but seeing as how that's none of my buisness I'll leave you to your 'Sea air'. As for not telling anyone if anyone old enought to be your parents asked you weren't here..." he replied. He turned to go back inside and leave the nagging suspicion he had about the man. Suddenly he was reminded of his need for new clothes as he was about leave. He turned to the man once again, "Do you by anychance know where I can find a good tailor or leather worker?"

Ashe shrugged. "I just wanted to know if you saw the same thing I did." She then walked towards the crates and barrels scattered across the floor. Coming up to the closest one she knelt down besides it, place an ear near it, and knocked on it. It was empty. "Good." She picked it up and walked back to the window. "Now, what do ships that size normally carry?" she asked the boy, placing the crate on the floor and sitting down on it.

Mattias struggled to find the answer, he was in no way a nautical expert. He had only once set foot on a ship before! He couldn't tell her which was starboard or port, let alone anything about the cargo. "I don't know, is it a passenger ship? Maybe livestock..."

Ashe shook her head. "No, that ship isn't built for carrying people, nor for livestock. A ship like that holds anything that is not alive, save the crew. Iron, food, gold, silver, etc." She stretched out a bit and continued. "A ship like that usually has guards both on the docks and off. So why does this one not have any? Also: the flag is one that I haven't seen before, so this bothers me." She sat back up. "Plus, I've heard some pretty colorful tales about this ship and wanted to check it out." She looked back out at the ship and murmured, "If only the day would end soon."

Riley shook his head, at the same time the back of his mind brought up his lie from earlier, calling himself a tanner.
"No, sorry." he said, going back inside.

Mattias shrugged, "So, you're interested in looting the ship I asume. Well good luck with that, if that ship is carrying that kind of cargo I doubt you could just take it. Anyways, it's just a ship. Even if you profited off it what's the big deal if it's different." Matthew didn't like the idea of stealing from a ship, he never had done it before and had no idea the consequences or procedures. Then he stopped and remembered what she had said, "If only the day would end soon." Matt looked right at her, "Wait, you're going to stay out after night? Are you crazy?!"

Ezekiel proceeded back inside, sat down on the cot, and rummaged through his bag. Pulling out a small vile of ink a quill and a journal he'd been given as a gift a few days before he set out on his journey to this place. He made a quick sketch of the man he'd just talked too and a bit of his the story he'd been given before tucking away the journal away in one of its two pockets. The only other thing's he had in the bag being a few days rations and a couple of smithing tools. He shoved a piece of jerky from his rations into his mouth and let it soften a bit before almost swallowing it whole. He threw the bag over his shoulders and headed back down stairs.

He had seen little change at the bar except for a couple of new faces. He walked over to the bar and leaned on it with an elbow. Not many sailors in here for a portside inn. I'd honestly expected a slightly more rowdy bunch., he thought to himself. He called over a waitress with hopes of finding out why so few customers were in.

Delaney rose from her seat in the cellar-room and climbed back up the stairs to the tavern proper. She crawled out from under the stairs, catching a stray cobweb to the face and abruptly stood, hitting her head on the wood and causing her to let out a loud yelp. Rubbing her head, she stood slowly while rubbing her head and walked over to the bar and sat down a couple seats from Ezekiel. Motioning to the bartender, he brought her a mug of ale and she playfully winked at him as he turned to Ezekiel.

"What do ya need?" he asked him gruffly.
-------------

Outside, clouds began to overcast the port town. Soon, it was much darker, and a cool wind gusted off the water. While it had not started raining, it most likely would before nightfall.

Eziekel pushed back part of his jacket sohwing the fact he wasn't wearing a shirt and poked one a few of his fingers through the various holes in his jacket.

"As you can probably see sir, I'm in need of some new outfitting. I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of a good taylor or leather worker, that and a good bowyer if you know one. I'm also kind of curious as to why you have so few customers in here. I mean a portside inn, I kind of expected the place to be half full of drunk sailors. Has anything of interest happened?"

"Apparently there's been some kind of supernatural killing of a guard," the old bartender said with a snarl. "Normally this place'll have a few more people at this time. Definitely more at night. I doubt I'll see many more tonight."

The mention of the guard made Delaney look up from her drink and stare wide-eyed at the old man. She took a long drink and set the mug back down carefully. "You mean there were no witnesses?" she piped in quickly.

The bartender glanced at her and responded with a small nod. "As for your clothing issue," he continued, looking him over closely. "Well you don't look like you have a lot of money. I don't know what you can do about a bowyer, but I guess you could try the tailor on the other side of town. Just follow this road here around the port and you'll find it." Looking at Delaney and then motioning with his hand he continued with a shrug, "She's a woman. I'm sure she knows where it's at."

Delaney's reply was a glare.

Ezeikel looked at the glare on the womans face and felt just a tad intimidated by that glare. He was suprised though that it wasn't an ugly expression as most glares were. He didn't understand where these thoughts were coming from or why so he shook them from his head and foucsed on his clothing issue. He coughed awkwardly and turned to the woman.

"Excuse miss, I don't mean to impose, but. Would you by anychance know where I could find the taylor the bartender is speaking of? I'm kind of desperate."He said as he slipped his entire hand through one of the knife holes on his jacket.

Ashe snorted. "As if I'm not crazy already." She looked at the boy and smiled, almost wolfishly. "I'm here for two reasons: One, I'm curious about whats on the ship, and two, I've got a job to do that deals with what's on that ship. Though if I tell anymore I'll have to kill ya." She felt the air temperature drop and looked up at the sky. It was starting to become overcast, and fast. "All the better if it rains," she said.
