 "We leave now." he could see that River did not want to show the cub how much she was really hurt.
"We can learn on the way as well. The first important thing to learn is masking your passage..." He went on to explain as the two walked away from the pack & out of sight.((now it's just a matter of being on at the same time for main... I might be on late Wednesday -after 10/11pm est- or at least ~8pm on Thursday. we'll see.))

 Most of the wolves had left the lands for a while. She had sent Desert and Koen away and she had no idea where the others were but she wasn't worried about them. None were as young as they had once been. What she was worried about now though was the fat stomach that was giving her so much pain. She had been feeling ill for a while and had no idea what it was, her stomach had been getting fatter as well but the alpha knew nothing of pregnancy so put it down to eating too much.
She was laying in the den when the pains got a litle unbearable. She was crying, whimpering as the pains got worse. Her mate was somewhere, the darn thing why was he never around when she needed him. She cried more and more and then found she was breathing harder and harder, then pushing though she didn't know why.
After the first half hour had passed a head appeared, the head was of strange colours but soon the body came out and a redish pup was born. River looked at the pup curiously, not knowing quite how that happened but instinctivly took the pup and started to was it, showing that the pup seemed to have a green back like her fathers.
She continued to wash the pup, pains still harsh but not so bad. It was about another hour before the next pup came out, a blue head was visable and then a blue body as the pup came out, River repeated what she had done with the first pup.
The next pup came soon after the blue one. The green pup came out with ease and then the pains stopped. River let out a rather large breath and looked down at her three daughters.
All three resembled their father more then her but it was to be expected with diego's colouring. She smiled and laid her head down next to the three daughters who all seemed to be sleeping already, was so sweet!
It took about two hours before the pains came back to River. She couldn't understand why and she cried in surprise when they started again. It took a while for the last pup to come out. It was as if it didn't want to come out. When the pup was finally out she couldn't blame him for wanting to stay inside. After all he was the only boy! She smiled as she washed him down and then settled him down with his sisters. Laying her head down again she was certain now that her pups had been born and there were no more. She couldn't wait to show the pack her children. She wasn't too keen on sowing Diego his kids, especially as his wandering had meant he had missed the birth. That wolf wants to be an alpha, he has to start sticking around, it was annoying her.

 Diego had know something was up awhile ago with his poor mate River. Shaking his head he'd somewhat been a terrible mate and never really been there when she needed it. She'd really been the leader of the pack; not him. When it came down to it the pack was completly loyal to her, he was just some big loser along for the ride.
For some time now he'd been wandering and trying to 'find himself' so that when he returned he would be more responsible and able to take the weight off his mates paws somewhat, but the farther he walked the more he relized what kind of a mistake he was making. She needed him, and from the news of his squirrel friends she had gained alot of weight quickly. They of course blamed this as well on eatting to much, but this was only what they gathered from Rivers behavoirs; but Diego knew at that moment. If only he hadn't been so blind leaving her when she was preganant...but how was he supposed to know. When he had left she was fine.
The only problem was he had wandered so many miles at this point that it would take him quite awhile to return to her even at top speed. No matter, she was was worth the bloody paws and the scars. So with his head held up as high as posible he sang out in his strongest voice hoping that even at this distance she would hear.
I heard the news my'love. And I'm sorry about the distance, I though I needed to find myself...but I really needed you. I wish I would have learned this before I left. But I suppose it was for the best. Please forgive me. I'm comming home quickly as I can....
With that he turned on his paws and began to run back towards he faster then he ever ran before.

River slept around her pups happily. Her dreams sweet like they were before, everything nice, a mate, pups, a family. Though something was missing, her mate.
She woke with a start, checking her sleeping pups she stood up and walked to the cave entrance. She looked outside and then left the cave. Sitting in the cave entrance though just outside she raised her head to the dark sky and let out a lonely howl. The pack seemed to be off somewhere and she wanted someone with her while the pups slept. She didn't like being alone.

Diego traveled what must have been miles before finally reaching the santuary of his own pack terriory. His ear gave a light twitch hearing River and gave his own anwsering call back to her. It was a tired call but it was laced with certian happyness. Putting the last of his engery into his stride he bound towards Rivers cave smelling what either seamed to be a new kill or what he suppected the most...puppies.
When his supisions were confermed he could do no more then smile and run over to his mate with sudden joy. With his eyes flickering over his litter he really wished he would have had time to bring back a gift or at least food. Sighinghe lowered his head and vomited out the last reserves of what was in his stomach.
"I hope thats enough to hold you all for now. If you'd like I'll try and get you something bigger."
His tail wagged narrowly behind him knowing that River wasn't to happy with his absence from her body language.

She licked at her pups merely nodding to her mate. She had a fear inside her that she would be bringing up pups and looking after a pack on her own and it saddened her.
She rested her head down and let her eyes closed, she was too tired to think about eating and she needed sleep, Diego would have to watch the four pups for now, after all, he was their father and had to do some things with them, apart from turn them all insane!
