Jess turned so that Neasa could change in peace and walked to her old dresser and grabbed some clothes. Rosen stepped forward, bleeding from the wounds she had gotten earlier, "You have no chance in killing us, even if you wished too and there is no hope that we will just give up. I don't think we can even let you go." Jess stepped forward, listening to Rosen's words and threw the clothes to Neasa. Rosen twirled her blade and said to Neasa, "I don't want to harm you anymore then you want to harm Jess, but can't you see taht we have a little dilema?" That's when Rosen turned to Jess and said, "So what to do with her?" Jess shruged and said, "Uhm...I'm not entirely sure, Rose. Neasa...you should get dressed." Neasa now turned angry. "Don't think you can talk to me like that and don't think I'm so easy to kill just because you have me outnumbered."

"Neasa. Settle down. We are all on edge, there's no doubt about that. Now, get dressed." Jess said added a tinge of harshness to her last words, anger has been swelling up towards this girl for years, since she found out that she ran away from her father. Jess walked over to Rosen and saw that she was bleeding worse now than before, "Rose. Go clean up. We can't have you bleeding out." she was trying to sound less like a mother figure and more like a leader, but really she was concerned about what was going on at home..and less about the lycan in the basement staring at her.

Neasa turned from them, her face turning red from anger and embarrassment and a pout swept across her face. Somehow or another, she wasn't quite sure, but none of this was her fault. The fault HAD to be lain with someone else, but who's fault WAS it? With a sigh she quickly pulled the cloths on, too upset to pay attention to what she was wearing or what everyone else was doing. She grumbled silently to herself and kept herself turned away from everyone else, giving them a cold shoulder and the silent treatment. 'Of course they don't trust me, I'm their enemy... but it's just because they DON'T UNDERSTAND!' She thought to herself, glancing behind her at them with an eyebrow raised and a very childlike pout on her face.

Without realizing it, Sky had been slowly transforming during the battle. Now his claws could barely hold unto his knives and his boots was becoming uncomfortable. But by golly he was winning! A harsh laugh escaped his lips as he pierced through Logan's defenses for yet another moment, delivering a slight tap with bloody consequences. And then he heard it; the faint whine of sirens and knew that the kid had once more delivered.

"Ah screw it!"

He stepped back and rolled his eyes, chuckling as Logan regarded him warily.
The sirens couldn't be less than five block away at this point...Sky sheathed his knives and licked the cut by his lip.

"You know what? I've got direct orders to haul your hairy tail back to Him and I totally should..."

His smile turned mischievous at the widening of the lycan's eyes and he smiled derisively. looked like Alec could still affect him after all. He could stay and duke it out with Logan, the later was tiring fast as it was, and wouldn't that make Alec's day? But then a thread of malice entered his mind. Why should he go out of his way to make that happen?

Sky shrugged and took another step back, "But guess what? I'm not gonna do that." Logan's eyebrow shot up and he rolled his eyes. "Now don't go getting any ideas now; I hate your guts no less than I ever did and there's no way in hell I'm joining your side...Let's just say the thought of bringing you in so soon leaves me kinda...empty." He winked and laughed softly, a stab of apprehension striking him at the thought of what Alec would do with him when they got home but he shoved it away; Alec or no Alec, Sky would first and foremost be his own man.

"So you can thank me for my generosity next time we meet."

A half glance backward showed the trussed up vamp and he chuckled; perhaps the day wasn't a total bust after all.
"Pick up your toy Ebony, we're leaving."

The smoke bomb hit the ground while he spoke and from somewhere in the darkness his voice rang out once more, "Good luck explaining this to the authorities Logan!."

Ebony had just finished with tightening the bindings when Sky spoke to her: "Pick up your toy Ebony, we're leaving."
Frowning Ebony looked around at the lack of, well, successes AKA victims. Sure there was blood on the floor, they'd managed to make this dump even more into a trash pit, but there were no casualties, only injuries. Ebony's lips formed into a thin, displeased line, but she could hardly argue with the whine of sirens fast approaching. No matter, she had accomplished what Alec had set out for her, the others could face the retribution their lack of success incurred. Shrugging and sighing, Ebony hefted Jasper onto her shoulder, grunting when the full force of his weight landed onto it "and you said I needed to lose weight?" Ebony snickered.
Turning Ebony looked over to an injured Cursed and as they made eye contact she nearly took a back step, the glare he was giving her almost sent a shiver of discomfort through her vertebrae. Almost Ignoring the red haired lycan Ebony walked straight past him, following Sky to the exit. "Bye now, don't get too comfortable" Ebony threw over her shoulder, giving a laugh full of mirth as she did. Ebony could almost feel waves of animosity being sent both her and Sky's way as they left the building.

Logan snarled at the woman as she passed by. The only thing that kept him from going crazy was the fact that Jasper was still alive, and if they had plans of killing him he would already be dead.
Suddenly there was smoke billowing up into his face. Logan coughed and strained to see or smell any hint of the Rouges, but the smoke smothered all of his senses. By the time it had finally cleared they were gone and a hoard of police cars had crashed into the front lawn to replace them.
Logan moved to flee, his mind racing, when he remembered Ark. He dove to the side of the other Lycan and lifted him into his arms. And then the kitten mewed at his side, and with a defeated sigh he grabbed it too.
The cops were already crowding around outside. Logan had no idea how the Rouges had gotten away so fast, but he knew it wasn't going to be quite so easy for him. If he were alone he could have turned into a wolf, but with the unconscious Ark that was impossible.
Logan kicked down the back door and ran outside. There was a small cluster of trees just a short sprint away. If he could just make it there…
“Hold still!”
Logan didn’t look back, but the shots fired behind him told him that the cops were not entirely happy with his fleeing. He dove into the cover of the trees and didn’t stop there, running so fast his bare feet were sliced open by the underbrush.
The cover of trees didn’t last very long. Logan soon found himself out in the open street. His blood was creating a dotted trail behind him, and any Rouge with a nose could have followed him anyway. So Logan did the only thing he knew to do.
Logan saw the river looming in front of him. He padded up to the edge of the bridge when he reached it, and without a second thought dove into the water, letting the current sweep him and his cargo away.
He didn’t know how much time passed before he crawled back out again, soaked to the bone and hardly able to walk. Slowly he dragged himself to a payphone, Ark slung over one shoulder and the kitten perched shivering on the other.
He dialed the number and waited eagerly for the voice on the other end.
“Jess?” he rasped. “Where are you?”

Jess watched as Neasa turned and got dressed as she had instructed her to do. She was being childish and giving them the silent treatment now, she looked over her shoulder with an eyebrow raised and with a pout spread across her face. "Neasa..stop being so chi..." she was cut off by her cell phone ringing.. only those in the group knew her number. She quickly shoved her hand in her pocker and opened the phone and said, "Hello?!" A man said, "Jess?...Where are you?" Despite the raspiness of the voice on the other end, she knew it had to be Logan. "Logan! Are you alright?! Where is everybody?" Logan just repeated his question, "Where are you?" She tried to calm herself down, and took a deep breath, "Remember where I lived when you first found me? Yeah...there. Logan, there's a Rogue here. The one that I kicked into the wall, I don't know if you could see us. I knew her when she was a pup..she seems to be fine and says she doesn't want to hu.." Logan cut her off, "There's a Rogue there, Jess?!" Jess sighed and said, "If you would let me continue, I could handle her alone if you need help getting here...wait...Logan?" He sighed and said, "Yes, Jess?" She started to shake, "Who's with you?" He coughed on the other end of the phone, "I have an unconscious Ark on one shoulder...and Alice's cat on the other and the cops showed up to the warehouse..." It was Jess' turn to cut him off, "Where's Jasper, Logan?" He answered back, "..they got him, but he's still alive." Jess sighed, she was scared for him, "Logan.. I'll send Rose with medical supplies and she can help you all get here. I'll give the phone to her and you can tell her exactly where you are.. I'll stay here and keep an eye on the rogue and Alice." He said, "Alright, Jess...take good care of her..please." Jess smiled, though still keeping an eye on everyone in the room, "I will, Logan. Good bye." She handed the phone to Rose.

Jess turned completely towards the group, "Neasa. I understand you're angry with me right now but come here and sit on the bed, please. I can take a look at your wrist. Alice, dear, could you gather some medical supplies for Rose to bring to Logan?" Rose hung up the phone with Logan and walked over to Jess, "I know where he is...I'll go get them as soon as I get everything I need." Jess nodded and said, "Thank you, Rose." Alice walked over to the cabinet and grabbed everything she thought that Rose would possibly need and put it in a backpack she found on the floor and gave it to Rose. "Do you have everything that you need, Rosen? Your weapons?" She nodded and started towards to door that was on the opposite wall of the window and started on her way to get the boys.

"Alice, if you have any injuries, you should fix them up now." Jess looked over and saw Neasa was sitting on the bed and glaring at Jess, "Still angry, eh?" She walked over and gently grabbed her wrist and Neasa jumped, "b*****d got you good.."

Three Rogue's and one unconscious Cursed now sat in the Hummer as they headed back to the sky scraper dotted horizon. The car was dark and only the light from street lamps and other passing vehicles penetrated the gloom inside the Hummer. Sky was driving and Ronin was glaring out the window in the front passenger seat, and he held a piece of ripped cloth to his eye. Ebony sat in the back and made sure that the garroting wire she had left on Jasper wasn't going to cause him to bleed too much further and that the bindings around his wrists were secure enough. Jasper was pale and quite still, and numerous roads of blood adorned his face, some came from his nose and others from the scratches Ebony had inflicted. Glancing into the rear view mirror Ebony watched the other two Rogue's and she waited for one of them to break the silence.

Giving an exasperated and overly dramatic sigh Ebony shook her head and broke the silence. "Did either of you kill anybody? And where the hell is Neasa? Stupid little runt, probably got killed." The last part she muttered under her breathe, and Ebony imagined when she got home if she could use Neasa's room as storage, or as a sauna room. She began to smile at the thought but she broke away from her smile at the thought of Alec's reaction when they reported in. It probably wasn't going to be pleasant, all the Cursed as far as she knew were still alive and Ebony knew that Sky had been set on an assignment of his own as well, it looked as if he had failed that particular task. Also, as much as Ebony despised Neasa and her unkempt appearance and demeanor, she was a handy little thief and she wondered if the loss of her would anger Alec further. Abandoning these thoughts, Ebony looked back up and waited for the answers to her questions.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 06, 2008 7:40 pm

She closed her eyes and gritted her teeth, hissing in pain between her teeth. Neasa made herself laugh slightly, but it sounded a little weak. "Yeah, that's Ronin. He's kind of nice until you piss him off, though." She said, shrugging her shoulders and looking down, glaring a hole into the floor. She would not look at Jess, and she would not, absolutely not, say anything bad about the other Rogue's or give anything away. Still, this was Jess, and there was that little tiny part of herself that wasn't angry, but there was a lot of herself that felt angry and slightly betrayed.

It took everything in Rosen’s power not to start running down the street after Logan. She had to walk calmly so that she wouldn’t look suspicious, just as he had instructed. She rolled her eyes. It was typical of him to give orders even when he was in such a state.
It took her half an hour to find him. He was slumped against a wall in the alleyway across from the pay phone. His eyes were closed, but they flicked open at her approach.
Rosen knelt down at Logan’s side, sliding off the pack and zipping it open as she did so. She paused, not quite sure where to start.
Logan shook his head. “Check out the kid first.”
She looked over at the unconscious Ark and nodded. “Alright.”
Rosen crawled up to his side and touched his neck to check his pulse. She let out a sigh of relief.
“He is just exhausted. He has developed a slight fever, but with some rest he will get better.”
She stitched up the few wounds that he did have before going back over to Logan. He didn’t say anything as she set to work stitching the large wound on his abdomen.
“You have a fever too. We need to get you inside and in dry clothes.”
“It’s nothing compared to Jasper,” he said grimly and then was silent once more.
Rosen didn’t attempt to make any more conversation as she cleaned the rest of his wounds. She would have stitched the wound above his eye but there was too much skin missing from the area. There was no point in fixing up the others; werewolves healed to quickly for it to have much effect.
Together Logan and Rose hoisted Ark, balancing him between them. Rose shoved the kitten into her pocket.
It took them double the time to get back. Rosen knocked a few times before coming in so she wouldn’t startle anyone. Logan had assured her that they weren’t being followed so it was safe to go straight to the door.
Once in they gently set Ark on the long couch. Logan crumpled into a chair in the kitchen without a word, instantly closing his eyes.
“Jess, do you have any blankets? They both have fevers,” Rose said quietly. It looked as though Logan had already fallen asleep, but every few seconds he would pick his head up and look around wildly as if he were still in the fight.

Jess watched as they filed into the basement and got up off of the couch so that they could lay Ark down. "Poor kid.." Then Logan crumpled into one of the chairs in the kitchen. "Why didnt' I ever bring these over to the warehouse?...They're better quality.." "Jess, do you have any blankets? They both have fevers," Rose asked her quietly. Jess nodded and walked over to a cabinet in the livingroom/bedroom and grabbed 2 blankets. She drapped one over Ark and he twiched, "You're okay, Ark. You're safe." She then walked over to Logan, who was half asleep, and placed the blanket around his shoulders, "Logan...you're safe now. Alice is safe too. You're going to be alright." She looked at Rose, "You did good, do you need help taking care of your wounds...you're still bleeding pretty badly."

Alice sat on the floor, trying to get a grip.
She had heard the phone conversation between Logan and Jess.
Jasper was gone, and Logan hurt.
And yet she couldn't help but think..They shouldn't have to protect me...
Alice felt to her shin where two throwing daggers where strapped in.
Next time...if there is a next time. I'm going to fight.
But her thoughts didn't comfort her much. Especially when Logan came back. She felt her stomach lurch and she saw the stitches on his side.
And she swore he was asleep before he hit the chair, but Alice could see the sleep was shallow and restless.
Alice stood from her position on the floor and walked over to the cellar wall. and leaned against it. It was damp, and she could feel the cement begin to crumble. Curious, Alice proded a small hole with her finger, widening it with ease. No one seemed to be paying attention so Alice continued to pick at the corner. She didn't know why she was doing it, maybe just for something to do.
Though despite the cement having been so softened, it was still harsh and grainy, eventually causing her finger to blister. But she didn't even notice. Her mind was far away.
"....Alice." She heard Jess say, but it didn't register until the second time.
"Alice?" Alice looked up confused, then looked at the small bloody hole she had been picking at.

((Sorry All, I have been kinda busy. So my post is pretty lame.))

Neasa rose from where she had been sitting and moved into the corner of the room, backing up into it and then sitting down, pulling both knees to her chest. Her wolf instincts had always been so strong, maybe it was because she was born this way, but at that moment in time they were only telling her one thing: she was in unknown territory, surrounded by an unknown pack, and she was outnumbered. Neasa wasn't scared, the hurt Cursed didn't scare her at all, but she knew suddenly that she couldn't just get up and leave. After all, she was a Rogue, and she knew where the Cursed leader was right now, where the sick and injured members were hiding. They would be stupid to let her go, because after all, she could so easily tell the others.

She put her head into the top of her knees and let out a long sigh. What trouble she got into on her own! She almost wished she had been able to turn into a killer, it would probably hurt her so much less if she could've just killed them all the moment she crashed through the window, she had never been able to before and she could never do it now. Neasa stared blankly at the floor infront of her feet, letting her mind drift. She knew she was in trouble now, and she didn't even have her comm link anymore.

Rosen turned away from Jess.
“No thank you, I can care for myself just fine.”
She walked over to the twin of Logan’s chair and slipped into it, setting her pack down on the small table. She unzipped it and pulled out her surgical needle and thread, weaving them in and out of her skin just as she had done for Logan. This was the first time she had had to do it for herself, however, and it made her wince.
Rose stared down at her abdomen where the now-cleaned wound was. This had been her first fight with the Cursed and it hadn’t gone well at all. And worst of all, she had hardly gotten to help. Next time, Rose promised herself, she would fight beside her team, not cower in the shadows.

Through the fog of his mind Logan could hear Jess’s voice.
“You’re going to be alright.”
He opened his eyes and looked around. She was already across the room speaking in a low voice to Rose.
“Jess?” He called, fidgeting and causing the blanket to fall off. “Jess, we need to talk…”
Jess looked up at him in concern and came to his side.
“Logan, it can wait. You really need to rest…” She said, lifting the blanket back onto his shoulders.
But Logan shook his head. “I tried to get to him, I swear. But Sky was blocking me and a woman had a wire around his neck. He was unconscious when they took him. But he is alive, Jess. They want to keep him alive.”
Jess’s eyes lit up, but whether it was from anger or relief he could not be sure.
“Let me go get him,” she said quickly. “Please Logan, I can-”
“No,” he said firmly. “They most likely want Jasper alive for a trade, but there is nothing stopping them from killing you the minute they see you.”
“But Logan-”
“No,” he said again, but his voice had gotten softer. “In the morning, when everyone is well rested, then we can think up a plan. No sooner.”
Jess nodded feebly, the anger never leaving her eyes.
Logan watched her walk away sadly before dragging himself out of the chair and crashing down at Alice’s side. He lifted an eyebrow at the bloody hole in the wall.
“You take self-mutilation to a whole new level,” he said with a quiet chuckle.
“You should be a little more careful. Don’t forget that you are in the presence of vampires now. Though they would never hurt you, it doesn’t do well to taunt them.”
Logan couldn’t help but frown after the words left his mouth. Jasper always had some smartass comment after almost everything Logan said. He found himself waiting for Jasper to burst through the door any minute now and laugh about how easily they were all fooled, how they had all thought he was in trouble when really he was out getting milkshakes.
Logan smiled sadly at the thought.

As Jess asked Rosen if she needed help taking care of her wounds, Rosen turned away and said, "No thank you, I can care for myself just fine." Jess watched as Rose sat down at the table and began stitching herself up. Then she heard Logan speak, "Jess?..Jess we need to talk." She looked up in concern and walked over to his side and put the blanket around his shoulders again, "Logan it can wait, you need to rest.." Logan shook his head and told her the thing she dreaded hearing, "I tried to get to him, I swear. But Sky was blocking me and a woman had a wire around his neck. He was unconscious when they took him. But he is alive, Jess. They want to keep him alive." Jess' emotions took a strange turn...she was worried because she knew they wouldn't treat him well, angry for many reasons, sad because..well that's self-explanitory, happy because he was still alive, and a whole different range of emotions she couldn't explain. "Let me go get him, Logan. Please..I can..." He cut her off again, and said firmly, "No. They most likely want Jasper alive for a trade, but there is nothign stopping them from killing you the minute they see you." Jess looked down firmly at the ground, fighting tears, "But Logan.." He looked at her again, his voice softer, "No. In the morning when everyone is well rested, then we can think up a plan..No sooner." Jess nodded, weakly and sadly and walked away and sat down on the floor at the foot of the bed.

"It was all your fault..you know that right? If he hadn't tried to save you he might've gotten away..but no you had to be a little pansy girl who couldn't take care of yourself. You should seriously just go and exchange yourself for him...you do have their precious Neasa..it might work. No.. I can't..." Tears began to swell up in her eyes. That's when they began to fall as she began to think about what had just happened and looked at her wrist and thought again, "This is all your fault."She looked over to Neasa, who was letting out a long sigh and suddenly remembered that she still needed to talk to Logan about something. She stood up and wiped the tears away from her eyes, which were now swollen.

She walked over to Alice and Logan and looked down at Alice's finger and the bloody hole in the wall. "Aw...sweetie don't hurt yourself.." she said with a grim face, and they looked at her with concern and knew she was just crying. Her tone fell quiet, "Logan don't forget that we still have a Rogue here.. what are we going to do about her?"

Unbeknownest to the rest of the Cursed, Syvra had made her way back to the warehouse but not in time to help. She'd felt ashamed with how she'd run out, but she was determined not to let anybody else know. She'd bluster and snarl and explain that the wrist she'd torn open in the hunger had hurt a little more than she'd thought it would and the wind had been a bit too much for her eyes since she'd blasted outside. But when she stuck her head outside the manhole, (the sun was down enough so the light didn't hurt so much) she saw the smoke from the bomb that Sky had let off and instantly knew something wasn't right. She saw a couple of people she didn't know hurry out, and as she inhaled their scent, she knew them for what they were. A woman had someone slung over her shoulder, and as she focused her sight, she realized who it was. She quickly ducked back under the cover of the manhole she was in. She hadn't seen any of the Cursed following the Rouges. Syvra made a split-second decision and as the mysterious hummer drove off, she darted up the side of one of the warehouse walls and followed it, running and jumping from rooftop to rooftop. She grabbed her cell phone and held down one until the speed dial activated. She kept running, her boots punishing the cement rooftops until she heard the other line pick up. "Logan! Logan are you there? Answer me!"
