Alwyn jumped when the voice came on. She nearly knocked her glass over in the process of taking her tray to be washed. She then made her way up to auditorium following most of the students as she went. Not one for big crowds she kept blinking from visible to invisible back to visible trying to maintain control and not shrink into herself. She found a seat in the middlteof the auditorium. It allowed her to be able to see what was going on and would make it easier for her to hear as well.

Hearing the announcement, Aya slowly raised from her seat. "Well, I guess it's time for that orientation you've been talking about Lite." she said. "We'd better hurry or it will soon be packed." She looked toward the already crowding stairs and sighed. She began walking in that direction, hoping that her sudden change in mood wouldn't affect anyone if she happened to be squished next to anyone.

"That... could work, yes. It might not be the same, but I guess it's a start." She smiled, much more genuinely than the usual ones she threw up just to stop people from bugging her. "I just never really thought that anbody would go to the trouble. It seems like people would rather just skirt the chore of coming to know someone again every day, so I kind of just decided not to give people the option for the sake of simplicity."
She didn't want to be nosy, but curiousity consumed her and she leaned just a little bit to look at the diary, finding only that it was in something that didn't even look like a language. She leaned back again, chuckling a little and shrugging. "Are you encoding it to keep people from reading it, besides you? That's really thoughtful, if that's the case; I... really don't want other people to know, even if you turned out to be an exception. As far as anybody else knows, I'm only Erin and they days I'm Aaron I'm in my room, sick from my medical condition."
At that, however, the announcement rang throughout campus. Erin jumped up, hurriedly looking around for her shoes before looking over at Arkell. "In any case, we've got to go. I'm sure you can keep writing during the announcement, and you're not going to forget me at all. I'm guessing you've already written about the memory loss? It'll stay fresh in your mind for a while, without something actively attacking your memory like I do in my other form... the auditorium's kinda far, so let's hurry!" She finds her shoes, puts them on, and waits at the door.

Arkell grinned, pleased with herself. When Erin leaned over, curious, about her diary she merely laughed. "Yeah, me and my old friends made up our own alphabet so we could write notes to each other in class without the teachers or anybody else knowing what we wrote." When the voice came over the speaker she jumped and her body momentarily burst in flames out of fear of the disembodied voice. She looked over sheepishly at Erin and scratched the back of her head laughing nervously.
She hopped up looking back at the soot marks on the floor and wincing. She'd help her clean them when they got back from the meeting. She turned back to Erin and gave her a smile. "I'd do just about anything just to get you to smile like you did just now, thats what friends do, right?" Arkell held out her hand to shake Erin's before bouncing her way down the hall to start bolting to the auditorium. That was until she remembered that Erin probably would run with her and so she ran back to the entrance to the building and waited for her to get down there.

Erin, about to shout after Arkell when she bounded out the door, was relieved to find that she came back to wait. She finished slipping her shoes on, closed and locked her door and started walking hurriedly, not wishing to be late.
Her mind wandered as she walked, the excersise making her mind want to work even harder than usual. Was this a good thing, someone knowing and keeping a diary? She could only hope so; Arkell didn't seem like the blackmail type, and even if she was there was nothing to prove any of it. It would just make things far more difficult... but no. Never. Sincerety like that you couldn't fake, and it wasn't too long ago when she'd had friends; she could still tell the difference. She was just being paranoid.
Breaking out of her pensive rantings, she spotted Logan up ahead. She waved, though she immediately realized that it was a stupid thing to do to someone whose back is turned to you, and also spoke up. "Hello, there." She wasn't quite sure what else to say, so she shut up and kept walking, making sure not to draw too close as they neared the auditorium.

Logan blinked as he heard Erin's voice behind him. He almost stopped to look, but that would make him bump into Arkell, so he kept walking, shifting to walk beside the two females, rather then ahead of them a bit rudely. "Have a nice... chat?" he asked, unsure what he would describe it. It was an explanation of a chat that had occurred earlier during the day, which was forgotten, so an explanation of powers were in need as well. Yeah, that.
Looking ahead for a moment, he looked at the other two again. "By the sounds of things, this meeting is going to be a bit long. I wonder what the headmistress has planned." he voiced his thoughts aloud, trying to be friendly, even when standing a few feet -away- from the other two. They got to the cafeteria, and he led the way up the stairs with the other students, and through the minor hall, taking a pause to look down at the cafeteria area over the railing that was there, and then up at the window directly in the center of the roof. "Always so crowded..." he murmured, rubbing his head a bit. Even with his clothing, he was getting bumped enough by people to irritate his headache.
"I'll see you two later." Logan called to Erin and Arkell as he waited for the human flow to wane down a bit so he could get in without feeling claustrophobic trying to get into the door.

Arkell waved goodbye to Logan as he went off, apparently to find a seat, she didn't know either way. She looked over at Erin and gave her a nervous smile. All these people around her, who she didn't know, her tic came back at full strength causing her arms and body to shake like a leaf. So many people. What if I combust? I'll end up hurting people again, I don't want that to happen. If I end up hurting people I'll never get any friends... The little voice in her head kept nagging constantly about all the things that could go wrong, reading into people who seemed to look at her with a strange expression on their face, feeding her lies that they probably thought she was a freak and didn't like her.
NOT TRUE! She countered, Erin likes me and so does Aaron...I've made a friend today and I haven't managed to hurt them the only thing she heard in reply was 'Yet' and that thought caused her to whimper and fall in upon herself. Her face looked riddled with panic as she froze shaking in the hallways as the people swarmed around her. She could feel her skin start to tingle, a tell tale sign that she would end up combusting. "No, no, no, no...."

Erin also waved, smiling a bit in a feeble attempt to express understanding before being pushed onward by the masses. Mutants or not, people were people and sometimes they were just so anxious to get from point A to point B that they completly ignored the fact that there was no urgency related to their destination.
Her thoughts were interrupted, however, when she noticed Arkell shaking badly, her hair sparking a little. She recognized that stance, if not what the hair indicated; this was someone who was in a room full of people but felt completly, utterly alone. She began to reach a hand out, but flinched back at the thought of getting burned. Facepalming mentally, largely because that was exactly what Arkell was afraid of, Erin prepared herself for any sort of heat, took something of a breath and put her hand at the small of Arkell's back.
She was very hot, like a mug of cocoa left too long in one's hand, but Erin bit her tongue and began pushing her gently from behind to an unoccupied row, guiding her to the end of the row and taking a seat beside her before moving her hand, putting it on the cool arm of the seat to dissapate some of the heat and looking over. "You alright? Don't worry about anything... everybody's nervous. I'm nervous." She paused, smiling meekly. "Real nervous, actually. I don't even have any abilities like yours, but I bet I could turn as red as your hair if I get mentioned for anything."

She was being guided through the sea of people around her, and she didn't offer much resistance to the push of direction. It was getting her out of a bad situation that could have only been made worse. She looked over at Erin who had saved her from setting a multitude of peoples worlds on fire, probably at the cost of burning herself or something. She she had finally sat down in the seat she looked away from her. "Are you alright? Did I burn you?" she said in almost a whisper.
She heard what she was saying, knew she was trying to make her feel better, but it didn't seem to really work. She cracked a small smile as saying she would turn as red as her hair, but that was it. It wasn't about being nervous...well it was about being nervous, but a different kind of nervous than what she thought Erin was talking about. Though she was sure if she did get called up for anything to stand in front of her fellow students she probably would combust and set the whole place a flame if it wasn't protected like her dorm was.

"Indeed," Sam replied, also rising from his seat. To Lite, he said, "I think you and I will be great friends. If you can keep up, that is." He gave a friendly smile and followed after Aya, on the way to the auditorium. Ah, orientation... he thought. Such a dreadful waste of so much time of my life. Time that I'll never get back, no matter how hard I try. Hm. Well, maybe this year's programme will be a little better.
Finally getting to the auditorium doors, Sam found a set of three empty seats in the back row and sat in the second chair in. He waited for Aya and Lite to sit on either side of him. It's only fitting, as they're my newest friends.

Alwyn sat in her chair watching the people around her. Every now and then she would dissappear but she kept willing herself into visiability if only to keep from having another person sit on her. it had happened twice withing the last few minutes.

Huilliam was led into the main antrance and told to wait where he was. He took a seat and sighed. So this was Pacius.... It was much nicer to look at than the last " special" school he went to. In his absent mindedness he let down his control over his skins colour and it turned blue again. Sttrangely no one screamed. "Ah, how sweet the silence is." he said, to no one in particular.

Watching the two leave his side from the seats in the cafeteria, Lite was confused as to where they were going. Not being aware that there was an overhead announcement, he continued his meal. "Bear, where did everyone go!? And did you hear that, Bear? Sam said we were going to be friends, neat huh? I think so." He talked to Bear quietly, than decided to take the remainder of his meal upstairs, about ten or fifteen feet behind everyone else. Unaware of the meaning of the word "rush", Lite opened the doors to the auditorium. "Woah, Bear. Look at all the kids! Did you know that the kids here have super hero powers? I wonder what they all can do! I wish I had a super power, man. Other than surfing and being lazy, haha!" he spoke, the people around him thinking he had an imaginary friend. Lite rested Bear from his shoulder onto his dread-locked head. Woah, there's Sam, he said we'd be friends so I'll go sit over there. Lite made his way over to Sam's row, but was unable to make his way through the isle. He floated over the students in his way and sat down to Sam's left. "I wonder what everyone's doing here," he asked rhetorically.

Aya walked into the auditorium and searched for an empty seat. Seeing Sam and Lite, she headed towards them. Better to be by someone I know, than someone I don't. She waited patiently for the aisle to clear of students. Seeing that it wasn't anytime soon, she sighed and merged into the crowd. Thankfully, it was in the back row, making it easier to get through. She finally sat down and folded her hands in her lap. "What do you think the surprise will be?" she asked curiously.

By the time the announcement was made, Matt was already mostly through his meal. Yup, as per the usual. Quickly consuming what was left on his plate, he brought his tray over to the dish pit. Turning, he shuffled with the crowd upstairs to the Auditorium. He found a seat amidst the crowd, a few individuals displaying their abilities while waiting. So, what's the surprise this year?
