The floor trembled as Light finished storing the last of Senther's equipment and creations. Light wasn't exactly sure how the storage system functioned but he didn't need to understand it to know how useful they were. Glancing back to Senther, he'd put the metallic slabs into his inner coat pocket for now as he reached over his shoulder again to grip Fuuinshin with his left hand. Senther seemed prepared to fight but his doubt was more than obvious. The half-angel pushed his shades up once and stepped forward to approach the unfamiliar warrior and perhaps form a mutual alliance, despite that he knew nothing of this man.

"The three of us may not know each other...but it's clear who the enemy is...Inferno."

Light's eyes peered over the rim of his shades, meeting Inferno's glare with an intent and piercing stare. No remorse? No sign of sadness? Was Light so cold as to consider the old Inferno dead that he would show no emotion towards the new Vaste Lorde? Light's emotions would not be seen in his eyes. Some things took more than ones eyes to see. As the heat rose, Light's white coat ruffled slightly as a warm gust swept out from the half-angel as he expanded his own energy to make it more potent. The air around him hissed as if a serpent had been rudely awakened. It was only then would everyone feel how Light felt.

This feeling was that of respect. The atmosphere was tense but with good reason. Light had encountered Inferno, a comrade, a friend who he thought to be dead. And now they were on opposite sides of things. Indeed he respected Inferno and wouldn't retreat. He was determined to do whatever he could for Inferno and figure out a way to try and save him.

And there was no way that would happen without a fight.

User Image Takehitsu hurried himself. He had four of the tubes set up bubbling with a green liquid form. In truth it was a coolant but most people had no knowledge of the advanced technology he was using. In fact he doubted anyone would be able to understand it. He looked at the bomb satisfied and then began sticking small knives in the ground in a circle. This was a quick process and stepping back a bubble boomed to life surrounding the bomb. This was a forcefield that would hopefully hold against most attacks. Unseen it also went below the ground and slowly at first the blades began to spin untill it would be spinning faster and faster. Takehitsu then looked back the earlier explosion was gone and he had a good idea of what had happened. If Halibel had truly spereated from Inferno he would probably be looking at her now.

Halibel simply stood there watching everyone still at the front door but inside as well being able to see everyone and everyone being able to see her. Halibel was one of the most Hidden Vaste Lorde seeing as she never did combat with any of these or in front of them, Even Light who did battle with the Vaste Lorde would know nearly nothing of her but her knowing everything thanks to the synchronized Information in all of them, Even if Light had changed and got better moves and skills, It mattered not to Halibel. Her arms crossed under her breast she just looked around the arena. She simply scoffed at Takehitsu and looked at his bomb, Takehitsu greatly was helping them out with the bomb, He thought he was foiling the Vaste Lorde's plans but he was only accelerating their plan and aiding them greatly. Takehitsu was a Vaste Lorde not long enough to know anything about even the low ranked ones. Halibel just watched and watched everyone. She saw as Inferno was struggling and as a fellow Vaste Lorde she could feel his struggle inside but as long as Halibel was around he would not lose himself to the goodside and continue on the Vaste Lorde side. She just stood there.. And watched.

Inferno stood there, locked in a stare with Light. Inferno's outfit was now still and his hand stopped twitching. Suddenly if Light was pay attention to his eyes something spark within them. No, it was no eye technique but a link to the insider of Inferno's soul which was being pulled into something....a void. Inferno's headache was finally over with, and he was now going though the final stage of becoming a true Vaste Lorde. Halibel was on guard making sure nothing would interrupt it. Inferno had no fighting chance, he soon discovered a new kind of pain that he couldn't feel anymore. he soon discovered why David fell victim, because try as one might it was impossible. The feeling from Inferno was now much different, and it only took moments. What accelerate this? It was breaking him down, where was the rebel inside? Was Inferno now forever lost, who was standing before Light and Senther now?

A controlled monster, that is what was in front of them. One going though the final stage of the Vaste Lorde becoming. Inferno's eyes were empty now, but only for a moment before it was quickly filled with a deep hatred. Something that may have been dormant for who knows how long. Inferno's hands form into fist as his arms curled back. His legs bent and move apart from one another as something began to form in the center of his chest. A tiny sphere, orange. It grew to the size of a baseball. The air around Inferno was intense and radical now. Inferno's eyes never looked away from Light. That little sphere was something new to the others, but not Light. It was Inferno's cero. As it completed it's self Inferno's fist had red lightning forming within his palms, sparking and crawling around his forearms. "Don't hold back on my account."

It was a hint Inferno was skipping the warm up. If anyone could sense Inferno's energy readings, they would see it go though the roof. "Welcome to obliteration!" , with that said Inferno's cero launched as Inferno's arms swung forward releasing an destructive wave of his own raw power. The cero won't get a chance to hit anyone because Inferno would blow it up himself to add to it's destructive capabilities. Senther, Light and everyone else in front of Inferno and Halibel would take witness to something massive. The entire half of the other side of the Dome Arena would be blown from the map. Inferno had indeed skipped the warm and unleashed his wrath. The shock waves to follow were enormous as they were spreading out from the explosion. The walls of the Dome and the entire building were hit so hard, they were in pieces and nothingness before thrown off into the explosion.

Nothing would be left standing in front of Inferno. Light and the other had a single warning before Inferno gave them a small taste of what he was now capable of. There wasn't even falling rumble or anything. As the smoke and dust pushed aside and clear in front of Inferno, Inferno waved his hand across making the smoke move to the side and out of his view as if he was moving the curtains of a showcase. The aftermath would be horrible. Inferno knew it won't finish off Light and Light was the type of hero to make sure everyone would have been safe from such an incredible blast. how noble thought Inferno expecting such actions. The blast did more than complete destroy a whole half of the arena in a blink of an eye, but it left a smoking trail behind that travel almost a good mile. After his arm waved across, it rest at his side once again. He stood there in a more direct pose, one that said 'Play time is over, amuse me'.

"HAAAAAAAAAH!!"

Light roared as he swung Fuuinshin down from his shoulder the moment Inferno launched his cero. Although it was unexpected that it had exploded instead of continued straight on, the destruction to the arena would further continue as Fuuinshin glowed with a magnificent dark purple aura. The giant fangs head of a serpent formed as Light crashed the thick blade into the ground, the air hissing further as the heat gathered into Light's nightshade and exponentially increased Fuuinshin's power. Fight fire with fire as they say, so by creating an explosion of his own, the shockwave and destructive force that erupted out of Fuuinshin would collide with Inferno's cero, splitting the explosion which would violently spread out further but ultimately prevent Senther and the unknown fighter from being harmed.

The ground continued to tremble and shake as the aftermath of Light and Inferno's chaotic start easily spread throughout the city of Riverrun. No such power had ever been displayed by the half-angel. He was notably different in strength and would keep his gaze fixed to Inferno's eyes as the dust cleared away. Light's coat ruffled wildly from the gust that whipped past everyone from the explosion, just before settling down along with the dust. Light's blue eyes would not leave Inferno just yet. He wanted him to know, to feel how determined he was. Even if he was nothing more than a tool now. Seeing the large crack in the ground was very much the relationship of the two fighters now. Simply Inferno was on their side and Light was not. The void within was what mattered. What Inferno used to have was what Light would attempt to return to him. But could it be recovered?

"Show me how fierce your flames burn...Let's see just what you gained by relinquishing your life. Senther, you better make your shot count. You'll only get one."

Light shouted back to the dark elf and glanced to the other fighter as well as to Halibel. Indeed he knew little to nothing of her, except that she was of high rank. But that was plenty information, granted it would not seem that she would be fighting yet. So for now Light would concentrate on Inferno. Light would push his shades up once more and gladly oblige to not holding back. Now that the sky was exposed, Light would snap his fingers, harnessing the unfathomable amount of UV rays the sun was emitting. A flash of light erupted about 20feet above Inferno as light particles formed and gathered around one focal point, each UV ray easily being turned into visible light. They would oscillate and amplify in power as Light turned the UV rays into one powerful and giant laser that encompassed a good 5 foot radius. Light would start by launching the blast down upon Inferno as he waited for the right moment to follow up.

The heat so far had yet to bother the half-angel, thanks to his coat and his stardust armor. But he knew it could get much much worse. Regardless things were most definitely heating up within the first moments of the fight.

Inferno never looked away from Light, and knew as well as expect nothing less from his old comrade. The picture was clear, and things were heating up. Inferno saw how Light was focusing on keeping the others safe, this would only be a hazard to Light's health. Because with an opponent like Inferno around, things were bond to go boom. As Vaste Lorde, Inferno was not capable of having the same honor has he once had, but anything was a target now to him. Inferno raised his left hand towards the sky. Again he could sense the energy of Light's attack and therefore won't be taken off guard. The laser hit dead on into Inferno's palm but that is as far as it would go. It did nothing to Inferno's hand, what was the deal here?

Inferno's hand didn't even flinch as the laser hit dead on, and was redirected towards the ground as Inferno used his hand to force it in to another direction. The ground on his left was sliced open due to this. Inferno's defenses has improved a great deal. Inferno's palm actually opened up to allow fresh lava to quickly form flat within his palm and super cool with rapid heat loss into a mirror surface. Light had no idea, but Inferno was actually carrying his own supply of lava within him. A new ability of the being a Vaste Lorde. That lava holds different metals and materials. As Light knows, the body of a Vaste Lorde is nothing more than a void, an shell if you will. For Inferno, this is his means of storing unknown amounts of lava and other earth base materials. What did this mean? It means Light was going to have to try alot harder. Inferno lowered his arm now to where it was facing Light. A grin appeared on Inferno's face behind his mask.

"LAVA PRISON!!", This would shock any opponent due to the fact it was a signature technique of Inferno. Suddenly A grand amount of Lava blasted up all around Light, and rapidly went to in casing him to preform that attack. Light knew very well of how dangerous that attack was if caught within it. Where did the lava come from? Inferno not only can release lava from his palms, but anywhere on his body including the bottom of his feet. He secretly was pouring lava into the ground and tunneling under to Light's location. The Lava Prison would trash the half angel if Light was caught off guard. Inferno would watch as be prepare for a decent counter from Light. Light was right to not worry about Halibel for he would have his hands full dealing with Inferno...

Though leaving Halibel alone could possibly be even a worse mistake they can make..

Smirking, Light found Inferno's new defense to be quite formidable. This would surely be an intense match as Inferno was well known to have a very strong defense. And now it had increased even more! What was even more intriguing was that right off the bat, Inferno's finisher came out. Just how much power did he have that his finisher now became an opening move? The half-angel would simply have to find out as he only kept smirking at Inferno.

The lava prison oozed up around Light but it had actually started to fade in color. In fact the lava had even started to cool down! It's movement was slower than it was meant to be and would conflict with the cooling temperature around it. The nightshade from earlier was still laced around Fuuinshin as well as spread around him in a very thin field of mist that only now thickened when the lava arose. Heat, electricity, light, spiritual based energies were nothing but food to the corruption inside of him. And unlike when he was in Hueco Mundo, Light now had a firm control of this power. Granted just the Nightshade would not be enough to stop Inferno.

"Ha-"
Slashing Fuuinshin to his left, Light would force his way out of the cooling lava, forcing a gap to be made in the prison before too much had risen up to trap him so that he could leap out quickly and safely.
"That won't be enough to stop me..."
Light would then start walking towards Inferno as he dragged Fuuinshin on the ground. It scraped as Light picked up the pace towards his former comrade. He didn't know many people who would rush head strong into the maw of hell itself. Yet Light was quickly closing the distance between the two as he held out his right palm. The area around his hand grew dark as the light around his arm drew into one point above his palm. Again he would launch another stream of light, much smaller than the first one but just as powerful and focused onto a smaller point. It was meant to try and pierce into Inferno's skin instead of incinerate him as Light closed in.

"Indeed...", replied Inferno standing there with his palm still facing Light. He wasn't surprised to see Light overcome the prison. It actually pleased Inferno and showed such how much Light himself has improved considering that same move had almost finished Light off along time ago. Light would now begin to walk towards Inferno. Inferno knew Light was either one of two things. One, he has a plan and a very good one at that. Two, hes lost his mind and wants Inferno to assist his suicide. Light fired his light beam again but much smaller, once again Inferno's palm caught it, for it still has the mirror surface. The light was reflect and redirected towards the right of Inferno. Inferno would await for Light to get a little closer, he was curious to see what Light had up his sleeve, or was his old comrade bluffing?

Light was about 15 feet away by now and would smirk again at how Inferno deflected his attack. He too had learned how to deal with the light but as Inferno knew all too well, the half-angel was always planning something.

Clenching his fist, the small laser actually started to fade a bit. Its bright white glow softening into a more pale yellow as he allowed the mirrored surface to scatter and spread the light out in a wide area to the right of Inferno that would engulf his right arm easily. Now the laser was no longer a simple beam of amplified light. It had changed into radio waves while a small part of the attack became harmless visible light. But wherever that light was, the radio waves would be passing through Inferno. Light's attack was meant to pierce into Inferno and it would do just that. Obviously at the moment it was harmless but that would all change as Light approached the 5 foot mark and snapped his fingers. Inferno's right side was about to be turned into swiss cheese as the half-angel quickly amplified the radio waves and changed their wavelength once again into visible light, again conjuring now several lasers from that one. Inferno would have little time to react but it was quite possible.

At the same time Light would sweep Fuuinshin forward and thrust it towards Inferno's knees, the five foot distance easily closed by the length of Light's weapon. The odd thing was that the half-angel appeared to slant as he attacked.

Inferno allowed Light to keep moving forward, see if Light was bluffing. It was unlike Light to bluff but you never know. Inferno saw Light snap his fingers and then were were a bunch of slashes here and there. After they were done, tiny bits here and there would fall from Inferno's right side. To Light, this meant Inferno pulled another signature move. The move where he leaves a thin hollow shell behind. Even Inferno's energy took a spike down. It was a clever trick of Inferno, and often use to trap an opponent in a counter. Light would know this move all too well. But just it, he didn't know it at all.

Inferno made it seem like he did that, but it was a trap inside a trap. All Inferno did was have lava quickly form around his entire body and become a rapid thin yet incredibly durable shield at the reaction of Light's finger snaps. Those waves would slash and cut and bits here and there would fall off, but that wasn't a hollow shell like anyone who knew Inferno would think it to be. When Light's sword hit Inferno's knees, there was an unknown force that stopped it at the knees. That 'hollow' shell shattered as Inferno was the surprise waiting inside. His energy was still spiked down, and hidden but only before an orange color cero fired from the middle of his chest point blink straight at Light's head. This was a surprise counter attack, and not just one but another. That unknown force was then made clear after the cero.

Around Inferno's knees was a pulsing energy, one of Inferno's transparent octagon barriers would push outward in attempts to shove Light right into the cero for an even better critical hit. This shove was a very weak one however due to the Light's sword hitting it. Even if the cero missed, it would hit the ground and leave a crater. Which would take out alot of the floor on the other half of the arena that was still left standing. Slowly but surely, Inferno's Battle Dome Arena was being leveled. Takehitsu's bomb didn't even have a chance to go off due to the fact it would have been caught in Inferno's and Light's opening attacks. Inferno stood there, as another defense around him was visible. Waves of super heated plasma were crawling up and down around him. "Thats it?!", said Inferno while being a little disappointed. "Surely you can do better!", yelled Inferno taunting Light.

Light's eyes widened as he realized what had just happened. He knew Inferno wouldn't just stand there and take a hit but to think his substitution move would be used just then was unsettling. It was apparent now that Inferno's previous tactics were far more easier to pull off. But was was this thing that was supposed to push at Light? Whatever it was, the cero had fired at point blank and streamed through the battle dome and Light himself. Surely no one could survive such an attack to the head. In fact it was overkill. But instead of an incinerated body all that was left was the empty air and the knowledge that Inferno had attacked a perfect illusion of not only his image but his very presence.

Behind Inferno, Light would fully re-appear as he slashed Fuuinshin out to his left in a strong swing of his arm, the blade still laced with Nightshade energy. Inferno was right, Light could do better and he wasn't so foolish as to take Inferno head on without preparing for it. This time, Inferno's back would be targeted as Light guided Fuuinshin with a well practiced swing. A dark purple trail followed behind it as the blade itself moved faster in a blurred strike that would fool one into thinking Fuuinshin was a light weighted blade. The corruptive energy acted like a jet stream pushing Fuuinshin to collide into Inferno which would in just about any other creature shatter their spine easily.

Indeed, Light had greatly changed. His speed as well as other abilities of his had been relinquished for power. Inferno, an old comrade would be the first to experience such strength from the half-angel.
