Upon hearing Veroen's words she smiled and seemed to ease up a little when he reassured her that he would be fine. She trusted Veroen to keep himself out of trouble, especially if his life would most likely come to depend upon it. When he got up she jerked her head to see what he was up to only to find him turning around with a smirk on his face while snapping his fingers. The next moment he was in some black velvet pajama pants with his torso completely exposed. What she saw strewn across it did not alarm her but she hadn't expected that the void would be that visible on him. The markings, she had to say, were actually very intricate and pretty. She, herself, had her panther tattoo on her back but it was nothing compared to the markings which now adorned Veroen's torso. She couldn't help but find them remarkable and actually stared at them for a few moments before she looked up. "For people making the void out to be horrible and all that s**t, it sure is capable of being very handy as well as creating beauty. Are these markings permanent or do they come and go as you please?"

When assured that Veroen's soul searching would not change his feelings toward her she nodded her head peacefully. "Good. I always will as well." She looked back to him again and smiled as he stood there while she examined the black markings strategically placed across his body. Eventually, though, her eyes wandered down to his velvety pants and she smirked at them. "So what's up with the whole velvet pants thing? Isn't velvet for chicks or something? And are you tired? If you're wanting to rest just let me know."

Veroen smiled at her words. The Void was indeed something made out to be bad, but was in all actuality capable of being something extravagant.

"No, I am a Vampire, remember? I don't sleep. It just doesn't hurt to be comfortable sometimes."

He shrugged and stood there for a moment with a thoughtful expression.

"Well, I suppose this is where I start my other explanation.... But first, you might want to get comfortable yourself."

And with that, he snapped his fingers again, and Edith's clothing, as well as her accessories, dissolved completely, and reappeared folded and stacked neatly next to the bed. Her weapons reappeared leaning against the wall, all intact and just as they were before he snapped his fingers. She would have been without clothing, but as quickly as her clothes dissolved into shadow, black velvet clothing formed around her body, and solidified into a perfect fit.

He winked at her, for the first time since the incident with Lily, for he now had two eyes to do so.

He then sat down next to her, and let out a heavy sigh.

"Comfy? Good. Well i suppose I shall begin with me disappearing. I reappeared in a cave deep beneath the Subway... That is where the Void took me. The Void is very...complicated... to say the least. Time is something that does not apply to the Void. The Void lives on, and has lived on since the beginning of time. It also carries the memories of those it controlled in the past. This I discovered because I relived the memories of Kasuya Minitashi, the Void Master i killed long ago. I also relived the memories of those before him... While I was down there, in little more than a day, decades had passed for me. That Cave was Void infested, and it surrounded me the entire time. It was as if time had stopped.... In my subconscious reality, I learned much from the Void. Learned how to suppress it, control it, and become one with it. I learned techniques of ancient Void Masters through their memories.

Man, Edith, if only you could have seen the many things I had seen.... I learned so many things... I am not a mere puppet of the Void, as Alasdair was. I have become one with it... It does not whisper dark corrupting thoughts in my head any longer. It is mine to control to my will. I learned to manifest body parts that were once lost, and how to make my weapons more deadly..."

He gestured over to his katana, which had been resting on a display rack on the wall. The katana's blade that was made of silver, was now colored a deep, dark black.

"You see Edith, not only have I become attuned with the Void, but I have become wiser as well.... So much knowledge, so many memories.... Its just amazing."

He turned and smiled at her, wondering what she would say to all this.

"Maybe you don't sleep but that doesn't exactly stop you from wanting to lay there and rest for a while now does it? And yeah. Nothing wrong with wearing black velvet pajamas ... Nothing at all." The last sentence, of course, was stated with a smile and full on amusement as she took a playful jab at Veroen's expense. She knew he'd be fine with being teased and that he was mature enough to realize that she was just playing around with him. What was a relationship if one couldn't harrass the other from time to time? She didn't mind being teased in the slightest and she very much so enjoyed teasing Veroen about his black velvet pajamas now. It just seemed so unorthodox for a man to be sporting a pair of black velvet pants but Veroen totally managed to pull it off though she preferred to bug him about it as opposed to come fully up front and admit so.

When her clothing rematerialized elsewhere along with her gear and weapons she applaueded Veroen softly as a soft laced, velvet night gown that matched Veroen's own black velvet pants appeared on her. The fit was perfect, the material felt as real as any other silk and it was just overall really damned comfortable. "Pretty impressive," she commented as she fell backwards onto the bed, eyes staring at the ceiling as if she could see the stars through the ceiling as well as through the smog that just never seemed to uplift in this city. She'd never really noticed the smell when she'd been a human but she had always noticed that it was pretty damned hard to catch a glimpse at the stars a lot of nights. She wasn't some huge astronomer or anything but it was nice to behold heaven's beauty either way. God had made the sky the place for all souls to retire so of course it was one of the most beautiful spectacles man kind would ever behold.

As Veroen explained the whole concept of him disappearing and why he looked different Meredith listened with her ears fully peaked. However, as she listened she continued to stare up at the ceiling as opposed to turning over to look at Veroen and potentially pester him while he spoke. "No friggin' kidding. Maybe that's why Aiden's so flucking pissy all the time ... Oh? That's good news because I was catching little tid bits of things it was saying to you, well, the wolf was ... And she didn't like them and let me hear what it was saying as well. But I am relieved that you were able to overcome the void and I suppose master it. I guess we can classify you as a void master now without sounding like morons who have no clue what we're talking about, huh?" She chuckled softly and decided to turn over onto her stomach, which was now definitely as large as it was going to get. Twins weren't exactly the lightest load but she was able to bear with it so far.

"I'm sure I could pick out quite a few of them once Sethe trains me in my own art. I'm going to ask my brother to help me tame this wolf and find an equilibrium with her as well as how to access my abilities for mutual benefit on both our parts. Right now we're about as separate as can be and you saw Sethe and Esou. They're one, they work together and that's simply how it is. I'm confident that there's no better teacher for the job than him. He won't be afraid to work me and he will be able to keep me in check if I happen to go nutters. I'm sure Uncle will be able to help as well." It was clear that she was very happy that her brother had returned, at the same time there was a sadness about her in regards to him that wasn't really detectable at the moment. However, she was sad that Sethe and Kerrigan had flown down different paths and now Sethe was attempting to turn around and catch up to Kerrigan; to make up six months worth of Kerrigan walking and him walking in the opposite direction only for him to change his mind and violently tear after her in attempts to catch up. It seemed, however, in that process that he may have ended up on a different path altogether but with Kerrigan still in sight.

Veroen smiled warmly as Edith chuckled as his little trick with her clothing. What he was wearing, as well as her, were little more than manifested Void. Though it may have been manifested Void, Veroen had perfected the ability to turn the Void into just about anything he could imagine, and have it be identical to the real thing.

He turned to her with a soft grin that was complimented by his new odd eye.

"I see. Well I will be here love, if you need my assistance with the wolf side of you. I'm sure I could find some way to offer my assistance in the matter, seeing as how I conquered my own voices." He said this with a chuckle, as he looked up at the ceiling.

"I don't really think that brother of yours is very fond of me, truth be told." He glanced over at Edith without a care in the world showing on his face. It was not that he was overconfident, it was simply him not quite worrying over things that need not be worried over. He had indeed gotten wise during his long, yet short absence.

"I know you're here to help and I'm sure that when Sethe and uncle aren't trying to murder me with their training rituals, seals, and help that I'll take on your help as well. I'm not sure how Sethe is going to go about everything but I'm sure that he can at least show me a few things and help me hone my abilities. As for the wolf bonding thing, well, he said that's another matter entirely and that it's going to take time ..." She sighed impatiently at the thought of having to wait for the wolf to be willing to bond with her and cooperate with her. At the rate things seemed to be going she would bet on closer to eternity before they ever got along and coexisted in peace with one another. Right now it was a war between the two of them, staking out their territories, what was theirs, what wasn't. It was a tiresome battle but a neccessary one at that.

Meredith sighed again and shook her head. "No ... I know he isn't fond of you either. He's concerned that you're a threat but he didn't exactly meet you when you were calm and thinking straight so maybe it was just a bad first impression. I'll tell you one thing, though, it's really hard to earn his favour. You kind of have to prove yourself since he's not just willing to listen to you talk and assume that you're someone he can trust kind of thing. It takes time and I'm sure if you just be yourself that he will eventually realize that you aren't a bad person and that he doesn't have to worry about you. Just don't go picking a fight with him or anything. Sethe can be pretty up in your face about things and he will never back down from a fight and always finishes what he starts so at the bare minimum please don't try to fight my brother. He's really stronger, he's our Omega hunter, Will entitled that rank to him before ... yeah ..."
PostPosted: Sat Sep 12, 2009 12:10 pm

Veroen was overcome by a thoughtful expression for a moment. If Illiud were indeed to challenge Veroen, Veroen would not back down. He had fought against Jaden before, and he is the alpha. And this of course was long before Veroen had any solid connection to the Void. Veroen was not, however, overconfident with his new abilities.

"Hmm... we shall see how it turns out then. I shall be respectful, but only to a point. I do not look kindly to those who are full of themselves and think that they can kill anyone they wish. Power is not something to be flaunted. That is an early sign of corruption. If he does indeed overstep his boundaries, I will not simply let the man walk all over me. I would love the approval of those close to you, Edith, however I am not one to be taken a fool and a welcome mat."

Veroen said all of this with a fairly calm face. Anger was not something that he needed to worry about as much as he used to. He was a completely different man, er, Vampire, yet still the same old Veroen.

He glanced over at Edith with a slight smile on his face.

Meredith nodded, his reasoning was logical enough and she agreed that he didn't deserve to simply be walked all over. She was merely suggesting that he avoid conflict and not go looking for trouble with Sethe. "That is fine and I would probably expect nothing less from you. I don't take s**t either and though he is my brother, yeah, he needs to be respectful as well. I am just saying please don't deliberately go looking for trouble with him because you will find and it will not end well at all. Sethe's a really good guy but he's kind of changed over the past while. He's a lot more distant, not so much himself as he used to be. He's really critical now and oriented on the hunters realizing who he is. I'm kind of worried about him but he can take care of himself and hopefully stay in line."
PostPosted: Sat Sep 12, 2009 12:37 pm

Veroen nodded as he listened to Edith tell him more about her brother Sethe. In a way, Veroen could relate to the man. Which made him somewhat respect the man as well.

"I see. Well, I can assure you that I will not go picking a fight with him. You know my nature. I am not one to go picking fights with people. I am not corrupt, plus it is not the way of the Assassin to go pick fights with others. We sit back, watch, and learn more about a foe before we make any rash decisions involving conflict, provided that the assassin in question was provoked."

He crawled up next to Edith and wrapped his arm around her, cuddling her in a sort of way.

"I think that in the future, possibly sooner than I expect, me and your brother will get along just fine."

He turned to look at Edith with his two very different eyes, with a smile.

When Veroen assured her that he didn't go picking fights with people she merely chuckled as he assured her since she knew he was one of the last people to go around stirring s**t up. He preferred to remain quiet and assess situations as opposed to dive head first into them which was something she'd worked on over the past year or so. She asked questions now before simply diving in head first but if someone was in danger she still tended to lose some of her sense and just went all out to try and help them. "Yeah. I know you're usually pretty good for keeping your opinions to yourself up until a point and that you don't go around seeking fights with people. You're too disciplined for something like that but sometimes people do stupid things. Anyhow, I hope you two do get along better in the future but Sethe's probably going to play the skeptic when it comes to you. It's not even fully personal, he just does it with everyone and people I date tend to be analyzed even more so kind of thing."

She smiled when Veroen had crawled up next to her and wrapped his arm around her. What had bothered her the most about Veroen being gone had been being unable to hear his voice and speak to him, to be able to hug him and to simply be able to spend time like this with him. They were here simply discussing their lives and even though Veroen's life had taken a major course change things still managed to seem good when he was around. Of course she was worried for him and wished that it didn't have to be this way but there was no possible way that he could remain with the coven now after what he'd found out. Veroen, though excellent in his skills, was not equipped to fully handle and play as a double agent within the coven if it meant possibly benefitting them. He wanted revenge of some sort, that she was certain of. Hopefully he wouldn't go about it on his own and he wouldn't be rash about it but right now was not the time for personal vendettas anyhow since his life was on the line.
PostPosted: Sun Sep 13, 2009 2:13 am

Veroen simply laid there with Edith as the two of them spoke. He did not plan on making any rash decisions anytime soon as long as that course of action wasn't needed.

"Well whatever happens, I will be fine, Edith. I have yet to be killed, regardless of the many horrible situations I have found myself in. You know I am a crafty one."
With the last sentence, Veroen chuckled. He found it amusing to think that he was once considered to be crafty,in his days before he was turned.

"So Edith, I told you about me, so what about you? You have yet to explain how you became a Lycan, and how your unborn child is doing."

He then looked at her with curiosity.

"I know you're smart and have yet to be killed but I think I at least have a bit of a right to be worried if an entire angry coven might possibly be after you for killing three of their own as well as finding out what you did. You could expose the coven and tell others about them and they could potentially lose favour with their own kind. I'm sure they feel they cannot afford that in a time such as this when it seems everyone's struggling to hold together. You could be a major dent to their egos and reputations and if you're left unchecked you could easily deliver a stab wound to the coven." She shrugged, figuring that the coven would probably be highly concerned about Veroen opening his mouth to the public. After alll, the vampire elders couldn't look bad in front of their very coven now could they? If they were exposed as liars and as deceptionists then it was game over for them if the coven ended up rebelling against them. Naturally it would take a united coven against their elders to overthrow them but it was possible.

"Well after you and I went to Jaden about being turned and found out that he wasn't able to do it with good odds and we talked to Layna things kind of just fell flat between Layna and I. I don't know what happened to her. Ceon and I kind of ended up talking and stuff and I eventually agreed to let him turn me so yeah. It was Ceon that made me a lycan and my unborn children seem to be doing fine according to Gail. They're twins apparently and she will not tell me the genders so I have to pick two girl names and two boys names just in case ... Heh ..." She looked somewhat sheepish as she talked about the whole ordeal, not particularly interested in reliving it. What was done was done and she didn't really want to look back on being human either since she missed it while at the same time this form was more convenient and durable.
PostPosted: Sun Sep 13, 2009 5:38 am

Veroen was thoughtful about this for a moment. It was true, he had made a pretty big enemy. But Veroen was confident that he could easily take any of their forces, save the Elders. Fighting an Elder would be a little more...difficult. Veroen knew that if the time came to fight Rogue, or Alexz, he would have to be ready for anything.

"I may just do that. Exposing them for what they truly are would be something that would leave a very bad mark on their reputation..."

Perhaps Veroen could convince the other races to go against the traitorous Coven. Now that would be a strange occurrence. But Veroen was indeed as good a diplomat, as he was an Assassin.

He pondered this for a moment, in silence.

"Hmm... there are many things I could do to get back at the Coven."

He still sat there, and pondered this over.

It was pretty clear that Meredith was unsettled by Veroen making an enemy out of the coven and that they'd eventually get the better of them. The grudges of the vampire coven ran deep and seeing as they could live forever it was only a matter of time before they succeeded in harming Veroen. Could he really hold out forever? Maybe he was good at slipping under the radar but so was the coven and they might very well be able to get to Veroen in a way to blind side him completely. This was concerning and she knew that while Veroen was very resourceful and crafty that if the coven was patient and persistent that he'd eventually be worn down to the point he might make a mistake and pay for it with his life.

"You better wait for a while before you try to do that though I guess if they're worried about you blabbering it really doesn't matter when or if you do. But if you start blabbering you're indefinitely going to make an enemy out of the coven and even if they're kind of unorganized at the moment it seems, they have the resources to annihilate you. You'd better be damned careful if you ever decide to open your mouth about what the coven did to you. You got me?"

Eden did not bother to disturb Veroen's plotting and pondering, she allowed him to drift off into whatever thoughts he was having. She didn't bother to attempt to read them and the wolf wasn't interested enough to lend her the help to do so anyhow. Hopefully he wasn't thinking of something rash and stupid but it was always possible. Veroen had suffered a lot at the coven's hands and suffering tended to blind people's sense of reason. Anger and hurt seemed the best remedies to absolutely butcher reason until it no longer existed at all.

"Such as? I'm sure there are tons of ways but you're not allowed to do anything stupid that's going to get you killed. You have protection from the hunters and we're an ally to you whether you're within our ranks or not. They'll have your back and I will too."

The hunter leader merely laid on her vampire boyfriend's bed and stared up at the ceiling with a sigh. She then turned her head to look out the window into the night as if she was expecting something to happen outside the window. Now while the city never slept that didn't mean that every waking hour there was someone being robbed or crying because they'd almost been killed. No. There were moments of peace but they never lasted long and when the peace was there too long it was usually the calm before the storm and one race gathering to plot against another.
PostPosted: Wed Sep 16, 2009 1:13 pm

Veroen looked at the girl he loved for a moment with a soft smile. Even as a Lycan she was still beautiful.

"Indeed. I will remember that, Edith. As far as what I am thinking goes, it is not important. I will not be making any moves against the Coven anytime soon. Unless they attack me first, I will not be looking for any conflict with them. At least, not for a while."

He said these words with a thoughtful grin. He wondered where Jaden had disappeared to... The Alpha would definitely be someone to speak to about this. Even if Veroen was a Vampire, he and Jaden were on somewhat good terms. Perhaps Jaden would be willing to offer assistance if it meant overthrowing a common enemy.

Veroen knew he had the entire force of the Hunters behind him, because of Meredith. If indeed a war were going to start, he would have to call for aid. Veroen had many tricks up his sleeve that were yet to be revealed. Alasdair had only touched the tip of the iceberg when he had used the Void to summon Void Vampires.

Veroen thought about all of this for a few moments, with his two very different eyes looking down at the bed. For Edith, Veroen would have seemed very quiet after he had spoken.

He quickly looked at Edith again.

"Don't worry Edith. You're boyfriend is very smart. I will not be killed so easily by the Coven. They may be powerful, but I know some of their deepest, darkest secrets. I am very different than the other Vampires that left the Coven. I was the one gathering their intel, and carrying out their missions from behind the scenes. I know the Coven more intimately than the others that left the Coven."

Veroen began formulating a plan in his mind, actually multiple plans for all the possible scenarios that could occur. Things could change. So it was better to have a plan for each possible path that could be taken.

"Well that's a good thing that you're not going to go looking for trouble with them since you're in enough of it with them already I'm sure. Rogue likes toying around with people and playing on their emotions and complete psychological bulls--t like that but you probably already know that. Just watch out and be careful ... She managed to friggin' p***k me with some messed up serum that made me go absolutely nuts and I ended up killing some innocent f--king people because of it ... Rogue didn't even care, hell, she probably thought it was hilarious and entertaining to know that a hunter was going against their code because they were friggin' drugged up. It's not a fun time and it's certainly not a fun time after you wake up and realize that the bloody mess around you is all your fault. It's like going to sleep and waking up to find out you were sleep walking and killing people while you were at it. Doesn't sit too well with the stomach ..."

It was pretty clear that Meredith bore a grudge against the vampire elder for what she had done to Meredith or more so what she had done to those innocent people through Meredith. Eden had merely been a shell in which Rogue had been testing whatever it was that she'd developed and had used it to her advantage. It had been impossible to deceipher, in that state, who had been friend and who had been foe since she'd been on auto-pilot. Clearly the auto-pilot had merely grown defensive and had protected itself and Meredith by killing those around it. Luckily for her there hadn't been any hunters around her or she very well might have taken them out as well. It was just another one of those moments that Edith didn't care to relive or talk about all that much.

At Veroen's comment she smirked and gave him a quick peck on the cheek before responding. "I know my boyfriend is very smart and knowledgeable especially in relation to the coven but that doesn't mean that he can't be harmed or overwhelmed. You're just one of you and an entire coven is well, an entire coven which is a hell of a lot more than just one vampire. I just don't want to come looking around here one day to find that you got completely annihilated by a swarm of vampires that outnumbered you and ripped you to pieces. I'm just scared of the possibility of losing you to the coven and its inability to forgive anyone. I don't want to lose you, Veroen, I don't need to know what that's like or how much it'll hurt. And while you do know the coven quite well you aren't going to be able to predict and keep track of everything they do ..."

It was easy enough to tell that the lycan hunter was concerned for her mate and that she wanted nothing more than to be able to protect him from anything that might possibly attempt to harm him. She had cuddled up next to him very close, placing her head on his chest as she spoke to him, not bothering to listen for a heart beat or breathing since vampires did neither. It was strange but it was something she'd gotten used to with Veroen. Vampires simply possessed some unnatural characteristics that humans, lycans and tainted did not for the sole reason that they were undead while the rest were not. However, despite the fact it'd been a little strange to her at first it now comforted her slightly and let her know that it was Veroen there with her.
