At the request for other orient choiced food, Tristan laughed. "I have found my new best friend! Sushi sounds great."

Jay and Kevin rolled their eyes. Tristan changed best friends every day, it seemed.

Sarah stood up and walked to the priest. "Uhm, I was wondering if I might go with you? I could help carry things."

She learns pretty quickly, either god really likes her or that's some sort of trait. I wonder if angels reproduce like demons and humans or if they get new angels through the whole human dieing. I really should've found that out when I had acess to the demon's royal library. Strake thought to himself wondering if angels get traits from angel parents or human parents.

"You're my new best friend then too. Since Strake is up there being lame still and not coming down you can take his place." Katie said leaning over to Tristian who was next to her and grabbing on to his arm, as she would do with Strake if she was scared or needed protection.

I should probally get down stairs, who knows what Katie will think if I stay up here for to long. I wonder what they're doing down there, I here lots of thoughts and bickering. How the hell are me and Katie getting home? It's way to long to walk and it's going to get dark soon. Oh well maybe we can get a ride later. Strake thought then left the room with Melody in it. He walked down the stairs and noticed Katie. Knew it. "Hello party people, what's going on?" Strake said surprisingly upbeat.

Tistan scooped Katie in both his arms. "I'm stealing your girlfriend," he said to Strake. "She's political and healthy. If she were a man, I'd sex her up."

Kevin put his hand to his face. "Totally did not need to hear that."

Sarah shook her head. "We're figuring out what to eat," she told Strake.

((Can Sarah, Katie, and my boys see Amadeus? o.O ))

"Oh yay I have a homosexual friend, now we can do all that stuff that Strake wouldn't do, like get our nails done, talk about men, eat." Katie said laughing, she had never had a gay friend, but she always thought that it'd be so cool. A homosexual is a girls best friend right?

"I eat Katie, what are you talking about?" Strake asked in confusion.

"I've never actually seen you eat, you have food one minute and then the next minute it's gone." Katie pointed out.

"That's because I eat fast, where would the food go if I wasn't eating it?" Strake argued, he really was a fast eater, as a demon he didn't exactly need food, but he got it into his system all the same. He however didn't need to chew his food and just swallowed it whole, since demon spit is like acid when it comes to food.

"Sure, I think you just make it dissapear, like some sort of magician. I meen look at how thin you are." Katie said in disbelief.

"Yeah Katie, cause I'm so a magician and you don't know it." Strake replied sarcastically.

Amadeus silently watched this entire argument/conversation progress, rolling his eyes as they bickered about such silly matters as food and where it came from. Most chinese food in this area didn't even come from China, so why was that girl getting her shorts in a knot? It was one of the things that both amused and bothered Amadeus about humans: the inanity ((yes, inanity)) of the subjects they chose to argue about and fight over.

All this wasn't really important to Amadeus, though. What was important was the fact that Melody was now alone and therefore, for the time being, safe. It would be easier now for Amadeus to pay less attention to Melody while still making sure she was out of harm's way. While Melody was technically not his charge she was a fellow angel. Especially now that she was Stranded, Melody was particularly vulnurable. Coupled with the fact that she had always been somewhat naive and clumsy, Amadeus felt that someone needed to watch over her while she watched over Zach. Seeing as how his own charge had not been revealed to him yet, he figured that he might as well be the one to look after young angel for the time being... at least until she could hold her own just as easily as any other angel.

((Yargh, well, I've obviously been back from camp.
I was planning to post during camp as well, since I had a little bit of time a few of the days, but what happened was that my laptop sorta died on me, nad wouldn't let me access the internet or anything. I got it back yesterday fixed, so I've been playing catchup. xd

Oh, and whether the others can see him or not depends on the whole faith-thing again. If you think they'd be able to see Melody before she crash-landed, or if they could see any angel in general everyday if they flew around, then yeah. Otherwise, they'll just have to assume he's there. xd ))

Priest Charles chuckled to himself as the argument took a switch to Tristan and Katie, thankful for both that Strake had come down without doing any harm, and Melody not walking down at that particular moment. Being rather naiive, she had ALOT to learn about the world of humans.

At hte asking of help, he shook his head. "I'll be alright by myself; I'll just go ahead and get some Japanese food then and a box of pizza, since we seem to be in agreement on two foods. Amadeus, would you like to come along with me, or keep an eye on the ones here?" he asked to the angel; while Amadeus could learn a bit with him, he also knew that the angel was worried about Melody. "It's up to you."

Melody continued to sleep peacefully, her dreams blurry yet at the same time clear. She was flying with a strange creature, a small bright blob-like figure with little twirled goat horns on a helmet; she recgonized this as one of the Helpers of heaven. She was in awe as it was trying to teach her about hte world within her dreams; they were only used in High Council, so just seeing one (let alone talking to and learning from one) meant something of high honor.

"Good. Now that we've gone over a few basic buildings, let's review." it said, and they were now suddenly in a empty room, with nothing but a large table that had a very detailed sort of map of hte city of Alphaline, all made out of clay models that were exact right to the house.

"There's alot to learn, and I doubt I'll hit it all, but some basics would be good. Now, for starters, what's this building right here?" he asked, pointing to a building with lots of windows, a few floors, and a playground.

"That's a school."

"Good, good! Just remember that all schools aren't going to be shaped exactly like this one, and some also have stadiums. For sprorts reas- I'll get to that later. Ok, now this one?"

"A hospital."

"Correct! If Zack ever gets very very ill, you'll need to take him here. If you're close by, just run him there. If you're somewhere far away, though, call an ambulance."

"That's the truck that responds to emergencies, right?"

"Yeah, actually! Wait, did I even go over that? Use a phone, or get someone to call for you. As long as someone brings it down, that's all that counts. Naturally, currency is used for their services, and it gets expensive quickly (especially if there's a operation, or something doctors do to a person while they're asleep to fix them), so the quicker one gets better, the better. OK, now this one? You should know this, it's easy!"

"A church!"

"Good! Now a tricky one, what's this?"

Melody puckered her lips for a moment in thought, but then her face brightened for a moment. "Oh, that's a department store!"

"BINGO! Good, you didn't say restruant that time; they're easy to get mixed up. And the difference is-?"

"A restruant is where you sit down and eat and order food off menus.
A fast food place is where you order, but you have the option of going through with your car or just taking it elsewhere.
A department store is for all sorts of merchendise."

"Alright, you're on a roll! I think we're good with buildings, so we'll be done with that. There's all sorts of buildings and types, but you'll learn as you go along. Now we got to move on to common human habits and house roms; you're really in trouble if I don't mention at least the basics......"

((Welcome Back! ^_^/) Well, i can't think of anything to write unless Sarah can see Amadeus...It's implanted in my brain! ))

Sarah glanced at Amadeus for a quick moment; the fact that him being an angel not phasing her for a moment (she didn't realize that it was out of the ordinary due to the current circumstances).

"That's okay," she told the priest. "I'll keep the kids in line here." Saying this, she managed to wrangle Tristan off Katie. "You need to cool it."

"Alright, sounds like a plan, anything for us to do here while we wait Sarah?" Strake asked Sarah. "You know I play a meen guitar on Rock Band, I can do Green Grass and High Tides on expert." Strake said, his favorite game was Rock Band, he played all the time at Katie's house.

"Oh, Rock Band, that sounds like so much fun right now, I would love to play some bass." Katie said in agreement, she also loved Rock Band.

Amadeus was presented with a difficult situation. He could either go with Charles and they could discuss the present situation, (among other things) which would help Amadeus get adjusted to Terra much faster. True, he'd been down here before, but a lot has changed since 1942 and 2008. For one thing, there was a rather large war going on in 1942, and for another, technology had changed quite a bit since then.

On the other hand, he could stay here and make sure no harm came to Melody. If he left, it would be a bunch of humans left alone with Strake... a demon. Melody surely couldn't fend for herself against him, especially in her current state. It would be a simple matter of killing them all and sauntering out before Charles and Amadeus could get back. No... Amadeus definitely couldn't afford to leave. As much as he would like to talk with Charles, and as much as Strake says he's not hostile, Amadeus felt it would be the wrong choice to leave.

"If it's all the same to you, father," Amadeus said quietly," I think I will stay here and keep an eye on the younglings."
PostPosted: Thu Jul 17, 2008 7:51 pm

Charles nodded. "Well, alrighty, I'll be off. I shouldn't be too long, so no need to worry about me." he said, and he went out of the front door of the guest house and shut it behind him. He walked along the path then suddenly hid behind a tree once he was far enough away from the hosue and near the path back to the city. Murmuring a spell to himself he suddenly became invisible, and since the sphere was in God's will anyways, it was also unseen.

Now that he was clear, he could start the work. Pulling out the shiny ball again, it brought up what looked like a box, opening on contact. Pulling out one of his worn gray hairs off his head, the aged Priest sat it into the box. It shut instantly, and dissolved back into the shiny sphere. Then it suddenly glowed brightly for a moment. Now it looked like what a crystal ball would do, but only more complicated, with many windows opening up at once and many screens coming out of the sphere. At last, time to get started!

"First things first, stalling the girl's parents for the night; not good for them to come home so quickly with an angel." he said, his voice also invisible, as the ball suddenly gave him three different scenarios: traffic accident in which no one was hurt, broken down car scenario, free night vacation to a spa. All of them would result in a phone call, but not arriving home til tomorrow evening.

"Any past memories work with the third option?"

It shined again, and there was a picture of the girl's parents at the mall, filling out a contest forum for a free vacation in the islands. "That works: select." he said, and it glowed green for a moment, then sat idle, waiting for the next command. It was like a one on one link with the man above, who gave the man both the questions and possible answers.

He continued his work, working with many of the unanswered questions: the most important, filling out Melody's registration in the real world, as well as getting a house. She was now Melody Maria Lin, no relation to Zack at all. It would be the daughter of a random individual, who had far too many mental issues to take care of her daughter and thus the girl was taken away from her. Melody then grew up at a church nearby in their care, which would happen to be a church near the city. Not where Charles himself worked, but he and the priest there were good friends. Right now, they were working on a new project for those who weren't in the best condition; sending them to different familes to learn more about how to live in the real world. Called: "Project Reach." Only the Priests would be able to choose familes in a final decision, and thus Charles chose Zack as their canidate for Melody. After all, it could be one person, as long as they had good grades, a job, and were helpful in general.

The people are immediately funded if the individual who was kind enough to volunteer was having some issues finanically. For example, for each member with bad housing there was one ticket for them for a raffle, and the winner would have it nice: they would be able to get a house, worth up to $500,000, for free. This had already been chosen; this would be Zack. There were other raffles as well, for money, clothes, house supplies, but the house was the best one. And out of all the people, he needed it the most. He'd get a letter tomorrow with the ticket, and the Priest could help him find adquet housing.

He continued to work with other problems, which included ordering the food for them, which he'd go pick up in a bit.

Jay and kevin were all for playing Rock Band; Tristan thought it was a waste of time (he doesn't like video games), and Zack's heavy head fell to the side, causing his body to fall onto the couch. Sarah stared at him, waiting for him to wake up, but he didn't. Out like a light, and that light wasn't planning on coming back on any time soon.

The words Amadeus nearly whispered peirced her heart. She wasn't aware that no one else could see him, so she began to get the feeling that she's been getting replaced in almost every aspect. Melody was replacing her in taking care of Zack, and now Amadeus wanted to take her place in making sure her guests were in line.

She watched Zack for a moment, wondering what he was dreaming about, when he suddenly twitched, like a chill ran through his body. The temperture in the house wasn't cool enough to cause a chill, but he somehow got really cold while he slept.

"I'm going to get him a blanket," she announced, though not really loud enough for everyone to hear her. She quickly walked out of the room, and down the hall, hopefully out of view of everyone in the room.

The blanket closet was next to the room Melody slept, and Sarah didn't want to see the girl pushing her out of her life. The moment she grabbed a blanket, she could feel remorse welling up in her throat. She stared at the closed door.

Suddenly, and slowly, she opened it. She didn't know why, but for some reason she wanted to see the girl. The girl slept so soundly in the bed, and Sarah's remorse was slowly slipping away. Maybe she was looking at this wrong way. Watching Meldoy sleep, Sarah knew that the girl didn't come into their lives to suddenly cast her out, so why was she feeling so jealous? This could be that opportunity that she'd been waiting for. A female friend; not a man who acted like a female, but a pure, 100% female.

She closed the door quietly, and leaned on the wall opposite. She felt like she belonged in a waste management facility.

((Yay! I actually thought up more than jsut two good-for-nothing paragraphs! I'm so happy! whee ))

((is Katie no longer female? Or is she just not 100% female. I'm just messing with you.))

"Where'd Sarah go to?" Katie asked curiously. She saw Sarah's mouth move, but she didn't have the best eyesight, and was not wearing he contacts at the moment.

"I think she said she was going to get a blanket." Strake said, he was a bit closer to Sarah, and his hearing was better than most humans because he was a demon, although out of form, he retained the odd demon shaped ears, but these were hidden below his hair.

"Oh, it shouldn't take that long to get a blanket, I'm going to see what's taking her so long." Katie said. She began walked out of the room and down the hall.
Katie saw Sarah closing the door. "Have you come here to check up on the angel?" Katie asked, just after Sarah closed the door.

((Ok, I'm tired of Melody being asleep. xd ))

Ok, so I think we've gone over the most important things as far as living in the human world. Chances are I'll come back in the future and continue to teach you, since you've still got a loooong way to go, but for now you should be fine in that boy and that priest's hands. Good luck to ya!" the creature said after more rigrous memorization, and evertying disappeared in a white shiny light.

Melody slowly opened her eyes, and looked about while letting out a confused noise; she didnt' even get a chance to say thank you to it. She was back in the room of the strange house. She glanced out the window; it was almost dark. How long had she been out for?

She could sense that Zack was sleeping, and while normally this would be of a relief, she remembered that the demon was down there as well. She needed to go and protect him. Leaving him down there all alone would be horrible on her part as an guardian angel!

Rising from the bed slowly and rubbing her eyes, she spent a few mintues in the bathroom, trying to clean herself up a bit all around. She still noticed the strange mini pool-looking thing in the bathroom and some sort of hose in this room ((aka shower and tub)), but wasn't in the mood to investigate it. Her hair had become a tangled poofy mess, sticking in all directions, but she had no clue how to fix it at the moment. After all, in heaven you used a Syhairian, and she saw no such thing here.

Finally the angel emerged a few minutes later, not looking much different, but feeling much better. She found out the hard way that she couldn't change her clothes anymore, which kinda stuck; this nightgown thing was smelling strange, probably because she was ill earlier. She also examined the strange banadage thing on her wound; it still felt funny but not as painful as earlier.

As she was heading for the door, she felt something on her shoulder, sort of moving about. She turned to look, and jumped in surprise, yet made no sound; it was some sort of creature that was yellow and black, and had wings. She looked at teh window; it had been left open. That must be how-

"ow!" she winced softly in pain as she suddenly saw the creature stick something sharp through the material and into her skin, leaving a red sort of bump on her arm. The main pain lasted for only a few seconds, before it crawled into the hole of her dress. Without thinking (and not wanting it to hurt her again), she threw off the dress and made it back to the door safely, and leaving the creature trapped in the dress now on the floor, she opened the door softly and looked about, now only in some white lace-looking matching white undergarments. After all, she knew no better seeing as how things were different here on heaven than on earth. What WAS the dress code here, anyways? That was never explained by the creature in her dreams; just human habits and some common terms of greetings and conversation.

She blinked in surprise, her hair still bedhed style and now bandage showing due to lack of dress, at the two girls by the door. It was Kaite and Sarah. She wasn't sure what to say to them, so instead remained quiet, her wings giving a small flutter. Her look still looked of I'm-sorta-sleepy-but-not-tired kind of look as her innocent eyes looked at them curiously. It was a bit cold out here...
PostPosted: Sun Jul 20, 2008 6:46 am

Sarah jumped slightly as Katie walked up. She was surprised and a bit embarassed that someone had caught her. She smiled and laughed a little.

"Yeah," she answered. "just making sure she's okay being all by herself and stuff." She sighed and looked at the blanket. Better get this to Zack before he catches cold; then a thought hit her. "What did you come back here for?" she asked Katie.

Melody watched in curiousity as she came all the way out of the door now, not bothering to go back for her dress as she watched the two females converse; besides, the lack of it wasn't making her sweat and smell! Ok, so her hair could use an improvement, but she wouldn't want to bug them with that. The creature could still be there and want to hurt her again, and putting others in danger would be wrong of her too. She noticed Sarah was a bit jumpy, but why? She noticed the conversation seemed to be on "the angel"; oh, she had come to check on her wellbeing! How kind of her, but perhaps by showing she could walk on her own, it would be enough to lighten the concern.

Stepping out of the shadows, she came up to them and bowed in respect, careful not to hit anything with her outspread wings. "I appreciate the concern, Ms. Sarah, but there's no need to worry about my well being. While the scar of the attack might still be here, it is not in much pain now. I thank you for caring, though." she said, pointing to the bandage (which was easy in this case to do, since she was now only in white undergarments and her cross necklace). The angel felt that she needed to check on Zack. He was still sleeping, but still, the demon was down there too. She could hear lively music, which drew her curiousity.

"What are they doing? Are they practing again so soon after the festival? That doesn't sound like Zack singing...." she asked in curiosity, making her way towards the stairs.

"Hm, well, looks like my work with this is done for the time being." Charles nodded, putting away teh ball of light. He had done what the big man had asked of him as far as this matter. Now, to get the food!
