I play flute...wanna learn how to play violin though

Believe it or not, i play a chinese instrument! Its the 'GuZheng'. I've been learning it since 6 and i'm 13 now...so....that should be 7 years. Wow! never knew i learnt it for so long!

Know it or not, i'll give you a brief description. It is at least an average dinner table's length and have 21 strings. We dont read notes like piano but we read numbers. Its confusing but you get used to it after a while.

They dont really have exams or grades for this instument. You just get taught how to play new pieces of music. At least that is what i have learnt in my school. And yes, i learnt it in my school.

@Angelic - Yup, I have friends and cousins who play the GuZheng. It's a gorgeous instrument.

Hahaha, every Asian kid around here has been coerced by their parents into playing piano or violin. At some point in their life, everyone has played one of these.

One of the teachers at my school was making this point, then asked my friend Steph which she played when she was little. And she had to reply, "ArghBOTH" and the whole class cracked up. XD

I was a victim of piano myself. I might have loved the instrument if I hadn't been forced to play it and threatened into practicing all the time. T___T

Also, if the student is a small Asian girl in band, she probably has played flute at some time or another, if she doesn't still play it now.

well, i did clarinet like in second grade only and i stopped playing piano a few years ago....

i can play piano too ^-^ i'm in level 9 3nodding
