Liah was surprised at the appearing purple mist when she read the name. Seirei. What a unique name. It was like all the other unique names in the group. "My name's Liah." She said once he was within ear shot. "And this is Sintariun, she's elvish and can't speak our language." Her voice was still soft, she was afraid to speak too loudly in the forest.

Sintariun saw the letters but it felt like she was trying to speak with molasses in her mouth. Se-eir-ei The elf watched nervously as the man continued to come forward and she could feel his aura. Something from this forest related to him and that's what disturbed her the most. Subtly, the elf put her hand on Damon's coat wanting reassurance that she wasn't all alone. Glancing at Liah she watched as the two conversed. Hearing her name, the elf turned her gaze to her friend.

Seirei stopped about fifteen feet from the two people and the two animals. "Ah, explains why you responded instead of her," he said, looking at Liah since she was the one here who could speak. He could tell that the elf was nervous and he wasn't surprised, creatures such as him didn't give off a pleasant presence. "So, this is the group setting out for an epic quest as I recall it was worded?" he said, confirming what he heard just previously. His aura flickered again and he was getting tired of it. He rested his hands against the blades of his swords and drained his energy into them. The shined briefly before growing dim and his aura returned to a steady dim purple.

Gia turned her eyes a bit from where she was walking near Jason holding the quiver of arrows. She'd keep it held out for him to take before looking towards Seirei. "Gia.", she spoke her name simply before turning her attention towards waiting to seeing if Jason could accept the quiver of arrows offered. Gia kept her wings closed much of the journey, but for a little bit her wings would move a little from beneath the cape causing a small change in her small frame. The shaking of her wings would stop moments later, mostly cause her wings were a little cramped and she had to keep them from becoming that way for easy flight at any moment. Her eyes though remained on the path ahead while at the same time making sure to be aware of any danger that might come forward.

((You guys enjoy leaving me in the dust don't you... xp ))
Ramiel's nose and ear twitched for a moment. In a slow motion he hunched forward slowly as he walked, bring himself closer to the ground as he strained his ears to hear. From his movements it appeared he'd either not noticed Seirei or he simply didn't care.
Bringing his hand to the hilt of his blade he suddenly spoke up, his voice clear and serious as he spoke "Everyone, on your guard!" He shouted.
As he finished an eerie howl pierced the air, soon answered by similar howls. Soon glowing red eyes began to slowly appear in the shadows of the dead forest. Low growls came from the creatures as they emerged.
They were wolves, at least they had been once, now they were simply bones with rotting flesh clinging to them, but that didn't change their threatening appearance. One of the wolves lunged forward, letting out another howl.
With surprising speed for the size of the blade, Ramiel drew his sword, and swung side long, catching the wolves head and smashing the remnants of its skull into a tree, with one swift motion he continued from his swing, brought his blade up and then back down to cleave the wolf in two, crushing its spine "1 down, 12 to go....remember, they'll keep moving as long as the head and the spine remain intact" He called back, readying the blade for the next of the beasts

Sintariun's ears seem to perk up as she heard howls in the air. Spotting one of the creatures, the elf gasped at the sight of one of the wolves. Grasping the hilt of her dagger, the elf gazed the attackers and watched as Ramiel made quick work of one of them.

Whether Jason accepted the arrows now wasn't a concept, it'd be thrown to him for his arms to catch as she bolt for the air. Not to run, she was preparing for battle as she would remove the fabric covering the hilt of her sword allowing the light to shimmer brightly now as she took the long sword in hand. Gia's eyes became at that time lifeless. It seemed whatever life previous was there retracted inwards into a protective shell leaving only a person of battle as she lunge straight towards ground now. The cape that was carefully concealing her wings now being untied and packed into the satchel she carried to open all movement to her. The otherwise deep amethyst eyes held the same luminosity as the moon, almost glowing to match her sword as she would watch. Guard had been established in her, however she was casting something that sounded almost like singing out of her lips. It came out like a melody, yet the melody was hypnotic to create something along the edge of her sword. "I hope these beasts burn easy....", Gia's voice changed from the previously gentle tone to a tone that seemed almost void of it.
Her eyes even mimiced this, as they looked to glow like a cat's. Gia would dart for one of the wolves, but in the matter suiting her. Wings carried her swiftly as she would hope to impale the wolf, if it did not impact. Her magic cause an after effect to catch the wolf off-guard for someone else to move in. It would be like what she was doing above the surface of the lake earlier in the day, just now using life targets instead. "Blast!", the sword would let out a booming noise to cause an explosion to hopefully catch her prey.

Seirei, upon hearing the wolves, spun around and drew his blades from his waste. He held them so that the tips were just above the ground and looked about for the incoming wolves. He raised one blade to just under eye level and the other to waste level, not wanting to rush into a swarm but not wanting to be swarmed. "Twelve. Aim for the head and spine. Got it," he said, a wolf diving at him from the trees as the pack of skeletal wolves came into the area. Reflex made him block the attack but his instincts made him strike. The beast fell to the ground next to him, it's spine landing separate from it's legs and it's head bouncing off a tree behind Sintariun and Liah. "At least they break easy," he said out loud, not to anyone in particular.

Zen quickly drew his sword, ready for the fight. One of the wolves jumped into the air at him. Zen dropped to the ground, and as the wolf passed over him, he cut the spine so that the head fell right off. Another wolf tried to attack. Zen got up and sidestepped the attack quickly before severing the spine. He looked to see how the others in the group were doing. They seemed to be holding their own quite well. Suddenly, Zen was knocked to the ground by another wolf. His sword fell from his hand. The wolf was on top of him trying to crush his head between his jaws. It was taking all of Zen's stength to keep the wolf's mouth just inches away from his face. Then he rolled to the side and the wolf fell off of him. Zen quickly grabbed his sword and cut the spine. "I got three. How many do you guys have?"

Jason took the arrows and quickly strapped them on which wasn't that hard to do. He had noticed the dead moving but didn't think they had seen them... Guess he was wrong. Pulling out his bow, he swung hard, smacking one that had jumped towards him and drew one of the new arrows he had and launched it at the beast's head at an angle which would split it in half.
This would leave the creature without a head as to be unable to bite or see where they are. Jason then pulled one of his normal arrows, quickly drawing it back as the body started to turn towards him and then let he arrow lose, splitting the neck area in half, also breaking the spine in a straight line. "Those are a hell of some arrows Gia. I thank you for them."
At that moment, a beast jumped at him from behind but he spun around, arrow already loaded into the bow as he released it straight into the skull of the beast up close, striking through the skull and obliterating the spine behind in a straight line. "Two down... How many are left?"

I hope that helps whee ))
Liah was terrified. The howls of the undead wolves were nothing she'd ever heard. Frantically grabbing at her knife on her belt, she fumbled with the sheath and shakily took it out. Asteria took off from her shoulder as Damon gave a particularly loud growl. Turning, she looked at Damon who was behind her. He actually scared her. His teeth were bared in a snarl in the threatening posture of confidence and war.
The head that fell behind them was still moving, and Damon made quick work, smashing it in his jaws as if the bones were toothpicks. It seemed the undead wolves recognized the sound of their alive kin which made them more vicious. A wolf attacked him at the same time. Damon snarled again and made a lunge for it, aiming for the back of the spine. The other wolf moved just in time, and tried to get at the living wolf's exposed stomach.
With an earsplitting screech, Asteria dove in, distracting the wolf with the seemingly easier looking prey. She dodged the snapping jaws and swiping claws before retreating as high as she could in the trees so that she could help wherever she was needed.
While all this was happening, Liah was almost unprotected, backed up against a large tree. Damon was preoccupied dueling with the wolf; she was so transfixed with the battle that shes didn't notice the slow moving figure of another wolf stalking toward her in the cover of the shadows....

((Yep! Thanks mrgreen ))
Jason looked towards Liah and saw the beast sneaking up towards her but he didn't have a good shot at the head or spine. Instead, Jason pulled out one of diminishing normal arrows and pulled back on the draw string rather quickly, letting the arrow fly but it was aimed at the beast's front right leg exclaiming, "Behind you!" The arrow would shatter the bone if penetrated leaving the creature in a limp but if it didn't, he would have distracted the wolf to coming at him for the attempted assassination of it's leg. Either way, Jason just made himself a target for it... Never a good idea to do that.
((Just a note, the arrow wasn't aimed to kill. Merely to limp or distract the un-dead beast.))

Liah spun around at the sound of Jason's warning and gasped, noticing how close the wolf had been to her. The creature yelped as the arrow shattered it's leg, causing it to fiercely charge forward, instead of turning to attack Jason who has shot it. It came right at Liah, it's dead eyes ablaze with hate and furry. Liah's own eyes widened as she tried to scream, but the sound was caught in her throat. Suddenly, she remembered the small dagger clenched in her hand. In a split second, Liah threw it at the beast. The movement was pure instinct and Liah was quite surprised at the speed in which it flew threw the air. She was even more surprised when the small weapon struck the wolf's face blade first between the eyes, causing the skull to split in half.
Damon roared with fury when he realized Liah was in danger. The extra anger almost blinded him and suddenly, the wolf he had been dueling fell to the ground with a severed head and a crushed spinal cord. He charged at the other wolf and stuck the body with all his might. The skeleton collapsed instantly, but Damon shattered it to pieces, just to make sure it was dead. He then turned to Liah and nuzzled her with his nose once, to make sure she was okay. She seemed to be in shock.

Jason turned his back towards them but jumped backwards as to get into ear shot of them as he watched the surroundings for any other undead wolves that mights still be out there. The others were fighting with others but it seemed that they were getting pretty good during their fights. All of them seemed to be winning in their own way. "Liah, are you alright? These things have a poisonous spit having been decaying for quite a period of time," said Jason as he drew another arrow into the bow, ready to let the arrow loose if need be.

Liah stood there, wide eyed. She absently patted Damon on the head, still in shock. "I'm...fine." She whispered quietly, still unable to believe what just happened. It was then that she realized Jason had been the one to warn her. Without his warning, she would be dead. "Thanks...for warning me." She said, a little more lively then before. "I owe you my life." A dry laugh escaped her and she stopped patting Damon.
'I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner.' Damon said, frustration in his voice. He was angered that he hadn't noticed the extra wolf so close to Liah. He walked slowly over to Jason and bowed his head respectfully in thanks.
