While waiting for the girl to answer her, Yuki noticed how fast Kiba was progressing. "Shinobu, get to your feet. Kiba will need a partner for this next part," Yuki said to the boy who was lounging about eating peanuts. "Shin is going to attack you, Kiba. You have to use the technique before you are hit. If you manage to dodge before he attacks, then spring a sneak attack back at Shin," Yuki explained the boy.
Switch with Object Before Partner Socks You Get a partner and practice together. Your partner will attack you and you will have to try and use the technique before you are hit. Shin shook his head as the peanuts cracked in his mouth while he chewed. Taking a deep swallow, he licked his salty lips before replying. "Nah, I learned Nawanuke and Bunshin. I kind of like Bunshin, but Tanu is better at Nawanuke than me," the dusty haired boy admitted as he flashed one of his squinty smiles. It was now that Shin had just really taken notice to the new face in the dojo. "Say, are you testing for genin? I haven't seen you before," the boy said with a friendly greeting as he waved one hand over at the young girl. The boy immeditely jumped to his feet the moment Yuki told him to. "Oh, ok!" Shin said standing ready to hit Kiba. "This should be pretty easy for you," Shin said, since he had just been told his weakest skill was taijutu. "Here it comes!" Shin said, ready to jump in and help his good friend while leaving his peanuts on the floor.

Darling.... Moma-Yuki...Wow..... Akemi wondered, her face blank, although her thin light eyebrows raised ever so slightly as the woman acknowledged her. Interesting... she though as she took a few steps into the little dojo. "My name is Raiken Akemi, I just arrived here earlier this morning and a man on the shore said I needed to look for you." she stated bluntly as she crossed her arms across her small chest. She looked around and the few others that where in the dojo, one sitting and eating, another apparently just passing her exam, and another working on something she didn't recognize. Akemi had a feeling she was going to be completely clueless when it came to this new way of life. "I was told you where the principal of the shinobi academy."

After getting over the initial shock of the suddeness with which he and Shin were told to fight Kiba got quite excited about the prospect. (Atleast he had not had a senbon randomly thrown at him like poor Tanu had.) Come to think of it he had yet to fight Shin despite having been in the villiage for about two years now. Not surprising really, Shin certainly did not carry the aura of a belligerent. In fact he had even started this little "fight" of sorts with telling Kiba this would probably be easy for him. The young Raiken certainly did not feel that either of the two of them would try to kill each other and appreciated Shin's help. More than anything the dark eyes of the Raiken youth burned with the desire to try out his new jutsu. "Thank you Shin-san!" responded Kiba as he took up a ready position. He watched carfully as Shin came at him itching to use his technique all the while when siddenly he heard the new arrival in the dojo proclaim herself a Raiken. Rather surprised to hear this Kiba turned his head to the side and said "A Raiken?..." before he could really examine her, however, he felt a blunt force up against the side of his head and the young Raiken was sent reeling backwards. "Dang it" he muttered as he rubbed the spot on his face where he had just been struck. Fool! Did he not know that never taking your eyes off of the opponent is one of the most basic principals of battle. He did and he greatly regretted his error.

"Haha!" Tanu laughed triumphantly as Yuki gave her approval. As the woman knocked her down on her skills in stealth, Tanu merely frowned and accepted her letter. "I'll be going to get my things now!" Tanu said with a big smirk on her face, as she waved the letter mostly at Kiba, rubbing it in that she was a genin before him. The girl stopped in her tracks when Shin walked back to the dojo with a bag of peanuts. "Hey, give me some of those," Tanu said as she reached into his satchel to take a few peanuts. Plopping them in her mouth she found them to be extremely salty and delicious. "I'll be back to check on you, Raiken!" Tanu shouted as she skipped down the steps of the dojo and started running out the back door. "I'm gonna get me some Tekagi!" the girl said with one last triumphant boast as she disappeared out the trail towards the center of the village where she would find the weapon shop.

Yuki crossed her arms over her large chest as Akemi spoke to her. "The other Raiken. You were the last one to arrive. Follow the trail in front of my house and keep to the right. It will lead you to the Sparring Rings where all the students are in class right now. We'll have your things moved into the Dorms. You won't be living there long since the Raiken Mansion is being built right now," Yuki explained to the girl as her emerald eyes watched Kiba and Shin carefully. "Go report to Hamma, who is teaching today. He'll get you started on your first lesson and you'll learn about the village as you live here day to day. Kiba here is your senpai, he's the second Raiken to make it to genin rank. Serena is the first," Yuki explained to the girl, giving her a lot of information to take in. "This looks like training for both of you! Don't hold back, Shin. Keep at it just like that," Yuki said to the taller boy with a smile as Kiba rubbed his cheek. "Try again, don't give up," Yuki said to the both of them.
"Are you ok Kiba!?" Shin said as he began panicking. "I was so excited, I didn't realize how fast I had thrown my punch," the dusty haired boy said as he took a few steps forward to check the spot he had hit Kiba. The stinging of his knuckles really didn't bother him as he was more worried about Kiba. His worry was washed away by Yuki's words though. Kiba always fought against Tanu, so his punch was probably just a pinch compared to hers. "Hai, Yuki-sensei," Shin said with a weak smile as he brought his fists up to his chin. "I'm coming again, Kiba," Shin warned his friend as he pulled his arm back to throw another punch at Kiba.

Other Raiken? She says that like it's a bad thing, she thought to herself, cocking her hip to the side as she listened to the woman speak. Kiba? The one that just got hit in the face? And two Raiken already genin... how many Raiken were already on this island? Her garudians had mentioned that a few where here, but they never mentioned that they were moving up in the ranks.... She would need to work hard in order to climb the ranks and prove and establish herself around here. Just you guys wait... Akemi thought to herself, her dark eyes smoldering a bit as she looked around at the few others in the dojo. "Sparring Rings, and Hamma... got it" she said turning her back on the woman, once again waving her hand lazily as she walked back out of the dojo. She did just as the woman told her to do and followed the trail, keeping to the right. "We'll see what this Hamma guy is like..." she said quietly as she walked along, a small smirk on her face as she thought about the people she had already come across today... a man with a face like a clown... a preppy overly helpful woman, and now a big chested "momma" figure... this place was getting rather interesting...

Having regained his composure Kiba could hear Shin profusely apologizing. The young Raiken chuckled a bit. "What are you apologizing for Shin-san?" he began "In a real fight my opponent won't be taking it easy on me! Show me your best!" The young Raiken was take quite by surprise, however, when he saw that Shin had already begun running towards him mid-way between Kiba's little monologue. No matter, this time the young Raiken was ready to react. Since Shin already knew what Kiba was going to do the Raiken youth did not try to hide his ram hand seal, but simply formed it out in the open and poof, Kiba dissapeared in a puff of smoke and was replaced by his own pair of ninja sandals he had taken off when he entered the dojo. This positioned him to Shin's back, but some distance to delay so there was no time to delay, and yet he could not help but feel proud. The feeling of trading places with his ninja sandals was incredibly exilerating.

Nope, not time to lose at all, though Kiba did hesitate a fraction of a second from the tauting by Tanu that was clearly directed at him. ...jerk... However, the dark eyed Raiken would not allow things outside of his training distract him again! With all of his speed he charged towards Shin's back as quietly as possible. He was some ten yards away and as he closed in he pulled out his trusty bokken. He would not miss! He swiftly drew the wooden blade to his side and prepared to release a horizontal slice squarely across Shin's shoulder blades. Of course, it was by all means possible that Shin might notice Kiba charging across the dojo right before the strike landed and have it land on his shoulder or even his chest as he turned to see his attacker, but these were the only scenarios Kiba allowed himself to see. He felt too confident for this attack to miss altogether. Of course, he would slow down the speed of the sword right before impact so as not to really hurt Shin, only let him know that he had gotten hit. Attacking an unarmed opponent with a heavy wooden sword from behind would be cruel.

[I'm counting your attack on Shin as a Completed sword exercise. XP ]
Even before Shin could react to Kiba's attack, Yuki knew that Kiba had landed it. "Nicely done," Yuki said with a smile as she walked over to her low sitting table to write on Kiba's profile and grab the single piece of paper she had given everyone else. "Its apparent that your Sword is your strongest skill, but what you lack is intimidation, Kiba. Work on that fierce fighting spirit when you pull out that sword and you'll see it become more useful," Yuki suggested as she handed him the piece of paper. "Head on down to the Lagoon, so Natamo can begin your squad's training. Also, stop by the clinic and weapon shop for your items, Kiba," the woman said as she began filling out the necessary paper work to finish up the day.

"Ah-" Shin started as Kiba suddenly disappeared and sandals were put in his place. "Fas-" the young Nara began again, but was quickly silenced by a hit across the back of his shoulders by Kiba's Bokken. The boy stumbled forward, knowing that the attack had not been a full one, but one that Kiba had held himself back with. "You were fast!" Shin said in amazement just as Yuki gave his teammate an approving smile. Once Yuki had passed Kiba as a genin, Shin pumped a fist into the air. "Alright!" he cheered leaving his hand open for a quick high-five from the Raiken. "I bet Tanu's already down there, let's get goin'!" Shin slightly shouted since he was truly enthused that they all had passed as genin. "Say, Kiba! Are you going to get a real sword now?" the boy asked, not knowing that the Raiken already had a Dao in his possession. Shin had only seen the Bokken out and in use. The Nara started slowly down the steps of the dojo after putting on his shoes, so that Kiba and him could walk together to the lagoon while talking.

The feeling of Kiba's bokken connecting with Shin's back was an immensly satisfying one. He was already preparing for his next move, however, when he heard Yuki end it early and announce his passing of the exam. He could not believe it! He shouted a triumphant "Yes!" into the air as he leaped for joy. "Arigato gozaimasu Yuki-sensei!" he said giving a quick bowto the woman who had just made him a genin. He listened intently to her advice before quickly joining Shin in celebrating giving his comrade a strong high five. Unable to contain his joy the young Raiken quickly slipped on his sandals and was hot on Shin's heels leaving the dojo. "Actually" the dark eyed Raiken began "I already have a dao, I just don't feel confident enough with it yet." he explained as he continued on his way off of the Tenmoki property.

(Enter from Shinobi Academy)
The grounds were silent. A small trickle of water resonated from the ponde, while carefully-groomed flowers set their saccharine scents upon the air. The garden was a peaceful sanctuary, and that was just what Akiko needed to complete her assignment. Her tangled mind began unraveling upon crossing the boundaries of the estate. By the time she reached the inner solitude, she was considerably more serene than her previous state at the academy.
Clearing out a soft patch of lush grass, Akiko took off her shoes and let herself feel the earth beneath her. Here, she felt like she could get her chakra to work again. So, she set about the task of surrounding herself with a field of chakra. Thankfully, at last, it actually held. A puff of fog clung to her skin, swirling about in a contained area. She let out a deep sigh of relief.

Akiko was feeling quite weary already, but she decided to try to push her limits. She brought out her chakra one last time, but it was in vain. Just as before, the energy wouldn't remain coherent enough for any practical use. She wasn't nearly as upset as she was before. After all, she was aware that she didn't perform that well when in such a condition as she. Akiko abandoned the task for now, instead opting to be seated next to the goldfish pond, the focal point of the garden. She dragged her let hand lazily through the water, feeling her connection to the element through her fingertips.
