Lin sighed, "If you say so."

Though personally she thought Storm just needed to get out more, but she wasn't going to say that. She led the way once more, and as she headed towards the stables she pointed towards the back, "That's where the field is," she told them, "It's all the food for the horses for the winter and stuff. I don't know if anyone is back there this time of year."

Adan giggled. "I like her," he grinned. "Thanks for bringing her here. I think she's beautiful."

He snuggled up against her again, stroking her head lovingly. "Nice griffin," he cooed.

Alyse nodded and tugged on Feng's hand. "Come," she murmured, her stone lighting up her hand as she clutched it close to her body. "Let's go inside and see."

"Maybe," Starr shrugged. "It looks like it might be harvest time here, like last fall back home when the people were taking down their crops and stuff."

"What's that?" Storm asked, pointing at a round pen between the barracks and the stables where a white-blond man was working with a horse.

"Well, thank Mother, she wanted to bring Tao here, and she'll probably help make sure Tao gets adjusted just fine," Ryu replied with a smile.

Tao tittered back as if trying to respond she understood the term nice and good and all that, especially to her. Which wasn't overly a surprise really.

Feng followed holding the stone close to her, "Okay," she smiled.

She figured it couldn't hurt as long as they were quiet.

Lin looked up ahead and smiled, she knew the person in the pen, even if she couldn't fully see his features from where she was, the fact he was in the pen working with a horse kind of was a give away.

"That would be the training pen, Amdir is working with a horse as usual, we can watch as long as we're not loud," she told the two, "Come on."

She was sure Amdir wouldn't mind after all.

Adan grinned. "Maybe I can go to work with Ada tomorrow," he suggested, "then I can see your mama, I haven't seen her since Alyse and Adwin were little. Ara-kun still teaches me a lot but he said not this week, I don't know why. Oh, and Shael too, except she's a bit grumpy sometimes so we have to make sure she's not in a bad mood first."

Alyse led Feng over to the house and reached for the door handle. Before she opened the door, however, she put one finger to her lips to make sure Feng knew to be very very quiet, and only then did she open the door to lead Feng inside.

Arwen grinned and pointed ahead. "Hey look!" she said brightly. "Lin's over there already with those two!"

She didn't know their names yet, but she knew they were some of her cousins too.

Shiro grinned at Arwen. "Yes," he agreed. "Storm and Starr. Are we going to the round place then?"

He could see a white-blond head in with a rather small-looking horse. "Is that Amdir?"

Ura trotted along silently behind the two, his golden eyes wide and looking everywhere, alert and observant.

Starr smiled. "And he's the one that Aliya married, right?" she asked. "She was just little the last time we were here ... littler than anyone I've ever seen before."

"Oh?" Ryu asked.

He couldn't imagine Shael being in a bad mood but then again it had been many years since the first time he had seen her and now that he thought about it she probably had grown up a lot.

Feng nodded with a smile as she led the little girl lead the way inside.

Lin giggled at that, "Yea, babies are small, but you get use to them after a while."

She no longer thought of babies coming from people odd, since now she had seen it for herself in bits and pieces. Though she still thought it was a bit inpractical, that was the way things were. There were plenty of babies around who were now children so it must work somehow.

"We might get to see a baby, Arthael was going to have a baby, might be a year already."

Adan nodded sadly, stroking Tao seemingly tirelessly. "She's been kinda grumpy since Uncle Adonai left," he murmured. "She didn't want him to go ... I could hear them yelling all the way out here."

Not that that meant much, with his elvish hearing and the fact that the window had been open, but still. It was the principle of the point. He had never heard anyone argue like that before.

Alyse closed the door behind Feng again, then padded softly across the floor, down the hall and towards the second door on the left. She tugged Feng inside quietly, putting a finger to her lips once more as they passed her parents' bedroom.

"Can you close the window?" she whispered once they were safely in her room. "And the shutters, okay?"

Amdir saw the kids approaching and waved briefly before continuing on with his training. He didn't recognize most of the children, but that just told him that, as ordered, Elnara and her family had come this time, too. Well, it looked as though it was going to be a very busy few weeks, then.

Arwen waved back at Amdir, then grinned at Shiro. "Aye, that's him," she agreed. "He trains the horses there in the pen, it works because there's no corners for the horses to hide from him and his training."

She picked up her pace a bit to catch up with Lin and the twins.

"A real baby?" Storm beamed. "That would be so cool! Aliya was the only real baby I ever saw before and that was a while ago, I think it would be really neat to see another baby!"

"I agree," Starr murmured softly. "Is there a way to know how much time has passed since your last visit?"

She waved back to Amdir who, she decided, was very friendly.

Shiro picked up his pace to keep up with Arwen, careful not to go too fast for Ura. "Lin!" he called out. "Storm! Starr!"

"Well... maybe with people visiting she'll cheer up a bit?" Ryu suggested, "It's hard when you see a family member leave when you lived with them for a long time."

At least he would think so personally.

Feng nodded at that as she crept along to close the window and the shutters carefully.

"No clue, at least not for your visit, maybe when Ulani comes you can ask her," Lin replied as she turned to the sound of Shiro's voice.

She smiled back at him, he was an interesting person to talk to and was just as curious as she was. Which was probably why she liked to simply talk to him.

"Shiro! Coming out to look around?"
